Native earns mixed-to-positive reviews: its deodorants and body washes smell exceptional and many users say they work for everyday wear, while others report short wear time, residue, and staining. Reviews praise clean-feeling formulas, sensitive-skin options, and standout scents like Coconut & Vanilla, Eucalyptus & Mint, and Citrus & Herbal Musk, but note inconsistent odor control in heat/workouts, occasional rashes or grit, and cardboard-packaging ergonomics.

I like the deodorant and the body wash. Great smells and packaging
I had been looking for a natural deodorant and my wife suggested checking out Native. Right off the bat, I liked the simplicity in the packaging and branding, and I really liked the scents. I used Native deodorant for around 6 weeks. While it smelled great when applied, I found that it didn't keep me smelling very fresh throughout the day. To be fair, I'm a hirsute, and usually-bearded guy, who walks 3-5 miles a day with the dog, and can get a little sweaty. Still, in my mind, a good deodorant should mitigate my natural must over the course of a normal day, or it's just not for me. In the case of Native, it just didn't cut it. On top of that, I did experience some skin irritation and some of my shirts had a really unpleasant smell after washing them (when I stopped using Native, the smell went away). Skin and body care is really dependent on the person and unfortunately, Native wasn't for me.

I don't know what led to the skin reaction that I had, but I don't get it from the Dr. Squatch deodorant that I'm now using. Not sure if I'm the only one that experienced that, but that would be a major improvement. The clothes smell was another thing. It drove me absolutely bonkers. I'd put on a shirt fresh from the laundry and there was this pungent smell coming from the armpits. Was it an interaction between Native and the detergent I use? Maybe. But whatever it was, it was bad, and again, not an issue with the deodorant that I'm using now.
I've tried many natural deodorants and native is just okay. Great scents but the texture isn't my favorite.

I was looking for a more natural deodorant and was able to find Native at some local shops. The branding was simple and minimal, which I think fits on a deodorant. I was a bit overwhelmed with all the scent choices but I also love that they have so much variety. The cucumber and mint smells fresh and clean. It's fun that they offer limited edition scents but I also feel this can create some FOMO or disappointment if your favorite scent is seasonal. It worked well enough for me but I'm not a heavy sweater. I see they also have a plastic free option, which is amazing! I hope to try this next.

Smells amazing and works as well as I could expect natural deodorant to work. Of course, I need to reapply, especially in the hot summer months, but the smell is great and the quality is super smooth on sensitive skin. Does it stop sweating altogether? No—but I don't think it's fair to assume a natural deodorant brand would accomplish the same thing as a chemical-y, toxic antiperspirant. In the cost/benefit analysis, Native always wins.

In a dream world, I wouldn't need to reapply from the deodorizing standpoint!
First of all, Native has the best scents for body wash and deodorant. Unfortunately, that's kind of where the positives end for me. The deodorant worked well for a little bit but it ultimately didn't hold up through a mild day or a sweaty workout. It got really clumpy and just pilled itself off of my skin and it also darkened my pits considerably and it took forever to get them back to normal. I really wanted to like it, but it just isn't for me.
Their deodorant feels nice at first, but I could still feel myself sweating on a hot day. I like that the packaging is very simple. The deodorant goes on smoothly and doesn't feel like you're icing a cake. I would probably buy this if I saw it in a store if only to try it out. However, it's not my go-to option.
This gave me rashes. Contains baking soda, which may have been the culprit. Couldn't finish.

I don't know what's up with their shower gels, but their bottles mold super easy and the smells never are exactly what you think of when you get the product. The candy cane smells more like lemon oil, and the coffee smells like the floor of a Starbucks in NYC
Feedback
Lean more into the natural scents and less on the artificial ones where you will fail.
Not my favorite deodorant and doesn't feel all that different to me

I think about effectiveness being better that would make me want to use it all the time.
I found this on the clearance bin at my local Kroger and decided to try it out. The smell is great, the formula is nice on the skin but the protection isn't the longest lasting.
Feedback
Longer lasting protection from stinky pits!
I've used this deodorant for over 3 years now and I absolutely love it. I try a lot of natural deodorants but I always come back to this one. I also really like that they do seasonal scents, my favorite is the pumpkin spice latte!
Feedback
The only thing that I think could be improved is the longevity, sometimes I have to reapply during the day.
Native deodorant works really well and has tons of great and fun scents.

So expensive! Especially the sensitive skin versions. Too much plastic to continue using.
I have used a couple of Native deodorants. Their scents are great and it doesn't make my armpits darker. However, the scent doesn't last. Especially in the summer heat.

Needs a stronger formula
Native has some nice scents but is overall ineffective. I didn't feel like I was getting real underarm protection, but the mission behind the brand is nice. The body was was also too drying for my skin.

Improve the body wash formula Reduce plastic used
The scent options are great, and they all smell refreshing and/or clean. However, the wear time is pretty short. This probably isn't the natural deodorant brand I would recommend to others. Overall, it was an okay experience.
Feedback
The wear time needs improvement. Also, this deodorant leaves weird, white crumbles in my underarms.
My sister swears by these, but they did not work for me. They have some decent scents, but they are definitely not an anti-perspirant. As a nervous sweater, I found that I'd have full-on sweat beads going down my armpits with this. I noticed that I would get slightly stinky by the end of the day and I also noticed more yellow armpit stains. I ended up switching back to my trusty Secret deodorant.
Feedback
I would consider using these if they had an anti-perspirant ingredient.

Did not work for my skin, clumped up and looked gross if I was wearing anything sleevless. Didn't last long.

I love how eco-friendly and natural this deodorant is. No animal testing, no plastic packaging, but as a person who extensively works out; it’s not that strong of a deodorant. My only problem is that it should be stronger smelling.
I like the concept of this brand. I want to love these products so badly, and I have tried multiple times but they just do not work for me. "Clean" products will just never work as well as some other drug store staples, so you have to pick your battles. I love the name, I love the clean packaging and I will continue to try their new product launches. Interested to see what they do in the future.

More education on how traditional, chemically infused products compare to native and why consumers should make the switch. I know why their products are good, but why are they *better* than the alternative.
