Reviews mention

  • Refined, natural-leaning fragrances
  • Gentle, sensitive-skin formulas
  • Smooth, comfortable application
  • Attractive, sustainable packaging
  • Inconsistent odor protection longevity
  • White residue and shirt staining
  • Occasional gritty, sticky texture
  • Body wash sometimes feels drying

Native earns praise for clean ingredients, standout scents (Coconut & Vanilla, Cucumber & Mint, Lilac & White Tea, Citrus & Herbal Musk) and comfortable, non-irritating wear for many, but reviews say performance is inconsistent: the deodorant often fades by midday, struggles in heat/workouts, can leave white residue or shirt stains, and some experience rashes or gritty texture. Reviews of body wash and hair care skew positive for gentle lather and pleasant aromas, though a few find body wash drying and shampoos underwhelming. Overall, Native is a good natural option if you don’t sweat heavily and will reapply; heavy sweaters may need stronger protection.

  • I have used a couple of Native deodorants. Their scents are great and it doesn't make my armpits darker. However, the scent doesn't last. Especially in the summer heat.

    Feedback

    Needs a stronger formula

  • Native has some nice scents but is overall ineffective. I didn't feel like I was getting real underarm protection, but the mission behind the brand is nice. The body was was also too drying for my skin.

    Feedback

Improve the body wash formula Reduce plastic used

  • The scent options are great, and they all smell refreshing and/or clean. However, the wear time is pretty short. This probably isn't the natural deodorant brand I would recommend to others. Overall, it was an okay experience.

    Feedback

The wear time needs improvement. Also, this deodorant leaves weird, white crumbles in my underarms.

  • My sister swears by these, but they did not work for me. They have some decent scents, but they are definitely not an anti-perspirant. As a nervous sweater, I found that I'd have full-on sweat beads going down my armpits with this. I noticed that I would get slightly stinky by the end of the day and I also noticed more yellow armpit stains. I ended up switching back to my trusty Secret deodorant.

    Feedback

I would consider using these if they had an anti-perspirant ingredient.

  • Did not work for my skin, clumped up and looked gross if I was wearing anything sleevless. Didn't last long.

  • I love how eco-friendly and natural this deodorant is. No animal testing, no plastic packaging, but as a person who extensively works out; it’s not that strong of a deodorant. My only problem is that it should be stronger smelling.

  • I like the concept of this brand. I want to love these products so badly, and I have tried multiple times but they just do not work for me. "Clean" products will just never work as well as some other drug store staples, so you have to pick your battles. I love the name, I love the clean packaging and I will continue to try their new product launches. Interested to see what they do in the future.

More education on how traditional, chemically infused products compare to native and why consumers should make the switch. I know why their products are good, but why are they *better* than the alternative.

  • Doesn't work. Says it does. But doesn't. It's ok though - most natural deodorants don't!

Look into brands like Lume - what they do.

  • The only natural deodorant that I've tried that doesn't irritate my skin. Love the packaging, scent, and formula. So glad to finally find something that works!

  • Native is an amazing product. Our whole family has switched to this deodorant. The only thing I did not like was the tube they use for the eco friendly packaging. I love that it is an option but the tube was so hard to use and there was so much wasted product at the end.

    Feedback

    Better ecofriendly packaging.

  • I really like Native, it's been my go-to deodorant for the past few years. I used to order it, but my local grocery store just started carrying it, which is great, however, they don't carry the unscented or sensitive, which I prefer. I rub it in after applying so it doesn't leave marks on my clothes and it doesn't stain my garments, either.

    Feedback

I've noticed some scents don't work as well for me as others. I also hope the price point drops eventually because my partner and I blow through deodorant.

  • Clumpy, expensive, and darkens my armpits. Wasn't a very big fan but maybe I'm just allergic to the ingredients.

  • I’m updating my previous review as I tried this product again (the aluminum free version) and really like it. The first time I bought it I think it was defective because it was very clumpy and crumbly (maybe got too dry?). Anyways, I can recommend it now that I have had a better experience! They also have nice smells too.

  • Native products are good; the body wash and the cream are great. However, the deodorant does not work. At most, it makes you smell good for a little while, but once you start any type of sweat, it is over. I would suggest any of the body products from them, except the deodorant. Haven't tried the shampoo but I have curly hair so I most likely won't

  • I’ve tried a few of Native’s products and had mixed feelings. The deodorant, shampoo, and conditioner didn’t really work for me—I didn’t love the formulas or how they felt. That said, the body wash was totally fine! I appreciated that it’s a clean product with simple ingredients, and the price point is pretty reasonable. I like what the brand stands for, even if not everything has been a hit for me personally.

  • Didn’t love this one. I liked the idea of getting away from harmful chemicals in my deodorant but this one made me smell horrible and I’d frankly just use regular deodorant.

  • I love Native because their products are great for my sensitive skin and their natural ingredients leave me feeling healthy and clean after using their products. I love their deodorant and body washes!

  • Love the deodorant. I allergic to most deodorants but this brand works well for me. They have multiple scents and all of them are pleasant. The scents are light and not too strong, I think that’s worth mentioning for those with sensitive noses.

  • I tested natives sugar cookie deodorant. It smelt amazing but it’s not potent when it comes to fighting against sweat and body odor .

  • so expensive but their products smell amazing, especially a fan of their deodorant and body washes and I don't think I've tried anything else yet
