Reviewers praise its 13g protein per serving, gluten‑free/grain‑free formulas, fun flavors like Fruity, Cocoa, Cinnamon Roll, and Maple Waffle, and cheerful packaging; common complaints cite an artificial or stevia/monk‑fruit aftertaste, gummy texture that sticks to teeth, flavor inconsistency (especially some chocolate/peanut butter variants), limited satiety for some, and very small, pricey boxes.

  • Way too expensive for 7 ounces of cereal and not good enough to be worth it but I think the idea behind the branding is clever. Nothing else stands out on the shelves in the same way.

  • Purchased for my daughter but i enjoyed the cereal too. She got bored of it before the box was finished. box is great but not much actual cereal inside when you open it. costs more than the value.

  • If you are cool with low sugar food, this is such a good option for you. However, if artificial sweeteners bother you, this product is not for you.

  • For those craving cereal but paying attention to sugar and carbs, this is a friendly alternative. The cereal is solid, with way better macros. They have a satisfying mouthfeel, without the guilt. Tastes vary, but if you’re craving a healthier cereal alternative, it’s a good starting point.

  • This cereal is amazing! My family loves the box designs and variety of flavors. I love the healthy ingredients and nutritional value. It is a bit expensive, but I still purchase from this brand.

  • I have been buying Magic Spoon and shipping it from the USA to the UK since they started out pretty much. They are the only gluten free protein cereal which is palatable. The flavours are delicious and my partner and I go through several boxes per month!

Great product, fast shipping considering it’s coming from overseas. It’s expensive but other cereals in the same space taste like garbage in comparison.

  • Okay, so I finally tried Magic Spoon cereal and I gotta say, it's not bad, but it's not mind-blowing either. I had high hopes for this "healthy" cereal, but the flavor was a bit off for me. That being said, it's definitely better than most of the super sugary and processed options out there, so it's worth a try if you're looking for a healthier cereal fix. I'm still curious to try some of the other flavors, like Fruity and Cinnamon, and see if those are more up my alley. The only thing that's a bit of a bummer is the price point - it's pretty steep for a box of cereal. But I guess you're paying for the quality ingredients and all that jazz.

  • The taste is pretty good, and the Fruit flavored one is virtually (to me) indistinguishable from Fruit Loops, though that is obviously up to personal taste. The texture is ok - it has a good crunch for a low-carb food, but it does stick to the teeth some. While I like that it's high in protein, I dislike that it focuses so much on being low sugar. While some sugars may be healthier than others, that doesn't somehow make natural sugars, like the allulose they use, chemically not sugar - it's just not the white sugar (sucrose) we're used to.

  • BEST HEALTHY CEREAL ALTERNATIVE!!!

Each flavor is better than the last, nostalgic taste of all your favorite cereals but in a low carb version!

  • Over all, I really like what Magic Spoon is working toward. I’ve tried two flavors of the cereal, and one was so good (their take on Fruit Loops) while the chocolate flavor was really not that great. The price point is also significantly higher than your classic cereals.

  • I have tried a few the flavors and to me they're just okay. They lack a little bit a flavor and taste quite bland on their own. That being said, I have mixed the peanut butter and cocoa together and that was quite yummy! For the price, it just doesn't check out for me.

  • I really want to like Magic Spoon more! It checks a lot of boxes by creating a healthier, lower sugar cereal with fun packaging and a variety of flavors. The price is high, but you can typically catch a discount or a deal to make it more manageable. Overall, the flavors are a mixed bag in terms of taste. I've found the cocoa or chocolate related flavors to have an odd taste to them that is somewhat similar to the taste you get from a bad "chocolate" protein bar. The fruity, frosted, or even cinnamon inspired flavors are better and I would get them again.

The flavor of the cocoa, chocolate-adjacent, and peanut butter cereals could be much better. I had a tough time getting through them. Similar notes for the cereal bars, which I got for free as part of a promotion. If you typically enjoy frosted or fruity cereals, these are satisfying enough if you are looking to scratch that cereal itch without going too heavy on sugar or overly processed foods. Definitely find yourself a discount before trying if buying online.

  • Now cheaper than the bigger name brands but I tried the cocoa and it tasted ashy. Simply inedible.

    Feedback

    Needs a chocolate flavor.

  • It's good! I'd get another box forsure if there was a deal or something. Not sure if the recipe has been updated since I tried it in 2019, the aftertaste was off but overall flavor was fine. Love that it's low-carb, high-protein but I think I'd rather get my protein elsewhere personally for the price I'm paying.

  • Although I was optimistic about the healthy twist on breakfast cereal, the taste of all three varieties I tried wasn't satisfying. This product wasn't for me and really made me think twice before buying "healthy" food snacks in the future. However, their customer service was exemplary and even without asking for it, they enforced their own satisfaction guarantee by providing a full refund.

The flavors I tried, both fruity and cocoa, tasted very similar. I wanted an explosion of flavor from the first bite and less of a bitter after taste. The cereal never felt too soggy.

  • It's not anything special, in my opinion. I was so excited to see these for sale in my local Target, but ultimately I just don't feel like the taste was there. There was also especially a lack of crunch. Overall, it felt like someone had made air have a taste. I'm sure it's fine for some, but what I like about cereal felt very lacking here.

    Feedback

I wish it was less like eating air, and more like an actual cereal.

  • I cannot count the number of times I put an order for this cereal into their website's cart and then decided otherwise; the hefty price tag for a bulk order always put me off. But now you can buy a single box at Target! I was a little taken aback by the price tag ($10/box) but decided it was worth the try and I'm glad I did. I purchased a box of the "cocoa" flavor; dry, it is a bit unsweet and maybe not as snackable as your traditional (read: super sugary) options. But, with milk added, I was transported right back to my middle school breakfast table. There is a slight and distinctly "protein added" flavor in the mix but it didn't stop me from gobbling the whole bowl down. So, is it worth it? The flavor was good but I'm not sure it will be replacing my daily egg-on-toast any time soon. Still, it is good to have around for those days when you are in a rush or craving some nostalgia.

I'm glad they are in box stores now; I'm much more likely to purchase. I don't have much feedback to give — I think they do deliver on the taste and experience they promise. The price point seems high to me but I don't think this product is for someone with kids who runs through 3-4 boxes a week. They might seek to leverage that nostalgia angle or beef up the narrative around the flavors to excite and engage customers.

  • I bought this to try. I love cereal but it’s not exactly healthy so I no longer eat it, but magic spoon came along so I had to try it. I liked the subtle sweetness, but it tasted a little artificial. I’d buy it again if it were on sale but I didn’t love it enough to spend full price.
