Reviews mention

  • Exceptional durability and construction
  • Lightweight warmth in jackets
  • Versatile, travel-friendly designs
  • Credible sustainability and repairs
  • Inconsistent, confusing apparel sizing
  • Occasional fleece pilling issues
  • Delicate nano puff shell fabric
  • Mixed wind and waterproof performance

Patagonia earns overwhelmingly positive reviews and proves itself a good brand: gear is exceptionally durable, warm, and versatile across activities, with standouts like the Nano Puff, Better Sweater, Synchilla fleeces, Atom Sling, and Black Hole bags. Reviews also flag drawbacks—frequent comments on high pricing, inconsistent or tricky sizing (especially women’s bottoms), occasional fleece pilling and Nano Puff snags, a few wind/waterproof performance gaps, and muted styling for some tastes—making in‑store try‑ons and product selection key.

  • I wouldn't call Patagonia a fashion-forward brand, but I absolutely love my Patagonia. I bought a Better Sweater in 2010 and it has held up so well, there's no noticeable wear on it and it still looks fantastic. It's probably the only piece in my closet that I've had since high school that I still wear every year.

  • What else are you going to wear in your Land Rover driving to park and hike ya know? It’s just what it is. It’s like hippie stuff for rich people and that’s what we are all striving for!

  • "Patagucci." If you are willing to spend the money you'll get what you paid for. Patagonia is very high quality but comes at a price. The clothing lasts and does what it's made to do. They have a great brand mission as well.

  • The price point is 100% worth it as Patagonia is always made from quality fabric. All the pieces I own have lasted years!

My favorite brand for winter layers!

  • Great quality products

I love the products but they are expensive, you get what you pay for though!!

    Friends with Patagonia
  • Worth every penny with their lifetime guarantee and high quality. Not to mention their corporate mission. My teen boys both have their backpacks and they hold up to everything they do to them!

  • I live near Park City and own a Subaru, so...I'll let you deduce from here on whether or not I like the brand. (Fine...I do).

  • I'm a big fan of all my Patagonia products. It's definitely pricier clothing items to buy, but I love to support brands that are focused on sustainability. All of the items are high quality and are pieces you can keep for years and years.

Love the brand mission and what they stand for. They're making high quality items by using sustainable methods.

  • I love Patagonia, their mission, their CEO, what they stand for, and how they're making an impact! Love their clothes and products-wish I owned more

  • Really enjoy wearing their high quality outerwear and apparel. Price point is also attractive relative to other high end outdoors retailers especially when on sale. The quality guarantee is also very good. I’ve brought in clothes that were damaged several years into ownership, and received store credit to purchase an equivalent product new. Their more everyday “activewear” oriented clothes, while nice, I find less attractive and less functional than other outdoors brands dailywear offerings (eg Arcteryx).

Better selection of daily wear clothing that leverages the tech of their outdoor clothing (make a lightweight quarter-zip!)

  • My actual top 5 favorite brands. Really great quality, I love the worn wear program they have where you you can buy used products of theirs. They also actually practice what they preach, which cannot be said for most brands.

  • Amazing mission, amazing company, great quality products.

  • Patagonia lives up to its claims when it comes to keeping you warm! It is also a company whose activism and environmentalism are highly admirable.

  • I've had my Patagonia winter puffer for yearsssssss, and it's still holding up strong thanks to their awesome repair policy. I love that they're committed to sustainability and making sure their stuff lasts.

  • I have many, many Patagonia items purchased new and used. The quality and ethos of the company is unparalleled. I choose Patagonia over other competitors for this reason.

  • Their nano puff jacket...say no more. Lightweight, but warm. It's perfect for the spring and the fall. It compacts so small, making it easy to bring on a trip without taking up too much room. Overall great brand!

  • Can I give extra stars? The nanopuff is a family favorite. This jacket will keep you comfortably warm as a solo jacket during the winter months and can be layered under larger jackets for extra warmth. As an added bonus, a great travel piece and can fold into the chest pocket and clipped on to a backpack or carry on without any bulk!

  • I’ve been eyeing the women’s coats for years and finally bought the Downdrift parka this winter. I’m so glad I did- from day 1 I knew it was the right decision! The coldest day I’ve had with it so far was around 30 degrees and it kept me warm and comfortable. It looks great as well- I have black and I know I’ll wear it for years to come. I’ve owned more expensive designer brands which kept me warm and less expensive ones that didn’t measure up to cold winters in New York. I prefer this cost to all of them because it is very comfortable, not stiff and I’ll Be able to play with my daughter in the park or on snow days wearing it. Patagonia is such a great company and I’m so glad I finally own one of their coats!

  • Title: Premium Quality, but at a Price: Patagonia Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Patagonia products undeniably come with a higher price tag, but the quality they offer makes the investment worthwhile for those seeking durable and sustainable outdoor gear. The standout feature of Patagonia items is their exceptional quality. From jackets to backpacks, every piece is meticulously crafted with attention to detail and durability. The materials used are top-notch, ensuring that the products withstand the elements and maintain their integrity over time. The investment in a Patagonia item is an investment in a piece that is built to last, making it a preferred choice for outdoor enthusiasts who demand longevity from their gear. One notable pro is how well Patagonia products wash. I have had a half zip for years that have gone through multiple washes and the colors stay vibrant, and the overall structure remains intact. This characteristic not only adds to the longevity of the product but also makes it easier to maintain and keep looking like new, even after rugged outdoor adventures. In summary, if you prioritize top-tier quality and sustainability in your outdoor gear, Patagonia is a brand that delivers. The products stand the test of time, washing well and maintaining their excellence. While the cost may be a drawback for some, those willing to make the investment will find that the quality and durability of Patagonia justify the price.

  • Love the brand, just too expensive unless an item is on sale for my personal budget. My partner has a big puffy jacket it WAS black and in the 4 years he has had it it’s turned into a very faded black. I feel like puffy material shouldn’t fade at all. Anyways buy the brand if you can afford it but don’t think the quality is really different than all the other outdoor brands.
