  • The Owlet Dream Sock is a very innovative tool to use to monitor your baby. As a first time parent, my wife and I use the dream sock every night. We utilize this sock to monitor our baby's sleeping cycle. Like every other health monitor on the market, reviews must be read and opinions taken lightly. Yes, this particular sock was on the expensive side $200-$300. With that said, I strongly believe that it was a very worthy purchase. The Dream sock monitor has provided an almost peace of mind on the health and progression of our daughter. On the sense of using this product to track the health of your child, I would let your healthcare professionals worry about that. The Dream Sock has been a very useful TOOL in providing information on how our daughter sleeps and tracks on how long she sleeps. This information allows us to provide adjustments which have proven effective since we starting using the dream sock. Even though the Owlet Dream Sock is pricey, I would recommend this product as a TOOL to help your baby sleep better.

  • I bought the Owlet Smart Sock because I was a paranoid first-time parent and I wanted to be able to sleep at night knowing that my son was breathing. The Owlet is a wearable device designed to monitor a baby's heart rate and oxygen levels. The company's marketing originally described it as a medical device, I even bought it with FSA funds, and it claimed that it could prevent SIDs. BUT- in late 2021, the FDA sent a letter warning the company that they could not be marketed as a medical device... and that's where things started to fall apart for me. My friend actually purchased the Owlet right before the FDA sent that letter, and by the time her baby was born, she essentially had a worthless $300 sock for her baby. The customer support sent her on a goose chase and basically just exhausted her until she gave up and they would not accept a return or give her any sort of refund. Additionally, the new app did not track all of the things she purchased the sock for, and they actually told her to log into my iCloud account to download the old version of the app. It was a convoluted, awkward process that just sucked a ton of time. Now that I have a second baby, the Smart Sock is completely worthless. They've rebranded and are now selling a "Dream Sock" that is for "wellness" purposes, but it just seems like a lot of hype and no follow through for something that is so expensive. I think an honest company would be more supportive to customers who reach out with the problem of a bricked product... and they would wait until they could sell something worth the money at that price point. Additionally- the sock would go off at random times, fall off with gentle infant kicking, and give false alarms. Now that I've had a second baby and didn't use the Owlet... I've slept better at night. :/

  • We just have the camera and no sock. Camera quality is great, install and set up was easy. My only issue is the app can take forever to load and often the camera goes "offline" even if the wifi is fine. It's an easy fix by just restarting the app but kind of annoying.

  • This saved us many sleepless nights! Easy to use easy to wash and the peace of mind is priceless! You do get the occasional alert because the sock may move but that gives me all the more confidence that everything is working properly. Thank you for helping these new parents get a little more sleep
