MERIT earns strong reviews as a minimalist makeup brand that delivers natural, dewy, skin-like results with elegant packaging and foolproof, blendable formulas—especially standouts like the Flush Balm blush, Minimalist Complexion Stick, Bronze Balm, Day Glow, and Shade Slick lip oil. Reviews also flag weaknesses: sheer color and shorter wear, products emphasizing dryness or texture on some skin types, inconsistent shade range for fair and deeper undertones, packaging quirks (sticks breaking, messy pumps), and a mascara that reads too subtle for some.

The blushes are lovely - definitely a fave. I really liked the color of the Solo Shadow I purchased, but it dried out very quickly and became unusable. I’ve purchased two of the Shade Slick lip oils but they didn’t wear well - poor color payoff and rubs off quick.

I bought the CAVA highlighter, Clean lash mascara, and applicator brush, and I couldn't be happier with Merit joining my Make Up Routine! Their website is great, and their retail displays make me want to buy the entire collection at Sephora. I love that the products are fragrance-free, and the mascara, absolutely amazing. After trying it, I can’t see myself using any other brand. It’s inclusive, feels great on the skin, and just works!"

All merit products are perfect to get that no-makeup makeup look. My personal favourite is the minimalist perfecting stick in the shade cream. It offers the best coverage while looking like natural skin! - I am wearing the perfecting stick in the photo attached.

One of my favourite clean makeup brands in terms of pigmentation and wear! These products layer really nice, are super blendable and are very long lasting. Super luxe formulas - but a little pricey for the sizes! Wish they came with more product <3

Tried the Clean Lash and loved it - made my lashes super long, clean formula and didn't flake. Overall, the minimalist branding and products feel like an elevated, grown-up version of Glossier. Update: The Flush Balm is my go-to blush! Layerable and gives you that beautiful dewy flush. Just set it with a spray to minimize fading throughout the day.

The packaging was beautiful, but it was pretty easy for the mascara to get onto the twisty part of the tube and that would make it a little sticky to uncap.

MERIT’s Signature Lipstick is everything I want in a lip product—minimalist, luxurious, and so comfortable to wear. The formula is incredibly lightweight and hydrating, with a soft satin finish that gives just the right amount of polish without ever feeling heavy or sticky. It glides on effortlessly and wears beautifully throughout the day. The shades are stunning—elegant, wearable, and thoughtfully curated. I especially love how they flatter a range of skin tones and look equally beautiful for everyday or dressed-up moments. Bonus points for the sleek, weighty packaging that feels as high-end as it looks. If you’re into clean beauty and love a natural, refined look, MERIT’s lipstick is a must-have. It’s quickly become my go-to for that perfect “my lips but better” vibe. Can’t recommend it enough!

I've been absolutely loving my experience with Merit products. Their Bronze Balm has truly simplified contouring for me. It's effortless and beginner-friendly, thanks to their clear and simple tutorial content (which is how I got hooked). I appreciate how sheer and buildable the product is, allowing me to easily customize my look. I also adore their Day Glow. It provides the perfect natural sheen that adds a healthy, radiant glow without feeling heavy. I've applied it first when I want a natural look with only concealer and a little sheen, as well as after I've done my face routine for that final cherry on top glimmer. The Shade Slick lip oil is another favorite. I discovered that a woman on a TV show was wearing it during her interviews, and I needed to try it for myself. It looks great paired with a bit of lip liner and gives my lips a beautiful, glossy finish that feels comfortable and not at all sticky. Overall, I find Merit’s products to be of exceptional quality. They are a dream for anyone who (like me) appreciates a minimalist aesthetic but still wants to look polished and put-together. Their thoughtful formulations and elegant packaging make them a staple in my routine.

Oh lord I have the highlighter (bounce) I love it bc is a stick you apply it where u want it.. u drop it in ur purse n is not big. I love it

The concealer has featherlight yet confident coverage. This concealer melted into my PIE + PIH without clinging or caking—like literal silk on skin. A radiant everyday staple (just skip the silicone primer) because it sometimes causes pilling. t’s neither dewy nor flat: the finish is effortlessly natural, making it my go-to for everyday wear. I love that I can use it without setting it and still feel put together. Now, with the bronzer. This bronzer is glow in a jar. Its warm tones flatter my cool skin without looking muddy, and the sheer pigment melts in for that effortless, sunlit look. I love it dewy on bare skin or cream base—it’s soft, sculpted, and luminous. Powdering dims its magic, so if you’re not into a radiant finish, this won’t be your vibe. But if you crave that lit-from-within heat? It delivers.

These truly are some of the best blushes I have ever used. And the absolute best contour stick. I didn’t like the concealer but that doesn’t make it bad! I don’t know if I’ll ever use another crème blush or crème contour ever again.

I love the simplicity of this brand. It’s great if you want to build yourself a really simple makeup routine. But also if you’re a makeup collector like me. Some of the products are like a must have. I love the blushes, definitely my favorite of theirs. And they have reds! That’s hard to find. But especially the eyeshadow is pretty much the only eyeshadow that I use and I use it every day. I absolutely will re-purchase it.

