Reviews mention

  • Noticeably fast hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-ready packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Mixes easily in cold water
  • Overly sweet, sometimes salty taste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional thick, gritty texture
  • Inconsistent flavor enjoyment

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.

  • Usually use a packet when I don't have time to drink a lot of water or feel a migraine coming on. It is pretty expensive for what it is. Recommend if you're an athlete or medical worker who don't have time to chug enough water during their day.

  • Pretty good hydrator overall but there’s more sugar than other brands.

  • Hello hungover saver!! I have aged but liquid IV lets me not have a hangover like a 33yr old! Having these on hand when I am feeling dehydrated or need that extra help after a night of drinking this is my go to brand!

  • I enjoy the flavors they have and feel better after a night out when I add to water. The main complaint I have is the sugar level. I wish they had tasty sugar free / substitute as an option.

  • Great for dehydration and if you want a punch of flavor. I drink these on occasion but personally find them to be too sweet so have to dilute them down 3x more than the recommended, like 1 packet to a 1.5-liter bottle of water. They do as advertised and help with hydration and energy, also great for hangovers (if you drink one before then the hangover wont be as bad and if you drink one after then it will go away faster)

  • Whenever I need a pick me up or I’m feeling dehydrated these are fabulous.

  • HUGE FAN. The lemon lime flavor is my favorite — always makes me feel better after a hangover.

  • I was skeptical about this but was really shocked to find it to work so well. I recommend if your needing to revive

  • I don’t really see the point with electrolyte boosters. But I’m not a super intense athlete. I tried it, didn’t see a boost in energy, so haven’t invested in more.

  • I'd have to agree that the added sugar is a drawback but I don't mind it since I like the Lemon Lime and Tropical flavor. They could use a bit less packaging I feel as well. Usually only buy it when it's on sale or when I'm at Costco.

  • Flavor is nice, sweet but overall subtle. Blends well with water which is the important part. Love adding this to a large water bottle.

  • Liquid IV is great after a night of drinking or when traveling. I have also used after a workout or on a hot day for an added boost of hydration. Personally they are a bit sweet and sometimes make me nauseous due to the sugar. My favorite flavor is the green energy ones which is a great pick me up and hydration boost

  • Love adding this to water when I’m feeling sluggish and need a pick me up. The flavors are good and helps keep me hydrated

  • I have a chronic illness and drink liquid IV pretty regularly. I love how they are expanding their flavors. The kids cotton candy flavor is by far the best, but the new lower sugar options are amazing.

  • Used these when I was postpartum and loved them. Lots of different flavors. Knocked a point for how sweet they are.

  • I'm constantly thinking about, "did I drink enough water today?". Liquid I.V. is an essential for my wellness journey and is mandatory for any plane travel that I do. While the flavors are sometimes under-whelming, it gets the job done to get me to quench my thirst for more H20. I'd say my hesitation for purchasing falls with the price -- it adds up if you're drinking these every day!

  • I tried these packets and I found them to be super salty and sweet. I understand the concept but I feel like it would not help me if I was hungover.

  • Liquid I.V. stands out as a game-changer in the hydration game. The electrolyte powder, when mixed with water, transforms into a powerhouse of hydration, ensuring a more effective replenishment. Beyond its functional benefits, the well-balanced and subtly sweet flavors make hydrating a genuinely enjoyable experience. With a commitment to wellness, Liquid I.V. emerges as a convenient and effective solution for those looking to optimize their hydration routine.

  • I loved this as an alternative to water when I wanted something more flavorful. I don't know that I noticed a huge difference hydration-wise. But perhaps I should try it again when significantly lacking in hydration. I liked it enough to give it another go.
