Reviews mention

  • Noticeably fast hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-ready packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Mixes easily in cold water
  • Overly sweet, sometimes salty taste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional thick, gritty texture
  • Inconsistent flavor enjoyment

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.

  • Honestly, I didn't know how Liquid I.V. really worked on me until one time I came home super dehydrated and i opened a packaged and put it in my water, a few sips later, I was feeling super hydrated and my body was feeling strong again. I am excited about trying their sugar free option

  • Of all the options for electrolytes and hydrations supplements, I hate to say that Liquid IV is probably the most medicinal tasting and one of the highest in sugar. It does get the job done and is very convenient especially for when playing sports since you can just drop it in any bottle size.

  • Super tasty and convenient. Has a bit more sugar than some of the other brand so prefer those to that one. I saw recently they have one with less or 00 sugar so might try that.

  • Liquid IV does live up to its reputation as a quick and convenient way to stay hydrated. The product comes in various flavors, and I found them to be quite pleasant. Mixing one packet with water, as instructed, resulted in a flavorful and refreshing drink!

  • I like the flavors of these but they are far too sweet. I wish they made a lower sugar version

  • Love using their products. Some of them are a bit sweet for me personally but others are fine. I buy in bulk when they’ve got deals going. Happy to see them starting to offer sugar free flavors too.

  • I love this brand. I recently took it to a music festival in the desert and it was a life saver. The taste is great and it definitely helped keep me hydrated. I’ve also recently tried the sugar free peach and it is absolutely delicious! I also just purchased the kid flavors for my five year old which are designed for smaller water bottles and he loves them. The taste encourages him to stay hydrated.

  • The flavors are pretty good, I usually don’t use a whole packet because they’re really flavorful! I’m not sure how well they actually benefit but it makes me drink more water so that’s a pro for me :)

  • Liquid IV kept me alive during last years HOTTEST ACL on record! The 3 day outdoor concert festival, was held in Austin Tx and it was beyond unbearable outside! I kept liquid IV in my gallon of water at the festival, and it def helped!

  • Come in a great variety of flavors but are a tad salty. I drink one of these when I have a headache and it definitely helps!

  • Liquid IV comes in packets that you mix with 16oz of water. Unlike many of these products, it dissolves easily. The electrolyte boost is solid. Taste-wise it is a bit salty but the sodium content is right on target. If it’s too salty try 18oz of water and drinking it very cold. The flavors taste different to different people. I prefer fruit punch and lemon lime. My bff hates lemon lime and loves the strawberry which I swear is vile. Grab some individual packets to find your flavor before your get a subscription. I like that there’s no GMO and no artificial sweeteners in this. There is 11g of sugar which is fine for my needs but YMMV. The only downside to Liquid IV is the over the top amount of B vitamins. B vitamin overdose is a real thing. You can’t use Liquid IV if you take a multivitamin. And more than one Liquid IV a day isn’t a good idea unless your doctor is cool with it.

  • Liquid IV's single-serving packets make it my travel and festival essential. Not only does it help with hangovers, but it's also a quick fix when I'm feeling unwell or getting a headache. The taste, which reminds me of Pedialyte, is just fine. It's become my go-to for staying hydrated and feeling better, no matter the situation.

  • My son plays a lot of baseball and travels a lot to various states with different climates. When they play ball in 105+ heat the sweat so much and need to replenish the sodium, sugar, and electrolytes they’re losing. Water is obviously great but this product works so fast at replacing what they’re sweaty out. For me, someone who works out frequently, I thought water was enough, however, I kept having dizzy spells. A nurse told me it's because I'm lacking electrolytes since I do high-moving exercises. She said that drinking just water isn't enough; if you are lacking electrolytes, water will not be retained in the cells and you will just pee it out, thus not rehydrating your body at all. She also recommended me this product. And let me say, this has helped me tremendously. I no longer am dizzy when I stand up quickly. When I have a headache, I drink this product and it goes away after some time. My entire family benefits from this product and I highly recommend it.

  • It’s a good, trustworthy brand. But I just didn’t love the taste to these which made it so difficult to even drink them when sick. I’ll be sticking to body armor for now.

  • A little on the sweet side but haven’t tried their sugar free versions yet. Really liked their energy boost IV- provided a solid morning pick me up after a late night sans jitters. Great for travel as well! Made for great wedding handouts the morning after.

  • Likes : they benefits - I DID feel more hydrated after drinking the whole bottle of water in a 30 minute window vs throughout the day. Dislikes: THE TASTE! Phewwww it’s a bit salty? But if you goulp it a little mindlessly and go about your day it’s not too bad… I got the strawberry flavor. I think this would work great if you’re in the south and an outdoor worker. Then the taste would be nothing.

  • I have tried many varieties of Liquid I.V. I can't say I'm in love with any particular flavor because they are all so strong, but it's easily remedied by increasing the water-to-pouch ratio. I keep them stashed in my purse, my truck, my kids' backpacks. My husband typically does not ingest caffeine but I have even found him occasionally stashing one of the caffeineated(sp?) tubes in his backpack for days he might need an extra bit of energy. I love that the way they are packaged for ease of keeping on hand after a hike or bringing along for travel.

  • Definitely makes me feel more hydrated, but the flavors get a bit hard to stomach if the water isn’t ice cold. I’m going to keep trying to see if there’s a flavor I like and hope for the best!

  • I've tried a lot of electrolyte powders and I think Liquid IV is pretty good! The flavors are good, but I'm not sure I noticed any measurable difference over competition. I've moved onto preferring other brands at this point, but still not sure there's any other difference there!
