  • I'm a fan since they launched. Their customer service is OUTSTANDING. Magic Spoon is one of the only cpg startups that I can really say stands behind their products and is a delight to interact with despite the delays in responses sometimes. Magic Spoon has gotten me through many calorie deficits as my "treat" without breaking my cuts. The flavors they offer are 50/50 to me. 50% are spot on and taste true to the flavor name (peanut butter, birthday cake, fruity, oatmeal cookie) and the other 50% don't taste at all like the famous cereal it's trying to mimic (cocoa, frosted, cinnamon, honey nut, sugar cookie). I see a lot of people balk at the cost of the box of "cereal" but this is a true protein product and not just some cheap wheat cereal. The cost per serving is on par with protein powders, but it is still pricey. And... this is not a low fat protein cereal. In order to get a full serving of protein in one bowl, you are also getting about 15-20g of fat. It's my biggest gripe with this cereal. If you prefer a lower fat diet with higher protein and carbs like I do, then this protein cereal would take up a huge fat allotment. While it's not the perfect protein cereal, it's the best one I've tried and I do enjoy it once in a while as a treat. I do recommend it to friends and fam who enjoy cereal and are looking to find ways to make protein consumption a bit more fun!

  • Cereal that you don’t have to feel bad for? Count me in! Super delicious and very filling without all the sugar. Comes in great flavors as well!

  • These things are really too sweet they make you feel like your teeth are about to fall out. I do not like them and I would not be recommended them at all

Received a free product from Magic Spoon
  • My daughter loves cereal! Once we tried Magic Spoon I knew we would be ordering often!! I love that I don’t have to worry about allergens, sugar or boring flavors. I am a big fan of the added protein as a growing toddler is typically a picky eater and protein is a hard one to add in. Her favorite flavor is the Maple and mamas favorite is Peanut Butter! Our cereal container never stays full for long!

Just read the ingredients if you have allergies, my daughter is sensitive to peanut butter but she can enjoy all the rest of the amazing flavors!

  • I really like Magic Spoon! Most of the flavors are really good. I'm not as big of a fan of the chocolate, but I love the others. I really like the individual cups you can buy. I find that the box can go stale quickly if you don't keep it tightly wrapped. Overall I love the product for the high nutrition, low carb healthy alternative and I love the brand mission/aesthetic!

Improve some of the flavors. Reduce pricing. More flavors.

  • This was BOGO at my Publix and decided to try it. I like the chocolate one more than the fruit when it comes to eating it as cereal with milk, but on its own I prefer the fruity. I would buy again IF on sale because $10 of expensive for one box.

  • I've been eating low carb for half a year now and was surprised how much this actually felt like cereal. It's a fun treat to have every now and then, but this won't be a staple in my life because it's so expensive. I'm giving it five stars for the taste but I was pretty disappointed how the bag is almost half full especially when they're $10 a box. There should be better bulk prices for people who want to eat this regularly. At this price point I will probably only enjoy these once or twice a year. The texture is great, it's very sweet and yummy. But there can be a slight strange aftertaste. This didn't bother me, and I didn't notice it was some flavors. But thought I should mention that for anyone who would be disappointed by that. All said it's amazing that you can have an authentic "cereal experience" for just a couple of carbs. Low carb can feel prettier restraining at some points, so it's nice to have treats like these every once in awhile that don't set you back.

  • I recently gave Magic Spoon's variety pack a try, and I really liked the cinnamon roll flavor. However, I couldn't help but notice a somewhat artificial taste and a slightly odd aftertaste. It would be fantastic if they offered larger boxes with more servings. Despite that, it's still a pretty good alternative!

  • I ordered Magic Spoon online before it was sold in stores. It was expensive and I was willing to purchase because I was on keto and fiending for cereal. The the taste was top tier for the ingredients that are used. It tasted very close to the sugary cereals that I’m use to. I’m glad they have it at my local Target!

  • Absurdly expensive for cereal that was (after comparing it to the other brands in my cabinet) no more healthy than the others. Also, this is the only cereal I have ever encountered with milk proteins in it. I’m allergic to milk. Particularly whey. I have never in my life had to check a box of cereal for milk before. I took one bite and immediately knew something was wrong as my mouth started watering in a bad way. So the flavor wasn’t bad I just physically cannot eat this cereal. It’s odd because one would expect with everything it touted for it to be vegan but alas, number one ingredient is Milk Protein Blend

  • I think Magic Spoon is doing as good of a job as they can with high protein and low sugar cereal. The cereals don't taste as good as the extremely sugary store brand cereals that we all grew up on, but they do provide at least some joy. My biggest complaint would be that all of the cereals are shaped in an "O" shape, and it would be nice to have some flake or pebbles, or other cereal shape varieties. It's a similar parallel between protein and chocolate bars, the chocolate bars definitely taste better but we want the protein/lower sugar from the protein bar. I also got a free "Magic Spoon" with my purchase which was really fun! Also, my cat loved biting the cardboard boxes, so was a great purchase for him too!

