 1.0 Electric Toothbrush

  • Suri was my entry into electric toothbrushing, and as a gateway, it did its job. It's beautifully designed, looks great sitting on the counter, and was a genuinely lovely upgrade from a manual brush. If you're new to electric and want something that feels considered and aesthetic, it's a solid starting point. That said, after about a year I ended up upgrading to one of the more clinical, dentist-recommended brands, and the difference in actual cleaning was noticeable. Suri's a great looking object, and for plenty of people that's enough. I just personally landed somewhere that prioritizes performance over design.

  • Someone gave this to Suri 1.0 brush as a gift. I really appreciate their mission and their attention to design detail. The packaging was lovely and helpful in brush setup and the brush and components are also very nicely designed. I had previously used a Sonicare brush and the Suri brush seems less clunky and lighter weight. Since the battery lasts pretty long, it opens up the option for travel - i don't think ill be packing it for travel but it's nice to have the option anyway. The charging situation is unique because there's a separate little setup for when you do need to recharge. I don't love having more extra wires and components - it seems like everything has a different charging cable these days but at least it's fairly compact. The brush does seem to do a great cleaning teeth with very little effort. It also comes with a UV cleaning case and a mirror mount. I'm not sure how often i'll be using the cleaning case, but it's an interesting concept. I've made it this long without needing to clean my toothbrush that way so is it just another component? I really like the idea of the mirror mount BUT the brush didn't come any sort of cap or cover for while its sitting out there on the counter. It looks like the Suri 2.0 now comes with that but there's no way to purchase it separately - that's a design detail that's missing for me. Aside from that, I really like that the brush heads are recyclable.

  • I bought a suri brush, charging case, and stand when they were starting up back in 2022. I love it. Toothbrushes are generally all plastic waste and hard to recycle. I like that I can send the used brush heads back to them and they take care of that instead of just going to a landfill. I like that I can get a good product and with microplastics and bpa everywhere I am cautious about what I open myself up to. I had an issue with my original brush holding a charge after a couple years and they replaced it for a small fee which I really appreciated, I like that I have a uv cleaning option and that is great for travel. At the time I bought this no one was doing electric toothbrushes in a sustainable way and I am glad to have gotten in early. I also tried the toothpaste and it's excellent. I like that the packaging is recyclable and it is very effective. My teeth feel incredibly clean and it lasts all day. It doesn't foam like regular toothpaste which is hard to get used to so I waited a month to write this review. The tubes are also very small, which is nice if you want to be able to carry on a plane, but not a lot for the money. I paid around 29 for 4 tubes, which is pretty expensive for 10oz of toothpaste. But it is good toothpaste and no plastic, so thats worth something.

  • I've gone through countless electric toothbrushes, which all ended up in the trash, eventually - whether due to breaking, awful battery life, or both. I've had Suri now for almost two years, and it's not only an aesthetically pleasing toothbrush, its battery life is phenomenal and continues to be. The travel case that comes with it make it easy to travel with, avoiding the annoyance of your toothbrush switching on in your luggage by accident. I love the sustainable brush heads, too. The only downside is it dents easily due to being encased in metal. Unfortunately, I dropped it several times (which is to be expected!), and even the slightest impact leaves dents. The toothbrush still functions flawlessly, however.

  • Great customer service and end-to-end recycling solutions. The first toothbrush they mailed me died and they quickly sent a replacement. I love that you get to send the brush heads back for full end of life management. I went ahead and bought the UV case and it comes in handy for peace of mind during travel when you're not sure what your toothbrush may be exposed to. Charges quickly and bristles holds up nicely.

  • Unlike any electric toothbrush I’ve ever tried, my teeth have never gel cleaner. It aligns with my sustainability values while being super functional and lightweight. If you’ve been waiting for the right toothbrush, this is it.

  • The SURI electronic toothbrush is a game-changer for oral hygiene. Not only does it provide a deep, gentle clean, but it's also incredibly eco-friendly. The bamboo handle is biodegradable and compostable, and the toothbrush uses up to 80% less water than traditional toothbrushes. Plus, the sonic vibrations help whiten teeth and remove plaque without harsh chemicals. If you're currently using a manual toothbrush, you'll really enjoy SURI and if you're currently using an electronic toothbrush you'll appreciate the environmental friendliness! Definitely highly recommended!
