Reviews mention

  • Cute, collectible packaging aesthetics
  • Glossy, comfortable lip oils
  • Luminous, buildable highlighters
  • Silky, flattering powder blushes
  • Drying matte liquid lipsticks
  • Streaky darker liquid shades
  • Fast‑setting, unblendable liquid shadows
  • Fragile, break‑prone lip liners

Kylie Cosmetics earns mixed reviews: the brand delivers standout glosses, highlighters, blushes, and a lightweight Skin Tint that perform beautifully, while many users find the iconic lip kits and matte liquid lipsticks drying, sticky, or short‑lasting. Reviews also note cute packaging and rich color ranges, offset by inconsistent formulas, streaky darker shades, fast‑drying liquid shadows that are hard to blend, and occasional liner breakage or odd color shifts.

  • Kylie cosmetics are some of my favorite. The color is awesome and they are definitely trendy and high-quality. They are worth every penny of the price

  • Absolutely love Kylie cosmetics, I have tried many different products over the years and they’ve all been so good, her lip kits have always been a favorite and all of the different colors that are offered!

  • Super duper overrated makeup and lip products - but I think they're too expensive and I hate the Kardashians and how they promote awful consumerism and beauty standards in society. 1 star. Not a fan!!!!

  • The WORST liquid lipstick I had ever tried. Can’t say much for her other products, but I haven’t tried much since she first launched.

  • I was gifted some of their products and they were fine. The eyeshadow wasn't very pigmented and their lip kit was VERY drying on my already dry lips.

  • I absolutely LOVE the watermelon lip oil! It's definitely become an essential in my everyday purse! I've also tried the lip kits, which I also love and have gotten compliments on the color.

I would love to try more of her stuff in the future! i think her brand is solid overall.

  • People love to speak badly about this brand but as someone who as tested nearly all the products in the lineup, I can’t say it is horribly bad. Sure, the collections aren’t as exciting and innovative as they used to be. But Kylie Cosmetics’ core collection is a solid group of makeup. I constantly find myself reaching for her powder blushes — there is a great variety of shades and the color payoff is beautiful. Her newly formulated bronzer and highlighters have been a go to of mine recently too. The high shine lip glosses are some of my favorites on the market. I used to despise the scent of them, but put up with it because of how glossy and non sticky they were. But once the brand reintroduced them with a much better scent I couldn’t be happier. The lip liners are also a great get — they’re ultra creamy and lasting enough that you can go without putting lipstick on top if you really wanted to.

The brand has upgraded its eyeshadow formula since launch and I love it. But I do find the palettes to begin to feel repetitive and less innovative with each launch. I would love to see more excitement in that arena. Overall, would love if Kylie Cosmetics put less focus on limited edition collections and more focus on developing and perfecting a core lineup.

  • Not my favorite makeup brand. I feel like the products have had the same formula since day 1, especially the liquid lipsticks - which make my lips feel super dry and heavy. However, I do love their blushes; the powder and cream ones are amazing and a must-have.

  • I think some of the products are good and I think some of the products can be overpriced and you are just essentially paying for the brand name. I think her glosses are good and her highlighters but I haven't tried any other products from the line since the rebranding.

  • Products are def hit or miss! I do enjoy the highlighters and blushes a bit more than the iconic lip kits. I have some of the eyeshadow palettes and find they are kind of streaky and a lot of fallout but can still be blended if you try.. I think everything had potential to be good but formulas need to be changed still.

  • I've tried a few of the lip kits. They're fine! I do like that they come paired with a matching liner. And they aren't dry or flaky. There's no bleeding/feathering, and it stays put for hours. Kristen - Brighter than it looks in photos but still a beautiful color. Mary Jo K - LOVE. If I had to choose only one product it would be this one. I think it's the best red I've ever had. It's a true red, blue-based, and I think it looks great on everyone. Leo - I wanted to like this because it's a nice color but it was streaky and required 2-3 layers. Not good with matte liquids. I had a couple more but forget which shades exactly as I gave them away for the streaky issues (they were darker colors). Would I buy more? No. I think ColourPop offers just as good a product (I believe it's the same manufacturer) for a much better price.

  • I absolutely love the limited edition lines. I think they are really thought out and cute. My favourite product is a ltd ed eyeshadow palette for xmas a few years ago, unfortunately not available anymore. The lip kits are the first products she came out with and are definitely good quality, however, for the price point you can definitely achieve really similar results and colours from colourpop cosmetics. Branding overall is super cute.

  • I do like the lip products and powder blushes. They give an almost filtered blurring effect, the blushes. I love winter kissed and the K-pop idol Wonyoung uses it. I can understand why people do not like her products. She does not seem connected with her brand, but she also doesn't own half her brand.

  • I think some of her products are great as others are just okayy. I don’t think they’d sell nearly as well if she wasn’t a Jenner but again, it depends on the product. The packaging is usually really cute.

  • I have tried a lip kit with lip pencil and lipstick, it was good but i think after hours it dry's your lips

  • I recently tried out the Kylie Lip Kit in the shade "Candy K" and was immediately drawn to the cute packaging and color. However, after applying it, I noticed it didn't last very long and left my lips feeling weird and sticky. I ended up having to reapply multiple times throughout the day, which was a hassle. One time, I even had to reapply at a friend's barbecue and the sticky feeling made it impossible to eat my burger without getting it all over my face. Overall, the performance and feeling of the product just doesn't live up to the hype for me.

The packaging is super cute and the colors are great, but the actual product didn't live up to my expectations. The lip color didn't last long at all and left my lips feeling kind of weird and dry. I'm not sure if I would purchase these again.

  • I tried the liquid lipstick. The color was great, but the product started to come off quickly and made my lips feel dry.

  • The matte lipstick became clumpy after a short time. Colors were good but the quality is not as amazing as I would have expected.

    Feedback

Matte lipstick is tough. I hoped it would be long lasting and remain clump free but neither were true.

  • The lip kits are my hold grail. I always get so many compliments on how plump and pretty the colour looks on my lips. I have smaller lips so it's a compliment I don't get often.

  • You can get the same thing for much cheaper and honestly the cheaper versions feel like they are higher quality. Overall I just wasn't super impressed. I do love the packaging!

I just wish they were more innovative
