Reviews mention

  • Effective acne-clearing serums
  • Noticeably brighter, smoother skin
  • Minimalist, clinical formulations
  • Clear, straightforward labeling
  • Sticky serum textures
  • Potential irritation from actives
  • Hit-or-miss product efficacy
  • Confusing product naming

The Ordinary earns strong reviews for effective, ingredient-forward skincare that improves texture, hydration, acne, and glow—with standouts like Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, and the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. Reviews also flag weaknesses: some formulas feel sticky, can pill or irritate sensitive skin, high actives may overwhelm newbies, results can be hit-or-miss, and product naming/usage can be confusing.

  • I love the ordinary products!! My skin loves them, and it really makes my night time routine enjoyable.

  • Bought this for a partner, and occasionally will buy on behalf of friends in other countries. Interesting founding story but more importantly it's a good value price/quality and everyone who uses it loves it. I've personally used their exfoliant and moisturizes and can recommend as a solid day-day solution.

  • I love the ordinary for its no nonsense, product forward packaging. The low cost coupled with how effective this product is will always make me reach for it at the store.

  • I use the ordinary Niacinamide and the Hyaluronic acid. I love them both. The niacinimide (after washing my face) makes my pores really tiny and my skin looks really tight. I noticed that it sometimes reacts strangely with other products so experiment before doing a full face of makeup over this. The hyaluronic acid makes my lips look really plump. I make sure there is water on my face before and moisturize while it’s still wet!

  • i have the glycolic acid, it makes my skin super dewy and nice when im out, did make me break out at the start buts that normal. i use it for hyperpigmentation on my knees once a week.

  • AHA serum, works great, I’ve tried other brands at a much steeper price. This is equally as good at a fraction of the cost.

  • Amazing products for less cost, I like it a lot

  • I specifically love the Squalane cleanser that also works as a makeup remover. I have sensitive skin that usually breaks out with most cleansers, but I have not had this issue with this product, also it’s a very reasonable price and fast shipping. I also have a couple of the serums which I enjoy as well and are reasonable in price

  • Such amazing quality for such a great price. Good products to use for everyday and supplemental treatments

  • This ordinary skin product is anything but ordinary in its effectiveness. It doesn't boast fancy packaging or an exorbitant price tag, but it delivers where it matters most – results. The lightweight formula absorbs seamlessly into the skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and hydrated. What sets it apart is its versatility – suitable for daily use and compatible with various skin types. It strikes the perfect balance, providing just enough moisture without feeling greasy. Whether you're a skincare minimalist or looking for a reliable staple, this ordinary product proves that simplicity can be the key to radiant, healthy-looking skin. A dependable choice for those who appreciate beauty in the basics.

  • Love their products! Super clean and affordable options that DO deliver!

  • Some of their products are good but you should do your research on the efficacy of their products.

  • I have used several of the ordinary products. The best one is the niacinamide and I’ll keep buying it. I got one of the peels that works well and makes skin soft but fallow directions - can be painful if you have any acne or cuts and causes intense sensitivity to sunlight. I got a hand cream that was just ok - it was oily and didn’t absorb as well as others I have. I think this is a good brand and I’ve liked the products overall. But do your research on what your skin needs or ask your dermatologist to make a recommendation before buying.

  • Love how affordable these products are, but they've consistently been a bit too strong for my sensitive skin. Works well for my partner who is not quite as sensitive but it's not a great alternative for prescription-quality products.

  • I'm absolutely thrilled with The Ordinary's retinol products! Not only are they incredibly affordable, but their effectiveness is beyond impressive. My skin has seen a noticeable improvement in texture and tone. It's rare to find such high-quality skincare at such a reasonable price. The Ordinary really stands out for delivering results without breaking the bank. Highly recommend for anyone seeking effective, budget-friendly skincare solutions

  • Such great product for the pricepoint, not sure if I notice a huge difference with their products, but i like using this as an intro to new skincare to see if i like it or will use it without breaking the bank.

  • I own about 6-7 products from The Ordinary. My most faves are their face oils. They're not breaking my bank and keep my skin healthy. I'd highly recommend the brand.

  • As a guy, I didn’t really initiate my skincare so kudos to my partner who made my way to a skincare routine at the minimum level. The Ordinary is an affordable brand with science backup. I’d not be willing to spend a hefty price on a skincare product just to maintain a healthy skin.
