quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

  • My kids have loved these toothbrushes for years! Keeps them brushing regularly with ease of use. I personally love the dental floss and find it to work so much better than other products founds in stores.

  • I like quip and the app experience. I have always struggled with brushing my teeth for to short of a time, so the time limits for each teeth region has helped me have much healthier habits. I also love the sustainable packaging and ability to reuse the toothbrush base and eliminates single use flossers. I wish there were even move sustainable options, like bamboo heads and flossers. Most of the products are plastic. I also wish it was rechargeable instead of battery operated because I never have enough batteries in the house. All in all it’s great company with innovative products that I will continue to use.

  • Did not like the Quip toothbrush. I didn't like the holder, it felt messy when stored. Went back to my Philips. Teeth felt cleaner when using other brush.

  • I been using this toothbrush for about 2 years now and i truly enjoy it. Easy to use, lightweight and not crzy expensive.

  • 1) The only toothbrush I got with them broke . It just stopped working one day 2) It feel overpriced for what I'm getting, especially because I'm wary of subscriptions. It just feels like their price is at that point because they've presented their product a certain way but nothing else to really back it up. 3) Quip just doesn't compare to competitors. I went from using the phillips sonicare line to quip and then switched back because I just felt like it wasn't cleaning as well. This is purely from personal opinion and I don't have empirical evidence to back it, but I just feel like the quip toothbrush is nothing special. I will give them props for making it super simple to quit the subscription, though.

  • The only reason I even gave it 2 stars is bc it’s an affordable way to get into an electric toothbrush. I was not impressed. It just vibrates so doesn’t feel like it’s doing much more cleaning than a manual toothbrush would and my holding case that I put on my mirror like instructed continually got moldy. I ended up throwing the whole toothbrush away.

  • Love my quip toothbrush and it definitely makes me actually brush my teeth correctly. It’s super convenient to not have to remember to buy a new head. I have had issues with the motor before but customer services was able to sort it all out easily.

  • I love this brand!! Quip is amazing and it is super convenient for traveling!!

  • Sadly, Quip really missed the mark for me. I cannot speak to any product other than their brushes, but please be cautious when using! I have relatively good teeth, and purchased a Quip to up my game. After about 2 months of daily use, my gums actually started receding. Luckily, because I was oil pulling, flossing, and paying great attention, I was able to catch it before it got bad. I would caution people who 1) brush hard and 2) don't typically use electric toothbrushes. I've since switched to a competitor with a gentle head and have had no problems :)

  • Overall, I really like my reusable floss pick and it's well-designed. However the floss loses tension quickly. While I use this the majority of the time, once a week I use a Plackers double floss pick which feels like it does a better job cleaning since it's double flossed and is a thinner more abrasive floss. While the quip floss is very waxed, it sometimes feels as if it's just gliding between the teeth rather than removing all the build-up.

  • Very light weight . Very easy to travel with but I didn’t feel the vibration was strong enough for a deep clean . The toothpaste had an ok taste didn’t feel like I had a deep cleaning

  • I've had my quip toothbrush for a really long time--maybe 5 years. it was the first electric toothbrush I ever bought. the design is great, but the refills are increasingly expensive and there is no way to 1) close the loop with recycling and 2) dispose of the batteries. obviously i could dispose of the batteries myself, but it would be great if the company would find a way to allow an easy return of both used toothbrush heads and batteries to avoid landfills.

  • I bought my Quip about three years ago and loved it! I like how easy it was to pack and go and the battery life was phenomenal. The brush is designed very well. A few cons is the online subscription. I was put off at first by the subscription since I didn't like the idea of having to wait for my need brush head to come in the mail. I'd rather a notification be send to me via email based on my purchase to indicate it was time to change the head instead of a recurring payment. I have since replaced my quip altogether - changing the heads was super difficult and the hassle wasn't worth the price.

  • I love the look and the way it fits in its holder on the mirror, but I don’t love how small the brush head is. It kind of feels like a child’s toothbrush. But the sleek design makes up for it! The toothpaste wasn’t my favorite. My teeth just didn’t feel as clean as they do with other brands.

  • My kids love their quips

  • I’ve had a quip for a few years. It’s great to travel with and easy to use but is in incomparable to an electric toothbrush. Think of this as one step above a normal toothbrush. I use it to travel mostly and prefer a real electric toothbrush for every day.

  • Overall I have really like this toothbrush, it's slim and easy to pack when traveling, and I like the sleek look. I do wish there were different brush head options, but otherwise I would definitely recommend.

  • I was excited to try this, but frankly did not leave my teeth feeling clean.

  • Expensive and delicate! Okay, Appearance - 3/5. Some kind of minimalistic design Weight - lightweight for an electric tooth brush Bristles - they bent in a week! A week!!! The tooth brush looked like it was battered after using it for just a week! The heads will add up if that’s how fast they are going bad.

  • I only have really tried their flosser tool and it was a little lackluster to me. The tool itself was cool, but it was hard to tear the floss, and I would have probably had an easier time flossing with my fingers.
