Reviews mention

  • Ultra-convenient coffee concentrate format
  • Strong, energizing caffeine kick
  • Versatile hot-and-cold preparation
  • Sleek, attractive glass packaging
  • Bitter, burnt flavor notes
  • Noticeable acidity causing sourness
  • Awkward, drippy bottle stopper
  • Inconsistent flavor strength dilution

Jot earns mixed reviews: many say it’s convenient, versatile, and delivers a strong, smooth caffeine hit—especially for iced lattes and quick black coffee—while others find the flavor bitter, burnt, or too acidic and not on par with premium brews. Reviews also praise the sleek bottle and ease for travel, but cite issues with sourness in hot drinks, uneven strength, awkward dripping stoppers, and contentious subscription/returns experiences.

  • I really do love this stuff. Makes the best black cup of coffee in so little time. Pair it with a Fellow Electric Kettle and you're set in the morning.

  • I love coffee and drink it every day, but I am by no means a coffee connoisseur. This was great for me because it was so easy. It tasted great with almond milk.

    Feedback

I'd like to see more flavors in the future. Also, the website is a bit clunky - I'd see offers elsewhere, but then I'd go to the website and only 1 or 2 things were available?

  • It's tasty and convenient, but I prefer making my coffee fresh daily.

  • I have tried Jot a few times and overall I am a fan of the convenience and taste. I do find it a little pricier than most other coffee concentrates and the subscription model can be frustrating to commit to.

    Feedback

Lower prices and easier to purchase and find. Other flavor options.

  • Love this for iced coffee, but unfortunately does not taste great (IMO) if added to hot beverages (milk, milk substitutes, etc.)

    Feedback

Would nice if the top rubber part of the bottle came off more easily so you could rinse out the bottle for recycling.

  • I like being able to make my cold brew stronger or weaker depending on the day, and it's nice to use it like espresso and make a strong latte. However, I didn't get as many uses out of it as the packaging says, so I'm not sure if it's worth the price.

  • I'm a coffee skeptic who needs a strong bolt of caffeine to make it to 2pm. I'm pretty much Nitro Cold Brew or nothing. I wasn't really looking for a coffee option but got a code with my Sunbasket order...and I'm kind of shocked how much I love this coffee! It's strong enough to get me going (can't say that for most concentrate options, without doing 2x the product), it doesn't make me jittery, and it's really delicious. I don't think I'll fully swap out brewing my own cold brew, but this is such a nice option to have in the fridge, or for trips (it'll be so nice for a camping trip!)

I never really love a subscription model - I'd like to have the option to buy when I want it!

  • I love how I can make iced coffee or latte quickly and easily at home. People are not too happy about the cost but honestly, I find it reasonable for its convenience and most importantly TASTE. After drinking Jot for a few weeks, I compared it with iced coffee at the cafe or similar products from Trader Joe's or Whole foods and I found that Jot's coffee actually tastes better. I love the experience of using Jot.

I wish I could easily find them at the supermarket or wholesale. I just feel bad for the subscription because of the packaging/shipping.

  • I love iced latte. Like love it! But it has been so hard to replicate it at home. And iced coffee is NOT the same as iced latte. So when I tell you this stuff is the holy grail! I start my mornings now every day with iced latte that is almost identical to the stuff I would get at an local independent coffee shop.

While its cheaper than buying your iced coffees and lattes every day, it is pricer than the cold-brews you can buy from the grocery store. And it sucks that I have yet to find it wholesale. I'm still going to buy it online, but I think making it available at whole foods or target would change the game for me. I would also love it the brand release syrups you can add to coffee and stuff too, so I wouldn't have to buy the Torani nonsense lol.

  • Honestly, people rave about this and I think it’s just alright. It’s a simple coffee concentrate to make a quick drink but think it’s on the bitter side and pretty pricey for what it is. You can get the same thing for cheaper at Trader Joe’s. It definitely comes in a great package and experience but the taste and price just didn’t hold up in my opinion.

    Taste and price

  • Not great. Would not re-order. Could see people adding it to smoothies seeking a caffeine kick.

    Feedback

    Taste.

  • I think the idea of Jot is great - convenient and easy. However, I found the caffeine amount to be a bit much for me personally and really didn't enjoy the taste. It serves as "get the job done" for me.

    Feedback

The flavor. It tastes a bit burnt - would love to see something different here.

  • It was good for what it was. It was slightly bitter after a while, but kept up for the most part. If you don’t plan to drink coffee everyday, it probably isn’t the best. But if you’re looking to make Red Eyes or using it everyday, I would recommend

  • Jot really did make my daily coffee consumption 10x more convenient and consistently delicious. This may sound ridiculously first world, but the minutes it shaved off the typical process for me ended up being the difference between getting through early meetings like a zombie vs being a caffeinated, somewhat awake human. Full disclaimer, I am not a coffee connoisseur but merely an avid consumer, and this was a valuable upgrade from my usual instant coffee. :)

It's a definitely expensive as part of an everyday routine, so there's that. I'd also love more ideas on how to potentially reuse and upcycle the empty glass bottles that are left once the coffee is done.

  • This is definitely strong and has a real coffee flavor. I’ve enjoyed it in the afternoons, with a splash of oat milk!

    Feedback

    Larger bottle would be great

  • I absolutely love Jot! I quit going to coffee shops; this is so much better! The quality is top notch, plus I'm on control of what I add, ie cream, sweeteners, etc. I originally tried Jot to make my own iced coffee (so yummy btw!) but this winter i discovered it is excellent hot, too! Toasted marshmallow and white chocolate are my favorite flavors, but I've also enjoyed every seasonal flavor I've tried so far, too. Also, I've only had to deal with customer service once over the past year. They were courteous, quick response, and it was easy to see that wanted to ensure I was happy with the service I received, as well as the products. It truly seemed like they take pride in providing a superior alternative to coffee shops and that they value their customers (which, honestly, how often do you find a company like that anymore?) Anyways, if you're debating trying Jot, in my opinion, go for it! Totally worth it!

  • The product works for what I bought it for. I work 12 hour shifts at a hospital with a long commute each way. The Starbucks bill was adding up and the coffee pot on the unit is less than appealing. If you’re looking for a quick cup of coffee that you can drink cold and a fraction of the price of buying out. This is for you. If you’re expecting decadences chose another product. I did a monthly subscription and it was more than I needed, changing to every two months was an easy process.

  • It's just so easy to make a Jot cup of coffee, that it's hard to rationalize doing it any other way. The versatility of being able to do both hot and cold at any time is fantastic, particularly during the summer months. On top of that, it always tastes great, with very little acidity in the Original.

    Feedback

The cost is ever so slightly higher than I'd normally go for, putting this in a "treat yourself" category vs. daily use. Also, more limited edition flavors or collaborations with well-known roasters could increase engagement.

  • I was eager to try Jot as a substitute to brewing my own coffee, particularly during the summer when I wanted iced coffee. It was definitely convenient, but did wow me in the way that Cometeer did, and the coffee's acidity made milk curdle.

    Feedback

A low-acidity version could be interesting (or something that just doesn't make milk curdle...).

  • Not a great taste - but just ok. The auto ship program is a joke. They send emails ahead of time to let you know a shipment will be up-coming HOWEVER when you open the email …. (In my case to cancel the shipment since I didn’t want it), it automatically sets to ship and you have no choice. I contacted them within seconds and they claimed “it already shipped”. Impossible to have been true. If you try it - just beware of their auto-shipment game '. Cancel immediately and order IF and WHEN you want to. Rude customer service reps complete their package. I don’t even know how they can be titled customer ‘service’. Good luck if you choose to sign up.
