  • Overly sweet taste
  • Noticeable salty finish
  • Inconsistent flavor quality

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—many users report it eases headaches, cramps, altitude fatigue, long workouts, travel dehydration, and hangovers—yet the brand draws consistent criticism for overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors and high sugar content. Reviews also praise the convenient single-serve packets, broad flavor range (notably Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon), and quick dissolving, while noting misses in some flavors, occasional graininess, and concerns about “bad” ingredients, sodium, and a few reports of gluten issues.

  • This product is incredible from anywhere to drunkin nights to ultimately really not feeling well and dehydrated this brand has saved me. I use the passionfruit hydration multiplyer and the immunity boost whenever i start to feel crummy or dehydrated and it works like a charm. This product is worth the buy!

  • We keep a stock of Liquid IV at my home at all times. While drinking water throughout the day is essential, I love that I can drink liquid IV on those days when I'm super busy and forget to hydrate properly. My teenage son is an athlete and these are great for game days as well!

  • When I first tried liquid IV, I took two packs in one day just to see the results, not knowing how many to consume in one day. On the second day, I took one pack. Afterward, I did see a difference in hydration. However, I started to develop a really bad headache that I believe was due to the 500mg of salt. If you have high blood pressure, I do not recommend this product.

There should be a warning label for people with high blood pressure, sugar diabetes, and less salt added.

  • Literally drinking one right now as I have a little cold. These are so good! I love the flavors, especially tangerine. We purchase a large pack from Costco usually and have these on hand for anytime we need a little boost.

They have more sugar than some alternatives, but that’s probably what makes them so delicious to drink.

  • With this new addition to the tear and shake industry I adore the flavor of the watermelon one I indulged in guiltlessly. With the same refreshing taste of a gatorade without the nasty after the taste, it may just be an item at add as a staple to my supplement regiment. I also was shocked by how well it dissolved into my water making it a frosty replenisher right before my eyes. No chunky leftovers either. By far, one of the best tasting drink mixes I have had.

The price point is a bit higher than others but you pay for what you get.

  • AMAZING! Very helpful for hydration especially for cross country. Watermelon is the best flavor.

    Feedback

It is really expensive for just a pack of ten and being like $20.

  • I definitely felt more hydrated, but I also noticed that it made me more thirsty. Which might be how it works? Makes you thirsty, for you to drink more water, in order to stay hydrated?

    Feedback

The flavor is a little sweet for my liking. After my tasting my first packet with the suggested amount of water I decided to try only half the next time, which tasted so much better! I tasted strawberry and tangerine while both were great I preferred tangerine more because it was less sweet.

  • I have really been liking the açaí berry i it’s got a great taste but is the only flavor I have tried so far. As someone who needs to drink more water but doesn’t always succeed I really do feel a difference when I add this especially if I add a one a few days in a row. Also Vegan friendly!

  • I LOVE liquid iv! After a workout or anytime I’m feeling like I need a pick-me-up and don’t want coffee, I just make one of these! I’ve had the Acai and Passionfruit flavors, both are delicious!

  • Love this product! After a long hot summer run it’s the perfect boost of extra hydration and it’s tasty!! I’ve suffered from hydration headaches but liquid I.V. has really seemed to help. Top flavors: watermelon, strawberry, concord grape

Not a fan of the lemon ginger with matcha

  • I live in Arizona and the heat has been awful lately, I was checking around to get supplements to add to my water and aid my hydration, i saw these and decided to try the lime flavor, to be honest i expected it to taste like medicine lol i dont like gatorade nor powerade so this was a great surprise that i liked this! The flavor is great! It’s definitely not like natural limeade but its close, would definitely recommend

I would say having bigger packages

  • I recently tried these because I don’t drink as much water as I should. The flavor is good and I feel much more hydrated after using these verses a regular bottle of water. These are a great way to stay hydrated.

    More flavor options

  • Love the hydration it can provide when you're running around but don't love the flavor and overall aftertaste.

  • The taste is amazing and works great!

  • I use this often especially when I feel sick and want to hydrate. I wouldn’t drink this daily as it is high in sugar.

  • Still use it, love the taste and keeps me hydrated. love the flavor. Which is wasn't too sweet but I add extra water.

    I buy it frequently.
  • Very tasty flavors and the claims they make are true

    Feedback

Decomposable packaging and smaller serving sizes

  • I've drank Liquid IV after a long night out before, but the flavor is definitely not one I like. there are artificial sweeteners in it along with real sugar, but stevia has such a distinct taste that i can't get over. would i get this again if it was one of the only options for electrolytes? yes. but i wouldn't go out of my way to get it.

  • The flavors are innovative, fun and on point with trends in the market. However... my big problem with these drink mixes is the sweetness and sugar content. I can't stand the level of sugar and have to constantly dilute. There are more efficient ways to get my electrolytes

  • Of all the electrolyte water enhancers I’ve tried, I like Liquid IV the most. The brand offers various flavors and benefits (like immunity boost and energy). However, following the packet's directions to mix with 16oz of water, you get a very thick and concentrated drink. I recommend mixing with 24-32 oz of water for the best taste. By far, it is one of the most expensive electrolyte enhancers.