I love the simplicity of the routine, Merit reminds me of an elevated version of Glossier. I was originally attracted to this brand because of its clean beauty label. A lot of their products, like the blush and concealer, are cream-based and they work really well for my dry skin. I do wish, however, since they are considered a clean beauty brand, that their products were sustainable too. I mean, part of their motto is that they're safe for the planet The packaging is very luxurious but I feel wasteful when I get down to the end of my container. The blush in particular, which has been my go-to for 2 years now, had at least another two month's worth of application at the bottom of the container which I could not get to. I had to take pliers to break the container to get to the bottom of the blush. When I reached out to customer service about this, they recommended that I use a q-tip to get the remaining product, but that just put cotton fibers into the product.

The blush is so creamy. It’s so easy to apply to my face and always leaves me with a nice glow. Compared to other blushes I’ve tried, I really like the ease of application and pigment, making me choose merit every time!

I originally bought the lip oil from Merit because I really just wanted their black velvet holiday bag but I ended up loving both! I really like Glossier's Generation G as a matte lipstick but it always dries my lips out — not Merit's lip oil! I got it in the Cara Cara color and it's very subtle but feels really nice. The packaging is great and the little holiday bag is so so cute.

I've been using Merit products for the past 7-8 months! I saw a lot of posts about the brand on socials and was sucked in by the minimal branding and beautiful packaging. The products arrived beautifully packed and I felt so elegant unboxing them. I have a darker complexion so I was hesitant to buy the Complexion Stick Foundation online but I trusted the online shade finder and to my delight found a perfect match!! The Complexion Stick Foundation has been an absolute game changer in my routine. If you're like me and ofter find little drips on foundation on your clothes please please please try a foundation stick. No more ruined clothes, it's soooo easy and fun to draw foundation on my skin with a stick. I find this foundation really easy to blend in with a brush and it gives me a really natural finish "your skin but better look". At the beginning I found the stick a little hard to use and found that it was really highlighting textures in my skin that I wasn't trying to highlight, I also felt it made me look quite shiny during the humid summer months. After a little trial and error I've found a good way to prime and set my face when i'm using the complexion stick. I've also received several compliments from friends saying my skin is "glowing" when I wear the foundation. I also purchased the Flush Balm (Persimmon) and Tinted Lip Oil (Cara Cara), I love the colours of both these products on my skin but I find neither product has much staying power which is a bummer. The blush is so fun to apply so I find myself coming back to it but I don't think i'll repurchase. I've just finished my Complexion Stick Foundation and have repurchase it. I also bought one for my mum! If you're someone that's looking for full coverage make-up this probably isn't the brand for you! If you like a more natural look with products that slightly enhance your skin - you'll likely vibe with Merit! p.s. the little make-up bag is such a nice touch! It's so easy to throw into any bag and makes me feel very chic!

Merit is the ultimate "clean girl" makeup brand. Great products + formulas that simplify my routine and never break me out. The Minimalist complexion stick is my tried and true from this brand. It works as a concealer + foundation in one. Covers what you need it to without ever feeling heavy or looking cakey. The Flush Balm is another winner. No matter what color you choose, it blends out like a dream. Those two with a little mascara and you have yourself the easiest "I woke up like this" makeup look.

I love my complexion stick. I never wear foundation so when I added this stick to my routine, it made a big difference. I use it daily on my undereyes and to cover up any blemishes. I also tend to get a lot of redness on my cheeks and this help balance it out. I put it over heavily moisturized skin and it sits really well. Would recommend.

The quality of their products and packaging is lovely, the shade ranges are not the most brown-skin friendly and tend towards lighter than pictured online—I tried one of their deeper shade lipsticks (Signature Lip in Court) and it was much more light orange than brick red. Similar situation with their complexion stick—shade match was lighter and more yellow than what I needed. Their flush balms are my favorite product I tried, very lightweight coverage and the shades, while they range in how pigmented they are, are a good thing to have in a bag or travel kit.

I purchased Merit about one year ago and my face and skin have improved since I started using this makeup! People have commented to me and asked me what I’ve done and why my skin looks so great. I really believe that this make up has not caused me any breakouts and that is very unusual for my sensitive skin. I have gotten so used to having this sheer look it is very freeing and it does make a big difference after I’ve turned 50 to be able to just, put on their amazing skin oil a little bit of blush some mascara and go out most people. Don’t believe that I’m 50 when I put this minimal amount of make up on I don’t think I’ll ever deviate from this brand. I have a few products I use outside of this, but my basic kit that I started with I still have and as much as I want to keep adding to it, I want to use the stuff that I started with before I start adding to it because I love everything I have so much it’s lasted way longer than I expected it to as well! I have used many makeup brands over my years of struggling with cystic acne through my teen years through my two pregnancies (finding out in my 30’s that I was suffering from endometriosis and pcos). I finally have the skin I wanted my whole life due to a combination of a great face routine, good skincare habits, early menopause (due to a hysterectomy at age 40), and makeup that is great for my skin instead of harmful!!! I am a counselor and many of my patients have been asking me what I have done differently and then I end up telling them about this makeup line…I feel like I should work for the company after sending so many people their way 😂. No, but what I do feel is important is whatever you, the person, wants to do for yourself to feel good. Not everyone cares about makeup or skincare and if that is not your self-care thing, by all means spend your money on bowling or video games to get your downtime to recharge and do what you love to do! I have always loved makeup and skincare and my way of self-care is to pamper myself with extra time in the shower and with hair care and face things. It is emotionally difficult work hearing other people’s issues so I choose to take care of my skin the best I know how to within my means. Merit has won my allegiance for life❤️
