  • Sleek, minimalist design
  • Compact, travel-friendly form
  • Timed, guided brushing pulses
  • Convenient refill subscription
  • Weak cleaning vibration
  • Fragile head connection
  • Hard-to-remove battery parts
  • Bristles wear or feel harsh

quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

  • I have been using quip brushes for years. I absolutely love them. To start off the design is sleek and modern. It also feels like its getting the job done just as well as those expensive toothbrush options. The starter pack also comes with a stand as well as a travel case!

  • It's a toothbrush branded as a modern DTC product. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just a toothbrush.

    Pricing is whack.

  • I’m not sure it does much more than a normal toothbrush. Also, my motor broke and now the toothbrush goes off randomly all the time which is honestly making me want to just buy a normal toothbrush. I reached out to customer service and instead of just sending me a new motor they asked for photos and proof it was broken and I honestly didn’t have time to deal with it, hence it’s still broken. I will say the bottom hasn’t tarnished though.

  • Really fun look and feel

One in every 3 shipments works poorly. Battery dead, toothbrush head not working, etc

  • Not very strong and didn’t feel like my teeth were really getting that clean… ended up changing for the generic Phillips electric toothbrush after a few months.

  • I've been a quip subscriber for over 5 years and absolutely love the product and subscription.

  • Love the concept of this toothbrush. It looks great, ravels really well, and I love that I don't have to think about when to replace the toothbrush head due to their subscription service. The only problem is on I'm on my 3rd Quip toothbrush in 3ish years now. And honestly, I'll be searching for a new option when my current one needs to be replaced. My first Quip was a plastic one, and I unfortunately snapped it when trying to get the toothbrush head off - - my fault mostly, so I upgraded to a metal version to avoid this issue in the future. Unfortunately, the 2nd Quip just stopped working out of the blue, so I again bought another one. I really want to love this toothbrush, but replacing it is starting to get old at this point. Mine also gets gross underneath the toothbrush head sometimes... like the moisture gets through.

Durability is an issue. The product isn't the most expensive thing on the market, but it definitely isn't priced to be mainstream so I shouldn't need to be replacing it so frequently. At this point I'll probably splurge for a higher end brand that I have for a while.

  • it was pretty great at first until used long-term (1+ years). The bristles were just a bit too hard for me (definitely more like a medium hardness). the actual brush body is great quality though!

    offer different bristle hardness options

  • I have been a subscriber for many years, and have enjoyed my experience very much! The gum has been a hit, and is very elevated both in its taste and dispenser.

    Feedback

The floss has a lot to make up for; it frequently breaks, and the holder, while made of good quality materials, is far too short to be used in an adult mouth.

  • We've used Quip for years now and think it's a solid choice for a toothbrush. Easily shipped refills. A little tough to keep clean. And we stopped getting the toothpaste and went back to our regular brand.

  • Great user experience and beautiful packaging, but at the end of the day it is just a vibrating tooth brush.

    Feedback

There isn't much that separated this from a standard toothbrush besides aesthetics.

  • The brush did not feel effective in brushing my teeth. I am petite and I felt that the head of the brush was small even for my mouth.

    Feedback

Offer bigger brushes and different strengths.

  • I love the Quip toothbrush! I like the size of the brush and the denseness of the bristles. It is comfortable to use and the battery lasts so long! Also great for traveling.

  • It's not really worth the hype. I got a Quip because my sister's ~fancy~ dentist gave her one for free. I like the look (it does live up to the promise of sleekness), but it's probably not *that* much better at cleaning your teeth than any other electric toothbrush.

    Feedback

After you take off the head to switch the battery once, the top is kind of loose and can fall off when you're brushing. Not a big deal; just snap it back on. But annoying.

  • I personally feel that my teeth haven't been cleaned as thoroughly since using this product. In fact, I got my first cavity after starting on Quip. Coincidence? Unsure. But I've been in the clear for over 31 years and was disappointed during my last visit to the dentist.

  • Love the sleekness of this brand but it lacks quality. I got a toothbrush for Christmas from my aunt and the battery died within a month of using it. I reached out to customer service to resolve the issue and they needed proof of purchase, which I completely understand, but it was a gift and it was also purchased through a retailer so there was nothing they could do to help me.

    Better replacement policies!

  • As a dentist I am not a big fan of Quip. After using it for a few nights, I realized that I was having more and more soft plaque accumulating on my teeth. This company needs to re-think the bristles. The item itself looks nice, but a little basic.

  • These look great, and the scheduled refills are very convenient. However, the brush itself is not great compared to other electric toothbrushes -- it just doesn't clean as well, especially along the gum-line (my dentist confirmed that these aren't as great as they seem). Furthermore, two of the ones I had broke /: Good for travel but not for every day.

  • Very sleek and easy to use. I have not tried any subscription refill service, but I think the price at retail is fair.

  • I got the refillable floss pick and am quite happy about it. It snags sometimes but I'm ok with the compromise of refillable + looks good + travel-friendly. May give their mouthwash a try someday too.
