Reviews mention

  • Highly pigmented blush formula
  • Inclusive, thoughtful shade range
  • Elegant, accessible packaging
  • Blendable, lightweight textures
  • Mascara prone to fallout
  • Eyeliner dries or fades quickly
  • Perfume’s weak scent longevity
  • Blush difficult for beginners

Rare Beauty impresses in reviews for performance: highly pigmented blushes, blendable base products, and inclusive shade ranges deliver natural, long‑lasting results, while sleek, accessible packaging elevates routine. Weaknesses surface around certain formulas and usability—mascara fallout for some, liquid eyeliner drying or fading early, perfumes with short longevity, occasional leaking or bulky components, and the blush’s steep learning curve and potential to fade or cake on some skin types—making product selection key.

  • I have tried Soft Punch Liquid Blush, Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation, and Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer. I do not often wear full face makeup, but when I do it has to look natural to my skin tone (very fair, neutral), it has to be breathable (the less I can feel it the better), it has to transfer to clothing *very little*, and it has to be cruelty free. There are also certain ingredients I have to avoid because of rosacea and eczema flares. I tried the Liquid Blush as a sample and was absolutely blown away by how lightweight it was, how richly pigmented it was in both light and dark shades [read: you don't gotta use much to achieve your look], and how well it fixed to my foundation to avoid transfer. I have also tried this Blush on bare skin, and it does not accentuate enlarged pores. Simply beautiful. Zero rosacea flares or breakouts. I bought it in a few shades and tend to ignore my powder blushes now. Next I tried the Concealer. Again, it was remarkably lightweight and richly pigmented, so I use very little. As a "neutral" toned person, I am lucky to be able to fit into many brands' fairest color bracket whether advertised as "cool" or "warm" (though I am often left out, with shades that are simply toned too dark). In Rare Beauty, I wear 130N (same as my foundation) and will use a highlighter to brighten what's needed. This is my go-to Concealer now. The Foundation is, again, lightweight and richly pigmented. This appears to be a pattern across the brand, though I haven't tested anything else to confirm. While this isn't my go-to foundation, it IS my backup and is what I'll use if I'm leaning oily/overheated.

I am a sucker for non-tacky balms and glosses. I've haven't taken the leap yet with Rare Beauty because of the lack of colors on the "pale gal" end of the spectrum. On the models, all the colors look beautiful but super, super dark. While I'm not opposed to wearing a dark lip, it's definitely not a daily lip color for me. Lipwear is literally the only makeup that I do wear every day, so I'm super picky.

  • Always an Optimist Illuminating Primer has become a holy grail. I love the formula and how clean the ingredients are. Never clogs my pores and gives me a perfect glowy base for my makeup. I can’t wait to try other products from this brand.

  • Picked up the Rare Beauty Liquid Luminizer in REFLECT. Perfect for darker skin tones and very blendable and buildable. Works great layered on top of blush

  • Love everything about this brand. The formulation, packaging, easy application and the wide range or colors. I am in love with the blush and use it every single day. I have sensitive skin and this does not break me out at all.

  • Rare Beauty has an amazing volumizing mascara that still makes sure that my lashes look relatively natural. It also doesn't smudge too much (and I'm pretty bad at applying mascara and fall victim to smudging all the time) and the packaging is so cute!

  • Okay, let me just say, I’m obsessed with Rare Beauty! The lip products? Chef’s kiss – they’re smooth, long-lasting, and the shades are so gorgeous I could cry. But the real magic happens with the blushes. They are crazy pigmented, like a little dab and boom you’ve got a whole glow going on. The best part? These products last forever because, honestly, a tiny bit of these super-pigmented wonders goes such a long way.

  • Love the products and messaging behind the brand. Will keep buying!!

  • I ordered the liquid blush, foundation and lip stick. All worked beautifully. I also ordered the bronzer stick, now this is fantastic it melts into the skin perfectly.

  • Really good quality and lasts forever

  • Great pigment long lasting not tacky or too glossy

  • If you were to tell me a few months ago, I would’ve been head over heels for rare. Her blushes and bronzer sticks are the key to a fresh base in my toolkit. The lipliners are creamy but beyond that I haven’t been too excited about anything else, and after their neutral stance on the Palestinian massacre I have lost respect for them.

  • only purchased their liquid blush and I don't think I need a refill of that anytime soon lol. Very pigmented which I like, so it's def worth the money for how long it lasts. Cute packaging as well!

  • Great quality for the price. While I wouldn't say that this is cheap, it is one of the more affordable brands currently at Sephora. Big fan of the tinted moisturizer and their liquid eyeliner. Also a fan of the brand message and efforts towards inclusivity.

  • I love how pigmented their blushes are!! A staple in my makeup routine!

  • I love the blushes , highlighters and the lip tint . What else can I say I love the brand. Definitely recommend

  • I can’t rave about this brand enough. Every product I have tried I have really enjoyed and the price point and colour options are really good too. I really like their blusher and I’m in the process of working through some of their primers. Im not convinced I’m a lover of a primer but I’ll keep trying! If you are are fan of a liquid blush then do give soft pinch a try.

  • I’ve tired one of the rare beauty blushes and lip oil. Overall I was skeptical of colors but I love them
