  • Lower‑sugar candy formulas
  • Convenient portion packs
  • Vegan, plant‑based options
  • Extremely sticky texture
  • Inconsistent chew quality
  • Notable sweetener aftertaste
  • Potential gi discomfort

SmartSweets earns largely positive reviews as a lower‑sugar candy that satisfies cravings—standouts include Sweet Fish, Peach Rings, Sourmelon Bites, red twists, and gummy worms—while recurring complaints in reviews cite an extremely sticky, tooth‑clinging texture and occasional odd or stevia‑like aftertaste. Reviews also note inconsistent chew across flavors and batches, plus some GI sensitivity for a few users; if you want a healthier candy fix and can accept a different chew, SmartSweets is a compelling swap, but purists may prefer the originals.

  • Somehow these sweets don't make me feel terrible, even if I eat an entire bag. The flavors are awesome.

  • LOVE THESE. Taste and texture are on point.

  • These are great when you have a gummy craving. The flavor is not as strong as other brands and the package has a small serving size which is fine. It’s harder to find all types in stores and harder to find a value pack.

  • I love the idea of this, but the candy just does not taste great. It makes sense since it is healthy, but I wish it tasted better.

  • "Indulge smarter with SmartSweets! 🍬✨ Experience the perfect blend of sweet cravings and smart choices. These guilt-free treats redefine candy, offering bold flavors without the sugar overload. • These are great for someone who can’t have too much sugar but if you’re looking for some candy candy you might be a bit disappointed. Still I think they did really low sugar really well

  • I like these, but they are very chewy. So I grab them only when I'm craving something very chewy.

  • Love the concept, but I hate stevia and so most of them you can really taste it.

  • This is the best cheat food ever created! I can’t have sugar, so whenever I’m really craving some junk like a gummy worm, this is my go to treat. And of course kids love it, it totally doesn’t take “fake” like so many stevia products. Very well done!

  • I thought that they tasted decent but the texture wasn't "right". You also need to pay attention to how much fiber is in one of the packets or you will be regretting it later.

  • Great idea, but it seems overly expensive for what it is. The packages are quite small.

  • Smart Sweets is a delightful treat that doesn't compromise on taste while keeping health in check. My daughter absolutely adores them, and I feel good about her snacking choice. A perfect blend of sweetness and smart nutrition, they're a hit in our household!

  • Weird ass taste, sugar alcohols give bubble guts. Just eat the real thing!

  • I love Smart Sweets! My favorite flavor is sour watermelon. It's great to indulge guilt-free!

  • Love the healthier option for chewy candies. At first the texture was a little difficult to get used to but now I love them and prefer them!

  • One of the only candy brands we have in our house! Dye and toxic free! Adult & kid friendly for when you want a clean sweet treat!

  • I enjoy smart sweets, but they’re an occasional treat because of the cost. I love candy! But as an adult it turns out that one’s whole calorie allowance cannot be just gummies. So sad. So I’m always willing to give a reduced calorie or alternative sweetened candy a try. Smart sweets does a pretty good job on all fronts. Texture; The texture of the gummies is closet to a “naturally flavored gummy” from any of the national brands. It’s more pillowy and doesn’t quite have the heavy chew that a very traditional American gummy has. Flavor: The fruit flavors could use some amping up (not unusual in American gummies) but they’re easy to distinguish from each other. The sweetness level is a little blunted, probably because lack of natural sugar. But that may be a plus for people who don’t like a super sweet candy. I shared these with friends and some people perceived them as crazy sweet. So my best guess is that this is a tastebud thing. Buy a bag before you buy a case. Unmentionables: There’s another reason for that too: some people do have GI intolerances to the ingredients Smart Sweets. Typically it’s something that a tolerance can be developed for unlike sugar alcohols. Start slowly. Overall: One of the best options on the market if you are avoiding sugar for reasons and don’t want to make your own candy
