Reviews mention

  • Luxurious glass packaging aesthetics
  • Hydrating seaweed-based formulations
  • Fast-absorbing, non-greasy body oil
  • Gentle, non-stripping cleansers
  • Strong citrus-herbal fragrances
  • Inconsistent acne treatment efficacy
  • Cumbersome pumps and dispensers
  • Occasional pilling and heaviness

Osea earns strong reviews for effective, spa-like skincare—especially Undaria Algae Body Oil, Ocean Cleanser, and body butters that deliver lasting hydration, smoother texture, and a non-greasy glow—while drawbacks include often-strong citrus/herbal fragrance, occasional sensitivity or irritation, finicky pumps/glass packaging, and inconsistent results from acne treatments. Overall the brand is good for dry or sensitive-leaning skin seeking clean, seaweed-based formulas and luxe sensoriality, but fragrance tolerance and texture preferences matter.

  • I’ve used the body oil and face cleanser in the past. Super effective. Great scent that isn’t overpowering.

  • Incredible quality body lotions and oils. I use them for gifts and on myself. The scents are subtle and earthy. I use it instead of perfume.

  • Love, Love, Love their skincare. It's so luxurious and I feel so pretty after.

  • I am slowly trying to swap out all of my skincare products to a more sustainable brand. Have bee using the body oil for a few months now especially in the summer and my skin is so soft and dewy. It does have a slight scent. I just purchased the algae body butter and face wash as well. Can't wait to try the rest of the line.

  • Osea may be one of the only products with fragrance that I'm fine putting on my skin. It doesn't provide any results that make it more worthwhile than my other moisturizers. Honestly, the body butter ties with my lotion that doesn't have fragrance and the oil does not spread well or last, making the high price tag even worse. I will admit, it's one of the only fragrances I enjoy and part of that enjoyment is because it is tied to memories that are insanely dear to me. Just beware, the oil will gain black/green splotches on the bottom if not used within a year... which is easy when the $70+ bottle lasts a month and a half on full body application. Their "Salts Of The Earth Body Scrub" made my skin extra soft, but provided no exfoliation. I'd also occasionally get oversized and sharp chunks of salt in it, nicking myself. Not fun, but if you like an in-shower moisturizer this could be a good option. Smells good and looks cute on the shelf, too. If they came out with a perfume mimicking the oil's fragrance, I'd buy it up like an addict. Rather, I wish they would.

  • I’ve used the body scrub, body oil and the eye cream. I absolutely love the ingredients and packaging and osea's mission. However I found both the body oil and eye cream to be mediocre. The body scrub was fantastic but I haven’t found myself rushing out to replenish it. I personally think the body oil took a very long time to absorb and I think there are other versions on the market (cheaper too!) that are better.

  • Great clean products the price pint is a little high. I gave it a 4 star because I prefer their body products more then their face skincare line.

  • Beautiful skincare. I have issues with breaking out from skincare products, or just getting rough texture/redness. I've used the Blemish Balm and Ocean Cleanser, and both have kept my skin neutral at worst, and at best made my skin very soft and hydrated! I love the scent of both (all natural, no fragrances) and the price is definitely higher than other brands but not so much that keeps me from not purchasing it because I know it's worth the money.

  • The Osea Ocean Cleansing Mudd is so good...I find it hard to find good facial cleansers that have that cooling feeling but this is it. The frosty packaging looks and feels very nice.

  • I've only tried the Atmosphere Protection Cream but I really really like it so far! I've used it for the past week and don't have complaints about the application, packaging, or scent. I think the packaging is so cute and minimal, the pump is nice, but I'm afraid I wont get every last drop of product at the end. One little thing as well is this is thinner than I thought for a "cream" but still very moisturizing.

  • I’ve tried their body polish. It’s nice and soothing but the smell is vaguely playdoh-esque

  • I love Osea's hyaluronic acid serum. It is superior to any other hyaluronic serum that I have tried. It is pricey, so I pick and choose when to purchase it. My aesthetician can see a difference in my skin's hydration when using it instead of the cheaper Ordinary serum. If you can afford the serum, I would recommend it. I tried the Ocean Cleansing Mud and the Blemish Balm to correct minor breakouts. It was too harsh for my skin. I returned it. It might be fine for someone who is dealing with frequent blemishes. It just was too much for my middle-aged skin right now.

  • Holy Grail for my body care. I have eczema-prone, sensitive skin. I've tried all the classic brands the dermatologist will recommend. The body oil has a great texture and keep my skin happy in the dry heat of where I live. I put it on right after the shower. I not only no longer have red, dry, itchy patches, but my skin glows. It says moisturized all day. It has a gentle botanical smell. It is a splurge but a little goes a long way and lasts for a long time.

  • Tried the balm and the oil. Not sure which I prefer. Both were very thick and hydrating. The smell is herbal think lavender clary sage. I really liked the smell and it works great in winter. Probably too greasy for summer months. The smaller bottles last forever.

  • Obsessed with this brand, it just really works well for my mostly dry skin. Their products are seaweed based, which I had an inkling might be beneficial for me after my skin looked amazing after spending a week on a boat with no showers save for jumping in the ocean. Specifically, the ocean milk cleanser is my holy grail cleanser - I haven't switched to another one since I started using it ~2 years ago. I've also tried all their face moisturizers (and swap around which one I use, depending on the season - e..g using the atmosphere cream during the summer and swapping to heavier seabiotic during the winder), as well as their body butter, which feels like an absolute luxury. The price of this brand is definitely on the higher side, but it's worth it to me for the benefits (my face has never looked or felt better/more hydrated) and the investment I choose to make in my skin.

  • I wish I could give this brand more stars. I have switched to all clean products the past few years and the first time I tried Osea I haven't looked back. I use their cleansers, body oil, serums, moisturizers and more. You name it, I probably have it! Everyone should try Osea and I couldn't recommend it more!

  • I absolutely love the Osea Body Oil. I wish it wasn't so pricey because it is great on my dry skin and it also absorbs quickly so you aren't sticky like other oils

Price could be less or offer cheaper refills

  • I have loved all of the products I have used by Osea. I’ve made an overhaul of my beauty products and am so happy with the results! Evening skin care and body moisturizers are all incredible.

  • I have used the ocean cleanser several times over the years. The packaging is glass and minimal. It’s gorgeous. It is very gentle and feels luxurious when you use it. It’s not foaming in case that’s something you like in your cleansers. It’s cooling as well which I love. It is made with essential oils so the fragrance can be strong for some but it does smell good. They also have a recycling program through Terracycle which is a great plus!
