Reviews mention

  • Luxurious textures and packaging
  • Gentle, effective rice cleansers
  • Hydrating, glow-boosting moisturizers
  • Silky, pore-blurring primer
  • Occasionally heavy, sticky finishes
  • Fragrance irritates sensitive skin
  • Inconsistent sunscreen elegance
  • Mixed, average visible results

Tatcha earns largely positive reviews as a luxurious, effective skincare line, with standouts like The Dewy Skin Cream, The Water Cream, The Rice Wash/Polish, Camellia Cleansing Oil, and The Silk Canvas primer delivering soft, glowy, smooth skin and strong makeup prep. However, reviewers flag weaknesses: some formulas feel heavy or sticky, fragrance irritates sensitive skin, sunscreens and a few moisturizers underwhelm, and results can be average relative to hype.

  • My face love the cleanser and face moisturizer. And the lip mask balm OMG, makes my face soooooo soft.

  • I’ve been using Tatcha cleansers, and I love how they are gentle on the skin. Additionally, I’ve been using their oil cleanser for a while—it’s perfect for completely removing makeup while keeping the skin moisturized. Tatcha products are definitely worth the price.

  • Unpopular opinion - I tried out the moisturizer, toner, cleanser and scrub and all of them are so full of fragrance that they’re almost unusable. The scrub also left my face feeling more irritated than exfoliated. I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend any products but I know others like them!

  • Tried their water cream. I have combination skin and find moisturisers quite tricky. I need hydration but also need to manage my shiny tzone . This moisturiser is great. Feels very lightweight, skins in easily and is good under makeup. It’s not cheap but you don’t need much and could use a different moisturiser in the evening if you wanted to. I’d suggest trying to get a sample ahead of purchase to see it it’s for you.

  • Love the Tatcha products I have tried - I’ve tried the water line and dewy line, both are amazing. I do wish this was a bit more affordable.

  • Tatcha's products are made using natural formulas. As with all skincare products, being consistent with the use is most important. Their face lotions are very light and not greasy and the fragrance is very subtle. Their price point is on the higher end so I took one star off since you can buy comparable products for less.

  • My holy grail skincare brand. I love products across the entire collection, but I especially love the moisturizers. I've tried a few gifted moisturizers from other brands, but always come back to Tatcha. I use both the Dewy and Water cream depending on the season, and just started to incorporate the rice wash after cleansing.

  • Oh this brand is sooo good!! The dewy cream makes my skin look and feel so glowy and healthy!

  • This was really expensive for a small amount. I didn't notice any great improvement in my skin except if felt silkier and like it was holding moisture really well. Smells really good. If you have the money, go ahead and get some.

  • Got a moisturiser that was nice but potentially too expensive. I loved the spatula that came with it. I love their primer it makes my skin so smooth. Packaging can be a bit tricky as it’s screw open but a shallow container.

  • I have tried the Tatcha face wash and moisturizer and I LOVE the moisturizer better. It makes my skin feel so soft and I don't feel the need to apply is very often, which is a huge plus.

  • Tatcha is a beautiful and luxurious brand to use. My skin loves Tatcha but I cannot use it daily as my skin does tend to get a little irritated. I think this is because their products are quite rich and thick which can sometimes suffocate the skin. With this being said, their primers and moisturisers are such amazing quality that you just can't find anywhere else. I believe that it is definitely worth the money but cannot be used for every step of your regime like you can with some other skincare brands.

  • I love Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair Serum in Cream Treatment. This soothing cream is so hydrating and soothing (with both indigo and oatmeal to calm fussy skin), and over time it helps to smooth fine lines as well. It's a splurge, but I will consider repurchasing.

  • There is nothing wrong with this skincare line upon use, as everything is well made and didn't cause adverse effects. But, with so many other incredible options that really blow me away in terms of doing what they say they will, I think Tatcha falls somewhere on "average", especially given its higher price point. I don't dislike the brand by any means but, I would choose other more affordable and effective options, out there for my skincare needs. (and I am someone who invests heavily in skincare!)

  • I’ve only tried samples from Sephora, including the water cream and the silk canvas primer. I’m a fan of both, especially the latter. However, I think there are better primers out there that are better suited for my skin. I just haven’t felt fully compelled to commit and purchase full-sized products yet, though there are products I’d like to try (ex. Rice wash and rice polish).

    Feedback

In terms of the water cream moisturizer, it’s also nothing too special. However, it doesn’t cause any breakouts (woohoo!) and the travel size comes in handy. I’m very cautious with the products I purchase and nothing has fully wowed me yet, but nothing has disappointed either.

  • A luxury skincare brand that is worth the price if you can afford it! I received the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream Plumping & Hydrating Moisturizer from Sephora as a birthday gift. I am three years post-Accutane, so I am very particular about what I put on my skin. It was everything I imagined and more, but I could not justify spending $70 on a 1.70-ounce full-sized product that easily had competing products that performed wonderfully at a lower cost. Tatcha products would be great as things on my Christmas wish list, but not as products I could purchase for myself regularly.
