Reviews mention

  • Vibrant flavor variety
  • Refreshing fizzy mouthfeel
  • Lighter, cleaner ingredients
  • Eye-catching playful packaging
  • Lingering stevia aftertaste
  • Occasionally too sweet profile
  • Inconsistent soda dupes
  • Lower carbonation intensity

Poppi earns largely positive reviews as a tasty, lower-sugar soda alternative that many say curbs cravings, feels lighter on the stomach, and sometimes helps with bloating; favorites include Raspberry Rose, Orange, Ginger Lime, Doc Pop, Cherry Limeade, Classic Cola, and Root Beer. Reviews also flag weaknesses: a noticeable stevia/artificial aftertaste for some, occasional vinegary tang or sweetness that runs too high, less carbonation than expected, mixed success of cola/root beer “dupes,” and inconsistent alignment with claimed gut benefits.

  • Root beer Popi

What’s in the can that is not liquid but clumps of something?

  • My office orders these and I have been able to try a few of the flavors. I really love the strawberry one! I think they are a fun alternative to another tea or coffee in the afternoon.

  • I was skeptical about this brand. I thought it was just another Instagram cutesy brand, but it is SO good. I am now a monthly subscriber. It's the perfect carbonation & flavor profiles. My personal favorites are the Ginger Lime & Strawberry lemon. Highly recommend.

  • Wasn’t a huge fan of poppi, it was very carbonated and a bit harsh on the stomach. That’s just me lol it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Maybe it’s the flavor I tried. Maybe trying another flavor would have changed my mind :) it probably is that prebiotic with carbonation loaded

  • I think it's good. Tastes like soda, and honestly tastes like Olipop to me, just has different flavors available to choose from. I like the apple cider vinegar taste to it too. When I''m craving a soda drink, it's a good option to have. I've noticed you can find it in places like the gas station now, it's probably the only soda alternative you can find it places like that, which I am grateful for.

  • For a "healthy" soda, Poppi tastes great! I love the variety of flavors and feel like the aesthetics of the brand and their packaging is so cute! I love to have this as a little pick me up throughout the day!

  • Overall great! Some of the flavors have a very very slightly bitter/medicinal taste though. The orange is my favorite, tastes very similar to fanta and much better for you. The cherry lime one can taste a bit much.

  • I absolutely love these flavors! They have great taste without any sugar rush or artificial aftertaste. Ginger Lime and Strawberry Lemonade are probably my go to.

  • I liked poppi before but recently I’ve starting buying olipop instead. I still like poppi but I’m more particular with which flavors I like. I feel like poppi is limited on flavors, my favorite is the raspberry rose one. All the other flavors are meh.

  • Hopping on the Poppi train! This stuff is just so so good and compared to soda, it seriously takes the cake. With so many fun and innovative flavors I’m hoping classic pop will become a thing of the past

  • If you like lightly sweet and lightly carbonated drinks, this one is for you! The prebiotics make me feel good and it goes well with a snack or meal or just by itself.

  • Overall I like Poppi, it’s just a touch out of budget on what I would like to spend on a drink. Otherwise good flavors

  • Besides Olipop, Poppi was the second gut healthy soda that I remember trying on the market. Poppi is definitely great if you want some of the more fruity flavors- some of the flavors taste way too sweet for my taste, but I've definitely found a few I enjoy. At the end of the day, the Olipop cream or vanilla sodas are my jam- but Poppi is always fun to try.

  • I love prebiotic sodas!! Poppi was delicious-- I tried the cherry lime flavor; there is a nice level of carbonation as well. However, there's definitely a stevia aftertaste that can be off-putting. I also just personally like Olipop a bit better.

  • Not sure if my gut is in any better shape, but I love all the flavors. Love having a rose in a wine glass. The soda flavors are all close enough to the real thing that it really hits the spot for a soda craving

  • This is the absolute best soda. I typically don't like any soda at all, but this is amazing. I'm in love with their raspberry rose flavor, I get it every single time I see it in my grocery store. I cannot stress how much I'm in love with this drink!

  • I came across Poppi by chance at my parent's house, they purchased it for me when I was visiting because of the "prebiotic" messaging hoping it would help my known bloat, gut, and food reaction issues. I was pleasantly surprised that the bubbly beverage did calm my stomach, but was put off by some of the dual flavors (Strawberry Lemon). The packaging is playful and the founder doesn't take herself too seriously—she proudly shares the footage from when she went on Shark Tank and was name called by one of the judges, which makes her and the brand more endearing.

After trying a few flavors I landed on Ginger Lime being my favorite and ordered a 12-pack subscription through Amazon to deliver every two months. While I can't always find Poppi in certain stores consistently (H-E-B, Sprouts, Target), ordering from their website or Amazon is convenient. I recommend this beverage to anyone who likes a light flavor profile, tangy kick due to its fermented nature, and small bubble carbonation.

  • I really liked the taste of the raspberry one -- it reminded me a mamba! I have no idea if it helped my gut... but it was tasty.

  • Really pretty branding, but not a fan of the flavors. SO sweet it’s a bit overwhelming. :( feels like drinking cane sugar to me.

    Dial down the sweetness!

  • The flavors are very hit or miss, but I love the branding and appreciate that it's a bit sweeter than most better-for-you sodas.

I never noticed any effects of the prebiotics. It would be great to have there be more education around this.
