I always assumed Saltair was on the pricey end but I appreciate that it is reasonably priced (more expensive than your drug store brand, but still affordable all considering!) The packaging is nice and the scents are more sophisticated than what you find in the drug store brand category. My husband loved the Black Tide body wash, I personally loved Santal Bloom and Exotic Pulp is nice when I need a bright, tropical getaway when it's dreary out. I have also really enjoyed the overnight retinol body lotion which is a new release. It doesn't irritate my skin which has been more sensitive to itchy skin due to the heater being on during the winter. Also, I love that it absorbs quickly and is fragrance-free. Is my skin firmer? Can't speak to that yet.
The description for the Santal Bloom Body Wash was one of the more appealing scents on the site, and while it does smell good/as described overall, there is definitely something about it that makes it smell cheaper than more luxurious (and obviously, more pricey) brands like Aesop or Le Labo. That being said, it is much cheaper than those other brands, but there are also body washes at the same price point (Dr. Bronner) that don't necessarily seem "cheap". The body wash does feel nourishing and leaves the skin feeling soft. That being said, this was only one of the scents, and there may be others that smell much better. I wish the company had a better return policy (at the customer's expense) since there isn't a way to figure out which scents you might like the best.
I would give this brand 5 stars if I didn't have to have it shipped to me, but since I live in Hawaii, I had it shipped and that's where they lose the star--although shipping is GREAT! It's fast and very communicative! My only issue with this product is that some of the bottles didn't make it without leaking, and since the package is only packed down using brown paper, I had a sticky, goopy box... but at least it smelled good! So be aware, if you are ordering to a far away location, contents may arrive a little leaky.
Anyway, aside from the mishap, I love Saltair. I find that the body wash smells lovely, but the scent also stays. Not like you're going to be bombarded with scent and then it leaves as soon as you leave the shower. I also appreciate the pump when the bottle gets down to about 10% left. Then it's a little hard to get out the remainder, but hey, maybe it makes showering more fun. The suds facts is also great because it's not excessive, but while I know suds are not necessary, I like to have them. Between the Santal and Seascape sent I purchased, I have enjoyed both tremendously.
I purchased the Cleanse and Hydrate bundle with the Santal scent and it has really made my skin feel so nice and clean. I use the hyaluronic acid to help with moisture, mostly after travel, and it feels just really nice after that post flight shower. It dries quickly, but I will say that I do often do a second layer of moisturizer if I am especially dry.
All in all, I really enjoy Saltair. I used to buy it from a big box store, but since I no longer support said store, I will continue to purchase from Saltair directly... hoping they address the issue of the product leaking during shipping.
I absolutely love their lotion and body washes. The scents are elevated. The lotion is very nourishing and is absorbed quickly without a greasy feel. They do all this while maintaining an affordable price point. Win Win in my book and I will definitely continue to purchase.
I haven't had a solid body wash in a while and wanted to up my post shower self care routine so I jumped at the Thingtesting opportunity for this. First - the body wash feels great, smells great, and has worked well to gently wash off all of the markers my kids mark me up with. I love using the body hydrator right out of the shower. It is so easy to use - goes on easily unlike lotion - makes my skin feel so soft. I haven't tested the overnight retinol yet but I plan to - and I'm sure I won't be disappointed based on the two other products.
I love the body wash and body oil. They're both great however I don't know if they're game changing for my skin or anything special but they're nice and I love the branding. The body oil specifically feels very luxurious.
This body wash is amazing and smells incredible. However the deodorant doesn’t work that well but I still would buy the body wash again and again. The smell is heavenly and it makes my whole bathroom smell amazing. I like some of the other scents too besides the Santal one.
Tried out the mini body washes and they smelled pretty good, but scent was not long lasting not did it carry. Was also not moisturizing, so left much to be desired for body washes I usually go for. Would not purchase again
I absolutely love Saltair! The body washes smell incredible and the scent lasts for hours, which is a huge plus. Every time I use them, my skin feels super soft and smells amazing all day long. I’ve tried a few of their scents, and they’re all fresh and unique—definitely not your typical body wash fragrances.
Overall, I give it an 8/10. It’s really great, but there’s always room for a little more improvement. If you’re looking for a body wash that smells amazing and lasts, though, I highly recommend giving Saltair a try. It’s quickly become one of my favorites!
