quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

I tried out their flosser. It is a reusable flosser that you can refill with the floss that dispenses from its carry case. It’s flawed for a few reasons… the floss doesn’t stay where it should and I often have to replace it multiple times. I am not sure what the refills are made of exactly but it seems like plastic which doesn't feel super eco friendly to me....
Wasn’t my favorite.
I’ve had this toothbrush for years and absolutely love it. I’ll never use another toothbrush again. It’s so sleek and works perfectly and isn’t as loud as other electric toothbrushes and it’s so easy getting an automatic refill brush head delivered every 3 months.
I am a teeth-cleaning junkie. I have always tried the newest and most innovative toothpastes and brushes on the market. What I loved about Quip was the app that keeps track of how often and how long you have brushed your teeth.
I don't feel like my teeth were any cleaner than using a manual toothbrush while using this product. I ended up going back to a dentist recommended electric toothbrush after I had issues with properly cleaning my teeth with this product.
I love quip, but hard to take care of, always needing to buy a new one. Cap and design could be better, but will continue to buy
Feedback
I love quip, but the cap design could be better. always breaking and hard to clean.
It’s just a vibrating toothbrush. It doesn’t seem all that special and the replacements are expensive
Feedback
I think it would be better to just invest in a real electric toothbrush, this one is basically one of the single use vibrating ones you can buy at any convenience store
All in all a great product

Listen, quip is cute. It looks good, and it's pretty portable. But if you're someone who's actually buying an electric toothbrush to maintain your gum health, this is probably not your best bet. It just doesn't have half the power as the (admittedly bulkier) drug store brushes. That being said, the ordering process is very easy to navigate, so they get points back for that.

Good for travel, and not much else IMHO.
Their brushes are not goofy looking (rare), and the subscription service makes sure I actually switch out my brush every once in a while. Plus, it's super cheap.
Feedback
Not a fan of their toothpaste, though!
The power of this toothbrush was subpar, I found manually brushing my teeth to be better. I worked for an orthodontist, so I am familiar with the proper speed, force, and power needed to clean the teeth correctly, and this was not performing well.
Feedback
Improve the power of the toothbrush! The concept is fantastic, it is just lacking this one critical element.
The concept & product itself is really cool. The only problem that I had was my 6 months using it was the worst my teeth have ever been. That was the first time I’ve ever gotten negative feedback when going in for my cleaning, as I had way more buildup than normal (this should not happen brushing twice a day).
Feedback
Great idea, bad execution. A toothbrush is useless if it doesn’t actually clean your teeth. I stopped using it and used a manual toothbrush and all of my buildup went away.
Sleek design, easy delivery/subscription service.

Wish I was a dentist because it would be great to know how this electric toothpaste compares to others? It felt like it didn’t clean my teeth as much as a soniccare.
I used a quip for a while but stopped after I saw my dentist and they told me there are a ton of better electronic toothbrushes on the market and they never recommend a quip. Managing my subscription took more effort than I wanted to put in (customizing what came each shipment), but customer service was helpful. The tube the brush came in was super travel friendly. Overall, if my dentist hadn’t said anything I’d still be using it.
I have had a Quip tooth brush since 2018 and am a huge fan. It is a sleek toothbrush that travels well. It isn't too aggressive and has done a great job at keeping my teeth clean. It is very easy to use and replace the head as well as the battery. My favorite part is the subscription because I never have to think about replacing the toothbrush head or battery on my own. It is well worth the monthly subscription charge to have the convienence.
Feedback
I wish I could pause my subscription. There have been a few times that I moved or had an extra toothbrush head, but I couldn't figure out how to pause the subscription.

I liked it at first, but it’s super expensive to keep up with and my mouth didn’t feel super clean

I really like Quip in theory but the products themselves seem to always disappoint. The toothbrush is simply not powerful enough to mimic a normal electric toothbrush. You can barely feel the vibration, so it mostly feels like you're using a normal non-electric toothbrush - as opposed to the powerful, and therefore more effective, cleaning power of a normal Sonicare or Oral-B electric brush. I waited so long to see if the Quip brush could grow on me, but ultimately discarded it in favor of a "real" electric brush. I really liked the concept of the mouthwash dispenser - it seemed like a sleek piece for the bathroom counter, and a more fun/less messy way to use mouthwash every day. But then similar to the toothbrush, the actual design/function was lacking - the way the mouthwash dispenses is actually really messy (leaves a big drip running down the side of the dispenser) in a way that ruins the aesthetic and gives you extra cleaning steps every time you use it. Ultimately stopped using that too, because it was just so annoying.

I love the design of the aluminum handle.

The vibration is just not enough. Quip should release a sonic toothbrush.

I bought a couple Quip toothbrushes (one for myself, one as a gift). As someone who is used to the plug-in-to-charge electric toothbrushes, these just didn't feel like they gave me as deep of a clean as previous toothbrushes. My brush also got a bit rusty after a while.
These don't really hold up well. I have purchased two and recently stopped my subscription for replacement heads. It's hard to change the head and the space under the head gets really nasty quickly. I also don't think it works as effectively as a rotating head electric toothbrush.

Really slow shipping on replacement heads
