    Boxed Water is Better

I got this for free a couple times. Each time, I was very excited because it had been something I've been wanting to try but isn't important enough for me to actually remember. So glad I got it for free each time I got it because this water tastes like what jet fuel tastes like when you smell it. bonus points if you get what I'm saying when I say it tastes like what jet fuel tastes like specifically when you're on the jetbride to your morning flight, it's still chilly/foggy outside and you just want to sleep.

    Away

I'm a ride or die Away fan, but that's more because I'm obsessed with the appearance than anything. I've had my Aluminum luggage set for a couple years now (I got them when they first released the aluminum series), and I can say that I love it. PROS - Amazing customer service: It didn't happen to my bag, but someone I know had a bag that got dented in a way that prevented the suitcase from fully sealing properly when closed. Away honored their lifetime warranty and sent her a brand new suitcase (which seemed to have reinforcement now where the problem arose). - The wheels are butter. The handle bar is sturdy enough where you don't have to push the suitcase itself much. Rolling my away suitcase and then rolling my delsey (tbf my away has about 4 years on her) bag, the difference of rolling the two bags was night and day. - I talk about how I think the battery is pretty useless BUT THE CHARGER!!! THE CHARGER SHE COMES WITH!!! (once again, I'd like to reiterate, she's nothing special and you could probably buy a banger charger for the price difference BUT) the mesh charger bag that the international plugs came in is actually one of the best things ever. I use that pouch like it's my emotional support animal and probably use it on every trip, even when I'm not using my suitcase. The cube is also great, and she's probably the thing I use the most out of all my away products. The micro usb charger it came with isn't great, but it's probably different from the one they had when I bought my bag - The laundry bags are great because I forget to pack laundry bags all the time. Also the feeling of packing upstairs, realizing I need to go down to get a laundry bag, and then realizing that I don't because my away bag has the laundry bag is one of the few joys I get when packing CONS - Another drawback is how fragile the suitcase itself is, but that too is not so cut and dry. It's to be expected that aluminum suitcases get banged up. The sky is blue, your aluminum suitcase goes through the trenches every time you part with it at the airport. However, I'm not sure if this just an aluminum suitcase thing in general or away's aluminum suitcase but I find that the outer material scratches very easily, and I'm not just referring to shallow scratches when light hits the suitcase a certain way. I'm talking deeper than JerryRigEverything deeper grooves benchmark. THAT BEING SAID!!! the customer service makes up for all of it. (expanded on in the PROS section) - I will say the charger is really a bit of a gimmick, and I only thought it was cool because, well, it's a gimmick. Especially now that they charge extra to get one, I'd say that it's not necessary because I found myself taking the charger out and using it more than I had it in the suitcase. Just get a designated portable battery because it's probably more energy efficient and better for your phone battery - once again, another aluminum bag drawback in general, not an away thing, but HOLY COW SHE'S HEAV Y. always fighting for my life when I travel alone 🫡 - While I do understand that it's worth the money, she's at an awkward price point between standard suitcases/luggage and Rimowa. I would say that Rimowa does slightly outshine Away, but I think she's a good mix of both. However, sometimes it feels like their pricing could use a bit of humbling. - I have the mini amenities pouch that they sold a while back on their own. I have the aluminum one to match my bags bc ofc I do, but she's a bit annoying to deal with just because of the fabric gets caught between the lids

    quip

    1) The only toothbrush I got with them broke . It just stopped working one day 2) It feel overpriced for what I'm getting, especially because I'm wary of subscriptions. It just feels like their price is at that point because they've presented their product a certain way but nothing else to really back it up. 3) Quip just doesn't compare to competitors. I went from using the phillips sonicare line to quip and then switched back because I just felt like it wasn't cleaning as well. This is purely from personal opinion and I don't have empirical evidence to back it, but I just feel like the quip toothbrush is nothing special. I will give them props for making it super simple to quit the subscription, though.

    OLAPLEX

Olaplex may cost me an entire kidney and first born child, but she's worth it. I use the bond maintenance shampoo and conditioner, No. 9 hair serum, hair oil, and dry shampoo. Everything's great, and I've learned the hard way that the hair serum and oil actually do something (I thought surely my hair would be fine for one day). The star of the show is the dry shampoo, though. I'm super super super picky about my dry shampoo and this is the first olaplex product that I can say really stands apart from their competitors. The fragrance isn't overwhelming (which is one of my biggest dry shampoo pet peeves) and volumizes hair
