Reviews mention

  • Gentle, non-aggressive formulations
  • Nourishing, conditioning remover
  • Flattering, sheer nude shades
  • Ergonomic, wide flat brush
  • Inconsistent, short wear time
  • Slow, dent-prone drying
  • Streaky, blotchy tinted finishes
  • Peeling semi‑permanent polish

Manucurist earns mixed reviews: its Green Flash and Active ranges deliver easy application, gentle formulas, and flattering sheer nudes that improve nails’ appearance, but several reviews report slow drying, premature peeling, and streaky or blotchy tints. The brand is good for a natural “your nails but better” look and non-drying removers, yet performance varies—some shades and treatments dent, smudge, or fail to brighten as promised.

  • My nails are super weak and my hands generally get a beat-up but this polish (of sorts) is a game-changer for me. It does add a lot of strengthening for my nails and adds a bit of shimmer so I know it's on. It lasts a while and makes a noticeable improvement.

  • I originally purchased this trio from Blue Mercury when they were on sale, and was pleasantly surprised by how much they improved the look of my natural nails. I feel like most nude colors look too wall paint-like on my medium skin tone, but I like that these were sheer enough to let your natural nails be visible, but buildable when you wanted more coverage. The brush shape also felt like it fit my nail bed really well (I prefer a slightly thick and flat brush over round and thin, like an OPI brush)

  • I feel like the manicurist brand is perfect for the now nail polish polish sort of girl. I rarely get my nails done, I keep the super short and just like them to look clean. I have several products from the active range and they are perfect for the your nails but better look.

  • Love love love. Love the gentle shade. Love the fact product is natural without any harsh stuff in it. Love the fact its does what is says. My nails are way much better now and they was splitting and breaking all the time due workouts and a lot of computer work!

  • Love this product. When I ordered it, I had polish on my feet from a pedicure, so several layers of polish and the color I had chosen was a bit old so it was pretty think going on. This remover took it off in about the same time/amount of product used as a conventional polish remover (i.e. acetone) without drying my skin or nails. I highly recommend it!

  • I am disappointed with my purchase from Manucurist. I purchased the Active Bright and it is not what I expected. Even though I applied it almost 24 hours ago, it's still getting scratches and dents in the polish, and I applied thin layers. It also didn't really brighten the appearance of my nails. It just has the weird blue pearlescent look that reminds me of a 2000's middle school portrait. I did like the cutlice remover product I got from them, but I don't think I would repurchase it.

  • I tried the nail polish-Nude. Very nice color! It is not pink or yellow. The perfect nude. It seems to hold well and it goes well with the glazed effect powder!

  • I was looking for a product to use to nourish my nails back to health after beating them up with gel and gel polish removal. While I do like the active shine, active glow, I found the active plump and active smooth to take far too long to dry and I ended up with divots and smears. Had to remove and reapply. As far as them benefiting and repairing my nails, it has not been long enough to determine, and I will update as necessary.

  • I’ve used a few “green/clean” nail polish removers over the years, and I honestly prefer them over traditional removers. That said, if you’re used to acetone removing polish instantly, this type of formula may take a little adjustment! With this remover, you’ll want to let the soaked cotton round or cotton ball sit on the nail for a minute or two before wiping off. And, I guess depending on how many coats you applied, it can take 1-2 rounds to completely remove the color clean. The main ingredient, Diethyl Succinate, helps break down the polish, but it definitely needs a little time to work. So if you’re trying to remove your polish quickly, this may not be the best option in the moment :) What I absolutely LOVE about this remover is how my nails and cuticles look afterward. Unlike traditional removers that can leave everything feeling dry and rough, this one leaves my nails looking healthy and nourished. Since these types of removers are usually paired with oils, it helps condition the nails and cuticles while removing polish, even after washing your hands. If you’ve been curious about trying a cleaner or more eco-friendly nail polish remover, I think this is a really great one to start with! Just a heads up: like most traditional removers, this is meant for regular nail polish/lacquer only. It can remove glitter polish too, but expect it to take a little more time and patience.

  • Ho provato vari smalti di manucurist, sono molto facili da usare e veloci da stendere. Non so più stelle solo perché purtroppo non durano tantissimo e per questo preferisco usare smalti semipermanenti diversi!

  • I never tried a semipermanent nail polish before Manucurist. I have their kit with the lamp and I can't live without it anymore. They use green ingredients for their nail polishes and their solvent too. I love the hand and lip balm too. Smells like roses and it's really effective. Worth the money. Plus the packaging is really green and sustainable.

  • I never thought I would like a nail polish so much vs its competitors, but Manucurist is that girl. The brush is great, and the formula glides beautifully, making the process of painting my own nails much easier. Big bonus: it doesn't dry or harm my nails even when keeping the polish in for several weeks -- it leaves my nails feeling healthier. Love it so much.

  • A HUGE BRAVO to Manucurist! i used their products in France but when i moved to NYC i was missing these kinds of products that are clean, and non-aggressive! I gifted myself the Green Flash Semi-Permanent Kit and the experience is very very impressive on the website :) Unboxing is great and the product quality as well! just what i was missing from France :)

  • I really wanted to love this brand. I wanted to find something that had long wear like gel nails but did not have the damage that comes with them. Unfortunately, it wasn't for me :( I bought the green flash kit - with a color of my choice. The color was really nice and the kit was easy to use, however, by the next day 7 out of my 10 nails were peeling off :( They never fully set either, so a couple of them had smudge marks in them which didn't look good. I followed all instructions to a T. It might be that different nails hold the product better than others, but if that's the case, mine were not a match. I also purchased the Active Glow polish. My thought was that after a round of traditional gel nails, I could hopefully use this formula to strengthen my nails again so they took less of a beating. I bought the color called blueberry, thinking it would give my nails a nice healthy hue. Kind of a no-makeup look for my nails. It goes on kind of oozy - where the color isn't consistent and gets blotchy in places. The color runs into the creases near the edges and cuticles and doesn't look right. The overall look of the Active Glow is one of stained nails that look like I was squishing raspberries and now my nails have pigment spotched on them. Not in a good way, in a messy way. The other problem with the brand is that they only take returns on unused products, so if you are trying them out for the first-time and spent $100 dollars, like I did, there is nothing you can do. Obviously in order to know if you like a product you have to use it - so now I just have these products sitting in my home that I don't think I will keep using since they didn't work for me. Overall, a bit of a disappointment - I'll keep looking for a natural, clean solution to long-wearing nail products. This brand wasn't it for me.

  • They start peeling off in a matter of hours and I think it's weakened my nails. Not buying them again.

  • This is a really amazing gadget to have at home for an easy manicure.. my problem was I have shaky hands and can’t actually give myself a proper one!

They should make some kind of stencil or grip to make it easier to paint your opposite hand you don’t write with - similar to olive and june with the poppy - but not that obv

  • I got almost expired nail polish (it was only good for like one month), and when I reached out, I never heard back. It is okay.
