Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, heat, travel, or a night out—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (standouts include Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) make it easy to use. Reviews also flag consistent drawbacks: many flavors taste overly sweet or salty, some feel thick or artificial, and the added sugar and sodium (with a newer sugar‑free line noted) are frequent concerns; mixing can clump and flavor hit-or-miss. Overall, the brand is effective but polarizing on taste and ingredients.

I love that their packets are accessible in retail stores, but I can't get over the sugar component that each one has. I did see that they are making sugar free options so that might help!?
Liquid I.V. got my through 4 days of Mardi Gras while in recovery from Strep throat...its a godsend!
I love liquid I.v. Because it totally cures my hangovers. Not only is it a great supplement but it does it’s job and then some. Wether it’s an occasional hangover, or just plain dehydration- liquid i.v. Kicks ass!
I wanted to like this because the name is great and so is the branding, however, when push came to shove, both times I used liquid IV it made me feel sick. So unfortunately, I have to say this one is not for me.
no joke, I always always always have liquid IV on me. I feel such a noticeable difference whenever I feel just a little bit dehydrated (or when I'm feeling a little bit hungover). although liquid IV has a little bit more sugar than some other brands, I find that it tastes the best and gives me a perfect boost of energy in substitute of caffeine. liquid IV is my FAVE. it's life-changing.
Good for hydration but so many carbs
A product that does actually work! I have yet to find a flavor I like tho
Love this! I don’t drink as much water as a should and this really helps in keeping me hydrated
Too much sugar
Good flavors. Does not taste like artificial sweeteners. Makes me drink more water too.
Easy to find at most all stores and was helpful in pregnancy but I had to only use half a packet at a time because it was too sweet. Also pretty $$ for not as many benefits as some other hydration packets.
My family and I buy these from Costco in bulk and we usually drink about two a day during the hotter seasons (110 degrees in Sacramento). I can definitely tell the difference in hydration when I use them. My mom was also advised to use these after giving birth and during labor to help with staying hydrated and we’ve been using them since. The strawberry and peach are my favorite flavors. I toss one into my 32oz hydro flask and it’s got a subtle, fresh sweetness to it!
Love the idea, taste isn’t too bad either. Does what it says but doesn’t help with nausea which is a big problem for me when I am dehydrated or not feeling well.
I like the passionfruit flavor!
Liquid IV has become my ultimate go-to when it comes to fighting those dreaded hangovers, and their Strawberry flavor is an absolute game-changer! As someone who enjoys a good night out with friends, I've experienced my fair share of rough mornings. But thanks to Liquid IV, those mornings have become much more manageable and enjoyable.
I am not a huge fan of liquid IV. I have so many friends who swear by it but I haven't really noticed any benefits from drinking it. I do think they do offer some good flavor options but they come across as a little too sweet for me.

I love mixing a packet after a long run or workout! There's actually quite a bit of powder so I usually do about half a packet for a glass of water so it isn't too sweet. I find most electrolyte mixes to be grainy, too salty, or taste bad but I actually enjoy these a lot. I find myself reaching for these just to add flavor to my water sometimes.
My family was really big into drinking this stuff. I thought it smelt horrible and tasted like medicine. I guess if your taste buds can handle it, I guess it is good for you. But doesn't many sports drinks with a better taste offer electrolytes?
Here's the thing. Is this mostly sugar, flavor, and salt/electrolytes? Yes. Is that exactly what you need after a long night out of when you've been slacking on the water and your skin looks a little dehydrated? Absolutely! I love that these are portable and can be easily dumped into your flat or sparkling water for a fun way to rehydrate - perfect to take along on a vacation!
Great for dehydration. Love the taste
