Reel earns strong reviews as a sustainable, bamboo-based toilet paper that works: it’s consistently described as soft enough, strong, absorbent, and lint-free, with many users switching permanently. Reviews also flag weaknesses—several find it less plush than top national brands, occasionally thin or a bit rough, with smaller rolls—and note some prefer a softer, thicker feel.

  • This is a good product. It is sturdy, thicker than you might expect. Each roll comes individually wrapped in paper. It comes in a large cardboard box. Everything seems very recyclable.

I would like to know how much sustainability is accomplished in the producing and shipping of this product. Are there hidden trade offs when it comes to working with Mother Nature. Are there bamboo farms anywhere in the United States? Fossil fuels used in shipping, water usage in production, etc etc. I don't know what all is entailed and how much of an offset there is using this product or others like it. People drawn to using bamboo toilet paper will want to know the details.

  • I like the paper towels and that the roll is wrapped in paper and not plastic.

  • Convenient to have a subscription. We never run out of toilet paper! The rolls are soft and durable and the price is comparable to dept store brands. Sustainably sourced materials are a big reason why we buy this paper.

No need to individually wrap rolls. Save the paper!

  • Been a customer for a long time now and can not give enough praise to how awesome their paper towel/toilet products. Before between having to keep track of our supplies, alongside the vary degrees of quality, to the price per roll was getting to much frustration to haggle with. Granted while it's not "as cheap" as say the bargain price rolls, I'm not feeling an existential dread overspending at the store. Which speaking of quality, wow. Simply amazing, as I mentioned it's far from cheap and among the greatest hands down. We got this at the same time I got a new dog, so as you can imagine few accidents cropped up with knocked drinks and pee spots. In some cases we'd need a whole roll just cause it wouldn't soak up anything, but with reel I've never had to use more than a couple of sheets at a time and if I did use more it was because I had the ability to do so without that dread of how much waste I was making. Final thing is the shipping which the only issue we've ever ran into is trying to figure out which amount of weeks is the right amount as we've had to put a pause for a bit on ours as we had a stockpile going that I was joking to give out to friends as a way for them to try it out.

  • I am allergic to most toilet tissue. I have been using Reel for several years. No problems at all!!

  • It doesn't fall apart and is soft enough that it doesn't feel rough.

  • I love reel tissue! This company is amazing and I will continue to support them and share their products with others. Such a great product that doesn't have harmful chemicals, dyes, or perfumes, and it has a great texture for your skin.

  • I love the idea of non paper toilet paper. The texture is great and similar to Cottonelle. It does note to be septic friendly. I tried it out by wetting some and letting it sit, and the paper did break up. I am also happy that it is available at Target for an easy stock up.

Please start making Puff's quality facial tissues. I need a strong facial tissue and I want a bamboo product.

  • We like the set-it-and-forget-it ease of having a reel subscription. Setting that up was very easy, and we did it near the start of shutdowns in 2020. The paper quality has increased over time: it seems softer and a little plusher than when we first started. Note that it in no way as thick or soft as some national brands, but it is plenty soft for daily use. Regardless, we like that it's sustainable, that the packaging is completely recyclable, and we appreciate being able to support a small business. Their communication has always been stellar. Very happy with reel.

  • I really love the TP, it's sturdy enough, soft enough, affordable enough, and in easy to use nice packaging.

I've only used the toilet paper (the paper towels are too expensive for me to afford so haven't tried them) but honestly it's perfect never change!

  • I have been using Reel toilet paper for years. The product is a perfect texture for me and my family. It's not the ultra plushy cottony stuff nor is it like wiping with cardboard. Reel is a perfect texture. It never tears and is very absorbent. I really love my Reel toilet paper and as friends and family could tell you, I am weirdly passionate about it... Additonally, their customer service tea is personable and very very helpful. Onve, Fedex lost my shipment and I was down to one roll, Reel had a new shipment on my doorstep in 24 hours!

    None.

  • Easy to order. Easy to adjust the timing of the subscription delivery. The quality of the product is great, especially since it's priced competitively to the products I can get in the grocery store. Very much appreciate the complete lack of plastic from the product to the packaging.

I'd love you to complete the trifecta of household paper products by offering facial tissue as well.

  • All packaging is recyclable. No plastic! The TP isn't super soft but I got over it for the sustainability. It is absorbent and in the end that's what matters. Also, they send an email with enough time to decide whether I'm ready for my next shipment or need to delay it which is one of my favorite features.

    Feedback

The texture isn't always consistent. It could use some softening as well.

  • I actually ran a test of about 10 kinds of bamboo tp. I compared everything, from paper thickness and softness to things like sheet size, roll size and perforations. Reel came out on top, plus they seem like nice people. (And no potty talk!)

Wrapping could be prettier (like Tush).

  • Love that it is a quality product that also has a small footprint

  • I love reel. I’ve been using it for almost three years. I like that I can find it at target now!

    Feedback

    Nothing!

  • Reel toilet paper and paper towels are both high quality, sustainable products. I love the no plastic packaging and I would rate the product effectiveness as comparable to less sustainable paper products like Charmin or Bounty. They have also been super transparent any time they've needed to adjust their pricing.

    Feedback

If I have one complaint, it's that the lowest frequency auto-deliveries are still too frequent, so I end up having to manually skip orders a lot as a 2 person household. I'm sure anyone with a larger family would not have that issue though!

  • When I started my subscription, I used the number of rolls that we were using. That was wrong. We use half the number of rolls of Reel as we did with some of the major (most popular) brands of toilet paper available. I still have too much, but we are protected from the next TP shortage. I love the way Reel cleans, and I love that I am saving money helping the environment.

  • Why would I use conventional toilet paper when I can move over to Reel and have some impact. Works the same way (after all, its TP and paper towels). Can't recommend enough since we as a society continue to waste natural resources and we need solutions

  • This is the best toilet paper I’ve used to date. Great quality, guilt free, and convenient. Couldn’t ask for more.
