  • Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel
  • Reliable, barista-grade frothing
  • Smooth, neutral oat flavor
  • Versatile, beverage performance
  • Additive-heavy ingredient list
  • Seed oil, rapeseed inclusion
  • Occasional digestive discomfort
  • Sometimes overly sweet taste

Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

  • When you need a little treat coffee, like the one at the end of the day after you got it in, it has to be oatly. If they bring out something different at the coffee shop you gotta leave bro omg. That isn't the spot anymore. This is the only acceptable oat milk everything else is big garbage, sorry.

  • Oatmilk hasn't been my top choice but I will say that I really like the taste of Oatly in coffee! It's also packaged in a really cute container so it was hard to say no when I went to try it! This review is on the barista or original milk only :)

  • If you are looking for the best tasting oat milk, you should choose Oatly. But, if you are looking for the healthiest oat milk with the best ingredients, you should look else where.

  • we love oatly here. when reaching for an alternative to milk that I can trust the quality, and taste. I can always grab this. Never disappointed.

  • Hands down one of my FAVORITE brands for Oatmilk! It has no gritty texture, smooth taste and works great with cereals and coffee! My favorite is their fat free version only because it doesn’t contain any gums or oils. It’s silky enough for coffee, without tasting like just “oat water”. Plus it froths well for hot coffee!

  • I am a coffee enthusiast and I also have my own coffee cart @pourvida_coffee. I always use oatly with my drinks. There’s just something smooth and different about it.

  • Keep coming back to Oatly again and again after trying new not-milks on the market every now and then. The best all-rounder for me.

  • Organic protein drinks really good for your vegan body. I have bought this drink many times. Just wish they drop pricing for more purchase. Good experience!

    Bought 3 times.

  • My favorite is the regular Oatly. My husband is lactose intolerant and gluten free - so this allows us to enjoy our coffee and teas without the side effects. The regular foams well, but it's difficult to make foam art with it. It tastes very mild and lightly sweet, so it doesn't overwhelm the drink you're making. I also use it to make chai tea and tumeric lattes.

The full fat one has a smell that I don't like, especially when the milk is in the frother. And the light one is too watery for me.

  • I first tried Oatly in Norway back in early 2019 and I'm glad oat milk and Oatly has made its way to the US! It's great in my coffee and baked goods.

  • I love oatly especially the barista one! It is way smoother then the original oatly. Some people think it tastes the same and it’s just more expensive but do not listen to them, it is different and way smoother!

  • Creamy, delicious oatmilk that mixes well in coffee too!

This oatmilk is one of my favorite. Great creamy flavor

  • This is one of the best oat milks that I've tried. The vanilla flavour is good and not overly sweet. The Barista edition is great for making tea lattes and doesn't burn when frothing. I also love the fun branding on the packaging and that they release limited edition flavours every once and a while.

I don't love that there is oil included in the ingredients since that's not particularly good for you. However, this is almost impossible to avoid in pre-made oat beverages.

  • Used to be a huge Oatly stan, these days I don't really prefer oat milk, but will still occasionally get it at a coffee shop when the barista is there to help steam the milk in coffee.

  • It tastes so good especially in coffee, great earthy flavor. However, there’s some questionable ingredients that I’d worry about drinking all the time.

    Simple and Whole ingredients.

  • Creamy! So used to the watery disappointment of other creamers, like almond milk. This is thick and creamy and tastes like it should be unhealthy, but it’s not. Love it in my tea.

  • Oatly is by far the best milk alternative I have tasted yet. I find it smooth and creamy like milk although is a little thicker than I would like. It is definitely better than almond milk which I find watery.

  • Excellent product that has innovated the alternative milk space. Trying Oatly has made oat milk my go to milk alternative. Would love to see a lower sugar option or options that combine with coconut milk (eg Califa Milk+Almond). Their oat milk frozen dessert is also great. My favorite non dairy ice cream!
