OLAPLEX earns polarized reviews: it visibly strengthens and revives bleached or damaged hair—No. 3 Hair Perfector, No. 6 Bond Smoother, No. 7 Bonding Oil, and the 4P Purple Shampoo are frequent standouts—yet many users report dryness, heaviness, or even increased shedding and brittleness if overused. The brand is praised for salon-clean scent, rich lather, and fast toning, but criticized for inconsistent results across hair types and small, hard-to-dispense bottles.

Feels great on my hair, but a little too expensive to consistently use

No. 3 is loved for a good reason!

The bonding oil has done wonders for my long fine hair! It does a great job strengthening each strand preventing breakage and split ends.

Olaplex is fine, but definitely not worth the money for me personally. I have a relatively low-maintenance hair care routine, and this doesn't really have a spot in that. I can totally see how it works better perhaps for people with color-treated hair!
While Olaplex has been successful for some, I find the hair oil and bond to make my thick hair feel greasy and to weigh it down.
Good product!
I didn’t like the way my hair felt after using the shampoo. It left it feeling greasy and thick in a bad way. For the price I paid it wasn’t worth it.
I really love the items from olaplesx the hair oil is my favorite - a little is needed to help with the dryness of my hair.
I have tried three of the Olaplex products. I consistently like using the leave in cream. It keeps my highlighted hair hydrated and helps style my curls. Small bottle for the price though.
great quality and noticed a difference instantly! i have fine hair that gets tangled so easily and this made my hair so much more manageable. it is pretty fragranced which i think smells great but could see it’s not for everyone
Some of Olaplex's products have been great for my hair but it is very expensive. I usually try to wait for their holiday sets before stocking up on them. I also wish they didn't have 2-3 products that had similar effects to make my hair routine a bit more seamless.

I liked Olaplex products at first, but found that over time I didn't feel like they were working very well and maybe this was just due to my hair type. I also found the hair oil to not absorb very well into my hair and just felt like it was sitting on my hair rather than doing much. Maybe these products work better on someone with a different hair type!
I've tried the full range of Olaplex products, and found that they're not all created equal. The Number 6 smoothing creme and the Number 7 hair oil are my personal favorites for my dry, wavy hair. I found that the shampoo and conditioner were fine, but didn't notice a significant enough benefit for the price.
Had good results and less breakage when mixed with color in the salon.

Back in the day Olaplex has the IT girl, very high tech and new with its bond building technology. However, now there are more innovative products on the market and some of them offer the same thing as olaplex with a cheaper price tag. I have used the shampoo and conditioner and it really did nothing for my super dead bleached blonde hair. I do like the No3 and No8 masks though, but I would not repurchase because I like cheaper hair masks like the EVA NYC one or an amika one
Generally works as advertised. It’s my “base layer” on taming my grey hair and its shitty texture. (Another leave in mask and then a little heat protectant spray and she abides, mostly)
good
Form the smell to the feel of my hair after using the shampoo and conditioner, i love this brand. Now that i no longer color or bleach my hair, i use it far less frequently. However, i still use the oil because i like the feel of my hair, the glossiness, and lack of buildup that happens after repeated use.
A little goes a long way with Olaplex’s products. I’ve tried their shampoo, conditioner, and hair oil. When I first used the shampoo I was shocked by how little it took to create a full lather for all of my hair - compared to typical drugstore shampoos that I’ve used in the past, I’d say a quarter of the amount does the trick.
I used Olaplex shampoo for a while- it lathers really well, smells nice and your hair is left with that 'just left the salon' feel. I started to notice over time it totally changed the texture of my hair from wavy to very straight with little volume. Stopped using it for that reason, but my Mom really likes it.
