Reviews mention

  • Tasty low‑sugar candies
  • Nostalgic flavor recreations
  • Bright, fruity flavor profiles
  • Convenient portioned packaging
  • Extremely sticky texture
  • Inconsistent chewiness firmness
  • Sweetener aftertaste lingering
  • Potential gastrointestinal discomfort

SmartSweets earns positive reviews for genuinely tasty, low‑sugar takes on nostalgic gummies like Sweet Fish, Peach Rings, Sourmelon Bites, and Red Twists; it satisfies cravings and often avoids “fake” sweetener aftertaste. Reviews also flag real drawbacks: many candies are extremely sticky or tough, flavors can be inconsistent with occasional stevia/allulose aftertaste and GI upset, and portions feel small. Overall, SmartSweets is good if cutting sugar, but texture quirks and formula variability make it a compromise for purists.

  • I tried the watermelon flavor and while the taste was great, the texture was more sticky than chewy / gummy.

    Feedback

I would try this again if they changed the consistency to be less sticky and more like a traditional gummy.

  • I tried the peach rings and they REALLY stuck to my teeth. The flavour was acceptable but I really cannot get over the stickiness. Another thing is the powder coating of the candy was a bit off putting.

    Feedback

    Needs to be less sticky

  • The texture of these is soooo good. I actually prefer it to traditional candy. The low-sugar option is great for when you want a treat, but don't want to feel absolutely awful afterward.

    Feedback

Normally I am very adverse to anything with monk fruit or stevia, but these somehow seem to include those ingredients without them being very present on the palette.

  • Tested the Swedish fish. Flavor was less than ok but not bad, but unjustifiable for the price.

    Feedback

The flavor was just kind of boring and artificial.

  • I wanted to love these but was not a fan of the taste. They don't come close to a favorite gummy brand full of sugar. I may try some of the other flavor options to see if I like those better. Very cute packaging and marketing though!

  • swedish fish are great, tastes like the real thing. a bit pricey for the portion, espescially compared to traditional candy

  • Great idea, but overall these candies have a gummy taste to them

    Feedback

I wish they were made with better ingredients and that I didn't have to chew so hard when eating them

  • These have saved me on my weight loss journey. I’ve always been a gummy snack person and these have been they perfect thing to satisfy my craving. I also always buy the individual bags instead of the big ones so it’s built in portion control!

    Feedback

The textures are close to typical candy but there is still definitely a difference

  • I've only had the Sweet Fish one, but they taste exactly like Swedish fish! I think the candy is a little overpriced for how much you get in a pack, but overall great taste!

  • I have a huge sweet tooth for gummy candy, but I usually don’t feel too great after eating the sugary stuff. Smart sweets are delicious and I can eat a bag without upsetting my stomach.

    Feedback

They tend to really stick to my teeth, more so than regular gummy candy

  • This five-star review is for the peach rings, sour watermelon, and sweet fish. The flavors are great and worth it to avoid the calorie splurge. That being said, not all flavors are a win; I was disappointed by the lack of flavor in the gummy worms. It was way too subtle.

  • I like the intention but I don't really care for the result. I don't really enjoy the texture or the flavor. I would recommend it for someone who needs less sugar but it's not my personal favorite

    Texture

  • Meh. Not super tasty, but easy to eat for ~100 calories a pack. Wouldn't necessarily recommend, but something fun to chew on as a low-sugar alternative.

  • LOVE these as a healthier(ish) gummy alternative, but I feel like they've changed their formula in the last year or so. The Swedish fish (my favorite flavor) has changed consistency and is now chewier/get stuck in my teeth.

  • Feedback

Love that they are a low-sugar alternative, but they don't quit replace the originals.

  • These are good but not as good as the OG candies they're intended to replicate. I definitely appreciate having a healthier option.

    Feedback

    the portions are rather small

  • Love the idea of them but they are not only very expensive, but the peach rings also have such a weird aftertaste and texture that I could barely get one down!

  • While they won’t taste exactly like the candy they’re subbing in for, they’re still very good and definitely avoid the “this is healthy” taste!
