Reviews mention

  • Distinctive, sophisticated fragrance portfolio
  • Luxurious, elegant everyday essentials
  • Even-burning, richly scented candles
  • Lightweight, effective curl-enhancing balm
  • Inconsistent skincare performance results
  • Occasionally weak deodorant efficacy
  • Variable fragrance longevity complaints
  • Sparse-lather peppermint shampoo experience

(MALIN+GOETZ) earns strong reviews for distinctive, sophisticated scents and solid bath-and-body staples, while mixed feedback questions skincare efficacy and certain fragrance longevity. Reviews highlight standout Dark Rum, Bergamot, and Leather across soaps, lotions, candles, and perfumes, yet note some products feel “meh,” a deodorant that’s gentle but not very strong for heavy sweaters, and confusion over “oil-free” labeling on Vitamin B5 moisturizer containing mineral oil.

  • can't really smell fresh strawberries from their strawberry perfume, but maybe I'm just used to artificial ones? it's still fresh and clean as expected. subtle enough that people near you can smell it but can't tell that it's perfume. my mom has a very picky nose but thought this smelled nice when I wore it around her!

  • Really good quality products, smell great and I love the minimal style of the packaging too!

  • Most of products are very good, as well as brand design. What I like and recommend: — sulfur paste works well but you need to be careful with it because it contains alcohol — bergamot hands and body wash smells good (botanic but not ordinary), lathers well and moisturizes — eucalyptus deodorant smells natural, acts very delicate but not very strong, so it's ok for them who don't sweat a lot / or ok with sweat, but just want to block the bad smell (in the gym, for instance) — vitamin b5 moisure cream works well, smells well, I like to have it in my purse for everyday needs — recovery treatment oil + advanced renewal moisturizer together leave my combi skin velvet and very comfortable — sunscreen is very nice for daily use in the city, quickly absorbed, no marks on clothes What I like, but expected more: — detox face mask is funny and pleasant but I didn't see any special result — vitamin e face moisture cream is good, light and simple, I use it in short travel trips (it's enough for comfor) — cilantro conditioner, just ok — grapefruit face cleanser is good but I have had better — revitalizing eye cream, good, but the same as any other eye creams (most of them have the same effect actually) What I don't like: — peppermint shampoo, seems like I need it to much to have enough foam

Travel kit is convenient for short trips (except the shampoo)

  • Barry's (formerly Barry's Bootcamp) used to stock (MALIN+GOETZ) and it was a nice little treat washing your hands with luxury soap and lotion. I love the scents, but it's pricy, so I wouldn't buy it on my own.

  • The rum scent. The rum scent. The rum scent. So good. I love the dark rum soap and lotion. The scent is great and the hydration is standard (it's like the back up to your normal lotion) — but if I wanted a super intense moisturizer, I'd use my Vaseline anyways. I'm here for the smell.

I've tried their facial soap and moisturizer and they didn't wow me. They just didn't seem like they worked well. I'd stick to the hand products.

  • I love their fragrances and perfume oils. Cannabis and leather are my favorites. Great for people who like a deeper, more unisex scent. Dark rum is also good, but bit on the sweeter side.

  • My husband and I are both using the Malin + Goetz Moisturizing Shampoo and Cilantro Hair Conditioner right now, and we’re really impressed with them. They leave my hair and scalp feeling hydrated and the conditioner adds just the right amount of moisture without being too heavy. My scalp feels clean, not dry or flaky, which is a huge plus. Overall, they’re a great duo.

  • I own the entire Dark Rum line, best unisex scent. The candle smells up a room instantly, strongest candle I ever had. You can reuse the candle as glassware for cocktails too!

  • I bought some of their products on a whim before going on a trip and while they are a bit pricey they are beautiful products that smell divine. I think these are great for special guests or to gift to a friend.

  • Great fragrances and well formulated products. They’re expensive, but generally worth it.

  • The Facial Cleansing Oil is EVERYTHING! I'm still fairly new to a curated skin care routine, but I've been enjoying it! The cleansing gel (different brand) I use is somewhat drying and Malin & Goetz cleansing oil is like a primer for that gel. My face is moisturized and infused with the oils which makes using the gel afterwards a lot less harsh.

  • My husband I both love their rollerball fragrances. They are long lasting, travel friendly and it’s one of the few fragrances that doesn’t give me a headache.

  • Products feel high quality while looking simple. Moisturizer works very well; didn’t use hair care long term.

If you like luxury feeling but not fancy, this is a great line.

  • Most products are solid but "value for money" can vary a lot. For example, the body wash is over priced but the leather fragrance roller is a sneaky steal.

  • I've used their shampoo and conditioner, as well as their body lotion, as it was available in several hotels that I've stayed at . It's moisturizing and of good quality. The packaging looks a bit generic, but you can't judge a book by its cover1

    More interesting packaging.

  • Dark Rum scent is AMAZING. I have tried both candle and the perfume. I have smelled 2 others from the line and hated them though. I like the simple packaging .

    Feedback

The candles do not last long and are overpriced because of that. Would be amazing if you did massage candles especially in the dark rum scent.

  • Malin Goetz skincare products include cleansers, moisturizers, masks, serums, oils, eye care, lip care, and more. I used to use the grapefruit face cleanser daily and it always instantly refreshes my skin when I do. Great product.

  • I used the vitamin b5 body moisturizer. It says it’s oil free on the back but it didn’t feel as if it was oil free. The third ingredient listed on back of tube is MINERAL OIL. I would have been ok if it had been jojoba, coconut, or even manula oil BUT MINERAL OIL in a “high end” brand that CLEARLY SAYS oil free on back. Hmmmmm
