Supergoop! wins strong reviews for making daily SPF genuinely wearable and effective, with Unseen Sunscreen praised as weightless, invisible, and makeup‑primer smooth, and Glow Screen loved for its luminous tint; however, many reviews flag greasiness, pilling, breakouts, and mixed protection on long, hot days. Reviewers applaud no white cast, diverse textures, kid‑friendly PLAY, and on‑the‑go formats, while citing weaknesses like chemical scent, occasional separation, limited shade range in tints, and a consistently high price for small sizes.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
One of my favorite brands for sunscreen, as they have great safe and clean formulas and high spf coverage. I very much enjoy the powder sunscreen as an addition to my makeup regimen.
I feel like the outlier but I do not care for Supergoop products. I think they are overpriced and overrated, and I hate the texture of the unseen sunscreen. Much prefer the Vacation sunscreen products or even drugstore sunscreens like Aveeno and Neutrogena, and of course international sunscreens. The only one I kinda like is the handscreen but again the price is a bit much.
I'm going to be real with y'all, I don't understand the hype. Me and my partner confidently bought the GINORMOUS size because everyone says how amazing it is, and I loved the reduction in plastic that comes from buying bigger sizes/not having to keep buying multiple times throughout the summer. For disrupting the industry with this big size, I'll give it two stars, but the best kind of sunscreen is the one you wear, and this formula is sooo sticky (and never dries down), that we don't want to. Maybe I just spoiled myself with Korean sunscreen brands, but we both actually feel kind of gross after applying it. As for US brands, a much better sunscreen to me is Black Girl Sunscreen.
Love it not thick and filmy!
I love Supergoop! It works so well with my skin type, combination. Their products, especially the glowscreen, blends into my skin and protects it all day long. Doesn't pill, blends nicely, and I feel safe using it.

I use the Daily spf every day. I’ve tried a lot of different types of spfs. This is the one kind that does not look oily. I also like the glow screen looks nice in the summer. Just a little expensive compared to others
Pretty good. I like their daily dose vitamin c
I'll be honest, someone left a big bottle of Supergoop PLAY SPF 50 on the beach, and I took it. I liked how it was light to the tough and didn't leave my skin feeling greasy afterward. I never got a sunburn when I used it, so the SPF held up as promised. I had no idea, however, that the bottle retailed for as much as it did -- I certainly don't think I would purchase it for the price I heard it costs!
Love the supergoop sunscreen and chapstick. I love that it is a clean product with high SPF. I have several tubes in my car and hiking bag. It’s easy to grab and go and doesn’t leave a greasy residue feeling.
Supergoop! is my go-to, everyday sunscreen. I love that it blends easily and doesn't have a strong sunscreen smell. I have acne prone skin, and the unseen Sunscreen doesn't cause me any breakouts. The travel sizes are great for on the go. I am looking forwarded to trying their spray sunscreens and lip products.
great sunscreen, I don't use chemical sunscreen when I live by the ocean but now that I've moved inland this is one of my faves! a bit pricey so it's a splurge for me.
Love Supergoop! Their Unseen Sunscreen is a staple in my beauty routine and I have never found anything comparable! So lightweight.

It’s so oily. I want to love it so much but I think it breaks me out.

Swear by the Glow Screen!
I tried the Supergoop PLAY Everyday Lotion and while they describe it as non-greasy, I felt like oil was covering my face when I first tried it. It was almost like a primer that leaves your face feeling greasy. Maybe the formulation works for some but because I didn't like the texture I wasn't using as much as you should for sunscreen.
Unseen Sunscreen has no cast, glides on smoothly and leaves very little oily feeling or residue. If you dread putting on sunscreen like me this is a great option. It has a silicone feel similar to The Benefit’s Porefessional primer
