On Running earns polarized reviews: many say the shoes are comfortable, lightweight, and cushioned enough for walking, everyday wear, and even long races, while others report inconsistent support for running, half‑size‑small fits, and durability issues like heel and mesh tearing. Reviews praise styles like Cloud 5, Cloudmonster, Cloudrunner, and The Roger for sleek looks and versatile comfort, but flag pebble‑catching soles, flimsy or fussy laces, traction concerns on wet metal, and widely criticized customer service.

10/10 love my Ons. They are perfect for me bc I need a bigger toe box. Like converse, so ouchie. I got my first pair about 9 months ago and I wear them alllll the time, for everyday wear, walks, and working out and they have held up so well. Do your feet a favor and buy a pair.

I own two pairs of ON shoes (Cloudwander & Cloud 5). They’re among the most immediately comfortable shoes I’ve ever put on. One complaint: the laces are the worst. I’ve owned a lot of shoes in my lifetime and put them through the same wear & tear, but I’ve never experienced laces that snap so easily. The laces have easily snapped 5-7 times per pair. Hugely frustrating. As a result, I’ve had to re-tie the snapped ends over and over to keep the laces functional. When I contacted ON about replacement laces, they said they don’t provide them. At this price point, ON should offer better-quality, longer-lasting laces.

I purchased a pair of waterproof ON shoes in March. They are comfortable and keep me dry. The problem is they don't last long for the price. Wrote to ON through my account and was told they'd be in touch as the heel is detaching from the shoe. Bearing in mind I have 4 pairs so they are changed about regularly. Disappointed with customer service no responding via my account and the fact that they are coming apart. Had Saucauny for years still going strong.

I bought a pair of ON before a trip to Japan, We walk on average 10 kilometers a day. After a few days, the mesh on the front part of one shoe started to tear and I ended up with a hole in the front of my shoe. I was very disappointed as I own other running shoes and this never happened. I contacted ON where I bought the shoes and received the answer that this was not something covered by the warranty and besides giving me a small discount on another pair there was nothing they could do. Well, I won't buy ON shoes anymore!

Really terrible material lack of quality and service as well. Costumer service is just unbearable. My shoes claudstrater 3 is losing the sole. The glue is coming out. When I am walking the sole is coming out. Important to point that I have the shoes only for less than 3 months. Okay so, look I will have to add here that the costumer service rapidly answer me and I am very glad with the answer. They said that was I mistake from the factory the problem in my shoes.

the shoes have lost a lot of quality compared to the beginning. They are not like before. They look like a Chinese product, all plastic. They fall off after one month, lose shape. Too Bad.

They are really comfortable and all in all very nice to wear but the quality is bad. (Which is surprising as they are Swiss) Mine got holes in the fabric on both sides where he little toe is, after 3 months of wearing and I have 2 friends who had the same problem after wearing them. Hopefully they can fix that, as it is a very expensive shoe ! And should not just get holes that easily ..

>$500 spent this month, I don’t have one pair of shoes that aren’t defective. I know this sounds like an exaggeration, but On is truly the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR PRODUCTS. I have spent 4 hours on the phone with them over the last few days, continued to spend more money to fix their mistakes, and they insist on me spending even more. They have the ability to rectify the situation yet refuse to. For context, it’s hard for me to find shoes. I’m a men’s US size 8(7.5 for many other manufacturers) which many companies don’t produce and almost no retailers stock. I’m going to the mountains of Colombia for 5 months and just needed shoes that fit, don’t hurt, are waterproof and durable, and look nice. I received the cloud 5 waterproofs on jun8 and thought they checked all the boxes. I wore them for a week only in the house to ensure proper fit. The rubber soles were falling off within the month. On ensured to me I just happened to get a defective pair. I shouldn’t have, but I trusted them and bought two different replacement pair at a 20% discount with complimentary Priority Shipping. I asked if I needed to select and pay for Priority Shipping(and expect a refund for the shipping) when completing the checkout and was assured by On that I only needed to select Standard Shipping and it would get upgraded in the system once places. This was completely made up and wrong. The replacement pairs are not arriving on time, and the only shoes I have to go to Colombia with are the defective ones. Instead of upgrading the shipping, or adjusting the delivery to come to me in Colombia, or even offering me store credit to use the only pair I have, they offered me another discount code at 50%. So not only have I already had to spend more money, I have to pay ridiculous shipping costs to have family send me the replacement pairs. The shoes I would have liked to return today(which they will be throwing away once returned), are the only pair I have and they won’t even offer me store credit to just keep them so I have some to wear. They claim they cannot issue partial refunds or not make a purchase adjustment to the $340 worth of shoes that I ordered to fix their initial mistake, which also won’t get here in time, causing me to spend more money to receive them internationally. They can issue full refunds though! They had many options to at least somewhat rectify the situation but continue to refuse to. I’ll be getting all of my over $500 in shoes back and will never use their products again. $1.2 BILLION dollars in sales in 2022 and they refuse to fix their mistakes. They can’t even hold up their side of the deals they agreed to, whatsoever. I can’t put it anymore plainly, they admit all their mistakes, but refuse to assist when they absolutely have the ability to. DO.NOT.SHOP.HERE.

