One of my favourite beauty brands - almost everything I've tried from NYX has been long-lasting and great quality. Some of my favorites - their epic ink liner, the recently released lip oils, and their classic butter lipsticks! 10/10 would recommend!

    Merrell

I own two pairs of Merrell shoes and they have been the most durable and resilient of my collection! They are reliably comfortable, sturdy, and everyone needs one in their life.

Nespresso machines are one of my favorite gifts to give - they're easy on the eyes, easy to use, and reliably consistent in making good coffee. While a Moka pot or Chemex taste better, this is easier to use for most people, and I won't turn down a cup. :)

I've tried their lip liners and milky lip glosses - I really liked the look and feel of both! They have a pretty inclusive shade range, which I appreciate.

    The Ordinary

Ever since I stumbled into a skin-care rabbithole in 2020, The Ordinary has been one of my favourite brand discoveries. Their products are high quality ingredients offered at affordable prices - what's not to love? The one thing I would highly recommend new users do is to make sure they check the compatibility of their products from the Ordinary to see how they work together in a routine - you can do this on their website fyi! The reason I say this is because the Ordinary's offerings are often distinct ingredients that the user has to pair and create a routine around, instead of broader formulations like traditional skincare companies create. This puts some extra responsibility on the user - but for these prices and quality, it's well worth it I'd say! My favourite product has been their Alpha Arbutin serum - it helped fade my acne scars over a month.

I don't agree with their value proposition of adaptogens claiming to impact mood or mental focus - I've now tried their CBD line multiple times, and felt zero impact on either. I like their branding and packaging, but for me I think of this more as just an aesthetic looking flavored sparkling water brand; and there are cheaper alternatives that I would pick over these to fill that need.

    Supergoop!

The star product of Supergoop for me is their OG invisible formula - as a brown-skinned person, it is a relief to be able to simply use the product as intended as opposed to the average sunscreen which demands I massage my face for two minutes to blend the white cast only to achieve a somewhat ashen complexion. I don't really understand the hype behind their Superglow formula since it makes my combination oily face look a little too greasy for my liking; but to each their own!

    Everlane

I've always liked Everlane, but the moment I really fell in love is when I tried on their Utility Barrel Pants. They are quite possibly the most flattering fit I've ever encountered, as a pear-shaped woman - they have a lovely high-waisted cinch, are looser over the thigh area, and then taper into a straight, somewhat wide leg. They are essentially, incredible A-line pants. I bought two when I first tried them on, and a year and a half later, just bought two more in different colors. These are my daily go-tos, and have held up wonderfully - probably because of their thick, high-quality material. It's good stuff. Other products I've tried that I loved: their basic cotton mock-neck muscle tanks, and their Dream Pants, which btw do truly feel like sweatpants while passing off as business formal. 10/10 would recommend!

Their 'Throw It Higher' leggings were my constant go-tos for a sleek, tailored look that worked for all scenarios (day and night! casual and formal!) - I wore it constantly for over three years at which point one of the seams started to come apart (albeit in a very well-loved, well-worn way). The material is soft, silky, and super comfortable - 10/10 would recommend.

    I AM ON EDGE

Let me start off by saying that I love the premise of this game - asking deep and personal questions to get to know yourself and your friends better? Amazing! I overall like the broad range of prompts - that said, this game isn't lying about the 'on edge' part; there were quite a few cards that I ended up skipping because they didn't quite work with the groups of people I was with. I also didn't intuitively understand the game mechanics of how to use the 'reverse' cards, so ended up just playing it as I would a different social card game, such as WNRS.