  • Cant believe this is not a commercial-full of sugar cereal, Taste so good! My inner kid love the feeling of having a bowl of cereal looking at this super cool illustrations, cant wait to see this going mainstream and being available everywhere.

The quality of the box and product bag feels a little “cheap” but hopefully it’s because of its Eco-friendly character

  • I'm conflicted about Magic Spoon. I love the concept (a big fan of easy + healthy + tasty foods), but the execution isn't fully there. I do like the more traditional cereal flavors like Peanut Butter and Fruity. Most notably, there's a strong "after-texture" that makes the food stick in your teeth. (I've noticed this with some other allulose-based products.) Otherwise it's pretty similar to normal cereal. I'm happy to eat it occasionally for a lazy breakfast, but I usually only order more if there's a promotion.

Price point is steep, considering the box size is deceptive – I get maybe two bowls per box.

  • I think this brand is hit or miss. My household has a mixture of neurodivergent people that have texture issues, as well as an individual with food allergies. My local Kroger was running a sale so I bought 3 boxes. Of the 3 I bought, the chocolate cereal was the hit of the house. The others were bland. Overall I would not purchase this product at full price (at almost $10 an box) and would only consider it at a really good sale price.

  • Fyi yall, the actual volume of the cereal is less than half a box. It's more expensive than it looks. Shipping from Magic Spoon directly also takes 3 weeks for me in the United States. I think their overall quality and quantity has dropped. Flavourful wise- I like Frosty only so far.

  • I love this cereal it’s absolutely delish and (mostly) guilt free.

My only feedback is to further limit the ingredients. I’m anti-inflammatory (no overly processed sugar or oils) and cannot eat this due to the oil blend, or more specifically sunflower oil.

  • I have been ordering this product for quite some time, so I feel like I have seen them change and grow. Now, I have not had every flavor, but I have had the most popular and a couple of their seasonal ones. In the beginning, I only enjoyed about half of the flavors, but the ones I did like I really enjoyed. Now I can confidently say I enjoy every flavor and order them monthly. The maple waffle is my all-time favorite and my least favorite (cinnamon, and has now been rebranded as cinnamon roll) has been improved to the point where I add it into my monthly rotation. I wouldn't say this brand is for everyone, but definitely for most. I've heard that if you eat it with certain milks it doesn't mix well, but I've had it with whole milk and oat milk and it taste amazing. If you're thinking about buying it, get a variety pack and give it a try. It's pretty healthy, and in my opinion, worth the price.

Packaging doesn't seem high quality. Very colorful, but very easy to rip open the box and hard to reseal. Also for some reason the cereal can arrive in big clumps in the box. It breaks up and doesn't affect the cereal in any way but some have described it as unappetizing in looks. I really don't think it's a big deal but for some reason affects other people.

  • I liked the crunchy of them, my favorite flavors are cocoa and fruity I didn’t like the other flavors so much they are not bad but not for me the product tastes good I like them. I don’t give them 5 because not all the flavors are tasty for me.

  • It wasn’t bad, but not as good as I expected.

I was expecting to replace a whole meal, but it just a snack/ breakfast food.

  • I am a huge fan of Magic Spoon cereal. I have tried other high-protein and healthy cereals, and this is the first brand that really nails a legitimately enjoyable yet low-sugar/high protein cereal. The cereal stays crunch in milk for a reasonable time, and most flavors are quite enjoyable with or without milk. I don't follow a keto diet, but I do appreciate the lack of a sugar high compared with conventional cereal. Certain flavors work better than others. Highlights for me have been the frosted, cinnamon roll, honey nut, blueberry muffin. I also liked the cocoa and fruity, though these are likely to be polarizing. I did not at all care for the peanut butter, though the company reports this is one of their more popular flavors.

The requirement for buying 4-packs is a bit onerous, particularly given the high price of the cereal. Availability at local retail (e.g. Target) should help with this. I like the cereal cups as well, despite the higher price, but these are only available in a pre-set variety pack. Lastly, their cereal bars are terrible with a strong aftertaste I associate with some non-sugar sweeteners (particularly striking since the cereal doesn't suffer from this).