I made an order 22.06.2023, and paid 25 euros for the express delivery by June 23!!! But it’s not yet shipped!! I’ve tried to contact them, but nobody answer me!! Awful service!!

Absolute rubbish! I got a pair of On Cloudswift after only a few months of minor wear the shoelace ripped through the shoelace hole rendering them useless, obviously a design fault. I tried contacting support and never heard back. Definitely would NOT recommend!

Comfortable BUT big question about the quality: mines did not last a year, used casualy, hole appearing now. So dissapointed!

Terrible experience with those shoes. I bought 2 pairs, one with a black sole and one with a white sole. A few months later, some holes were opened where the big toe touches. I wrote to the factory and they told me it was a problem with my foot. then I visited several stores and they told me that it is a manufacturing defect, which has happened to many customers and the factory does not respond. It's a real shame, since I liked the model a lot.

The cloud running shoe is the best running shoe and provides your feet with the most comfort, support, and protection.

Really comfortable shoes. I’ve only had a pair for a couple weeks but I’m very happy so far.

It is the second pair that is getting broken on the side

I like but don't love these. They're a little too structured for me? And the laces are kinda too thin -- they're really hard to untie if you've gotten tangled. They are cute though, I do love how they look.

I was so excited to try these shoes for running, but oh boy did they give me arch pain. To be fair I have high arches, but would absolutely not recommend for people with high arches for running. They look cool though and are good for walking.

In terms of all-day on-your-feet comfort, it's hard to beat On Running. I wear 'em walking, running, golfing (always walk the course), and any time I know I'm "getting my steps" in. I've worn through two pair now, but only because I'm putting lots of miles on them -- not because shoddy construction. If I'm being picky, they need to add more colors and designs to the catalogue, and I brought a brand-new-in-the-box pair into a On Running shop and the manager was pretty rude and didn't let me return either. (Bad service.) But I'm not holding that against the 5-Star Review, cause the foot comfort-level is best in class.

I bought a pair of ON running shoes from their Regent Street store in London on June 8th, expecting top-tier performance given the premium price. Unfortunately, the shoes turned out to be extremely uncomfortable – after a single run, I experienced serious pain in my legs and back. Hoping to resolve this, I cleaned them and returned to the store on June 22nd, expecting a refund or exchange. The store refused to accept the return and told me to call customer service, assuring me they'd help. I called on the spot, and customer service confirmed that they could process the return, and asked me to send photos and details via email. I did exactly that within an hour, but that’s where the nightmare began. I didn’t receive any reply for days, so I followed up – multiple times. I called again and was told someone would respond soon. Still nothing. I sent additional emails on June 23, June 26, and July 2 with no response whatsoever. Finally, on July 8th, after nearly two weeks of being ignored, they asked for my name and address AGAIN – information I had already provided. After several more emails, they eventually refused the return, claiming the shoes had been used too many times — even though I had told them from the very beginning that I had only used them once before the first contact, and they said the return would still be accepted. They offered me a 10% discount code as compensation – an insult, frankly, considering the time, effort, and patience I gave them. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Disorganized, unresponsive, and completely unreliable. They made empty promises over the phone, ignored emails, failed to follow through, and then tried to change the rules at the end. Avoid ON at all costs. The shoes didn’t live up to the hype, and their customer service is absolutely shameful. Save yourself the headache — there are far better and more supportive brands out there that actually stand behind their products and treat their customers with respect.
There was ALOT of hype around this shoe this year... especially the Cloud running shoe. From the outside, it is a stunning shoe and looks to be comfortable... but they are not for me. They are SO light that it's almost too light. It doesn't feel very cushioned or supportive, but almost like there's nothing there... and personally for me I don't like that!
