Reviews mention

  • Velvety, creamy texture
  • Inventive, distinctive flavors
  • High-quality, clean ingredients
  • Strong dairy-free options
  • Overly sweet for some palates
  • Inconsistent flavor intensity
  • Icy texture after refreezing
  • Rich, heavy mouthfeel

Jeni's Ice Creams wins praise in reviews for its ultra-creamy texture, inventive flavors like Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake, and Brown Butter Almond Brittle, and strong dairy-free/gluten-free options—so yes, the brand is good. Reviews also flag drawbacks: many find it very sweet and rich, inconsistently punchy by flavor, prone to freezer burn or iciness in pints, and expensive compared to alternatives.

  • My guilty pleasure. The lavender flavor is to die for and I could (and have) eat the whole pint in one day. It’s not heavy like Ben and Jerry’s or Haagan Daaz and it surely doesn’t lack in quality or flavor. Nonetheless, the cost for a single pint is what puts me off…and the weight too I guess lol

  • Jenni’s peanut butter and jelly flavor is incredible! There are so many dairy free ice creams out there that absolutely fall flat and make you feel like you’re getting punished for not being able to have dairy. Jenni’s brand does amazing, innovative flavors and when I’m having the dairy free version I never feel like I’m missing out!

  • I think it's a solid ice cream but since the market is so saturated with a million different options I would say it's not the best out there but a solid middle of the pack.

  • The Texas Two Step is the BEST dairy free ice cream out there. I am obsessed!!!

  • Jeni's is the real scoop of heaven! 🍦😇 If unicorns made ice cream, it would taste like this. 🦄✨ Flavors? More like flavor EXPLOSIONS! 💥👅 My taste buds had a party, and you're all invited! 🎉🎈 Seriously, if you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out on a creamy, dreamy masterpiece. 🍨💫 Jeni's, you had me at the first spoonful. 😍🥄

  • Jeni’s has so many fun flavors, and caters to people with many different dietary restrictions. They rotate flavors so each time you go they have different seasonal flavors, and they are very high-quality made with local ingredients.

  • It is just so good, lovely flavors. I bought the ice cream cook book for Jeni's and then quickly realized I would rather just buy their pints!

  • Jennis ice cream is so good and also such a great alternative to highly processed and unhealthy ice creams. I do think that this product would be even better if it was organic but definitely do think it’s worth it.

  • delicious in every way! Awesome flavors, natural ingredients so I feel good about splurging on it. Love the packaging too! And it doesn't get too hard or too icey like some others and the consistency is creamy and amazing.

  • Awesome, unique flavor varieties. Delicious, fresh made waffle cones too!

  • Jeni’s is one of my favorite ice cream brands - super high quality and creative flavors

  • The variety of flavors makes it so that there is something that everyone will love. If you have the opportunity to visit one of their scoop shops, don't pass on it!

  • fun, interesting flavors! honestly i’d recommend just going and trying a few different flavors to see what you like, because sometimes they’re not quite what you’re expecting. the pints are expensive, but i think it makes the ice cream feel even more like a special treat.

  • I think what makes Jeni's "splendid" to me is not only the ice cream but also the staff that works at Jeni's. They are such warm and friendly folk. Obviously, this can/may change depending on the location of the store. So, reverting back to the ice cream, I am a big fan of the darkest chocolate flavor at Jeni's. It is creamy, decadent, the right amount of sweet and a 100% superior to their milkiest chocolate flavor.

  • Some of my favourite ice cream flavours ever - especially Brambleberry Crisp! Docked a point off for price point because I do feel it's somewhat pricey for ice cream, but otherwise really tasty and absolutely worth a try, and I love the flavours enough to keep coming back to buy it.

  • I had to put rules in place in my family for buying Jeni’s because we bought too many pints too often…(like three pints every three days!) I love that the company has unique flavors that taste like what they are advertising. Usually there are heaps of whatever the flavor is. Like the birthday cake flavor not only tastes like birthday cake but has sprinkles and spoonfuls of cake inside. Also, the cows are grass grazed so you know the company cares about the quality of the ice cream, and it shows!

  • Solid ice cream! I’ve tried out quite a few flavors, and maple pancakes has made Jenis a memorable brand for me. I fear this flavor getting discontinued, as many of their flavors are also seasonal. Also compared to other ice cream brands at a similar price point, like Van Leeuwen, the flavors of Jenis tend to be more home-y (lot of cake/pie/fruit crumble flavors) yet elevated through premium ingredients. I enjoy both the scoop stores and the pints that you can purchase in grocery stores.
