Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

great tasting oat milk but a lot of additives compared to other options. love their branding and sustainable packaging.
I love Oatly products. I typically purchase the barista blends since they tend to froth best. Can’t wait to see if they have any more options come out in the future!

While their products taste good, Oatly packs their products with additives and chemicals. Definitely many better options.
I enjoy the taste and use it in my coffee
Yeppp, it's flipping gorgeous! My fav spot in Ottawa uses this!!!! Yummmm!

It’s one of the smoothest and flavorful oat milks I’ve ever had.
I used to really like this brand when it was more natural. After it got acquired, I don't know what they did to the formula. I was a frequent customer of Oatly, but I noticed a change in flavor and my stomach started getting very irritated. I stopped taking it and felt much better. There are healthier and cleaner Oatmilk companies out there now, do your research.
Disgusting. What else can I say?

Good taste without the dairy. Use it often for smoothies, cereal.

I tried to oat milk totally by chance in the summer of 2020. As a latte lover I had not considered using or trying any milk alternatives until I didn’t have a choice during a beach trip as the coffee cart had run out of all milk except oat. I loved it! Since then I have switched to using oat milk rather than cows milk. My favourite Oatly product is the vanilla oat milk. It makes THE best lattes. The chocolate oat milk is an occasional treat enjoyed with cornflakes - yummy!! Love Oatly as a brand & think they make great high quality products. Highly recommended.
Love this milk for lattes, it doesn’t compare to any other oat milk when using for coffee.
Buy it for my home. My best coffeeshop uses it too.

Stays creamy which makes it taste better than other brands.
Oatly has the best flavor and texture of the oat milks for coffee/barista use. As a former espresso bar owner, we tried many and Oatly always produced the best results. It is just a shame it comes at the expense of actual health benefits. For coffee, great. For other uses, find a healthier alternative or make your own.
This milk alternative has a good creaminess but it’s due to the oils and gums in it. Not for me.

Would not buy again
The packaging is fun and I always go for this one if my preferred brand is unavailable.
I have tried this product and I love it. The feast was really good in my coffee
In my opinion the best milk alternative on the market to use with coffee and baked goods.

a good oat milk. But has too many additives
Solid milk alt if you don’t read nutrient labels! If you do, it’s basically homogenised vegetable oil in oat water. ‘Low erucic acid rapeseed’ that’s just… canola oil. “Rapeseed oil is used for industrial and culinary purposes. To be called canola oil, it must have a lower erucic acid content and meet international standards”
Feedback
Actual rapeseed oil has a beneficial omegas ratio. But low erucic is just veg oil. They don’t disclose how low so that’s reason to be suspicious imo. Skip it.
I love oatly as a dairy alternative. I always get the full fat option and it is super yummy and creamy. It works well with a frother to make yummy lattes for my coffee too.
