Herbivore Botanicals is one of those brands that nails the aesthetic—their packaging is beautiful, minimal, and definitely shelfie-worthy. But when it comes to actual performance, the results can feel hit or miss. Some products deliver a noticeable glow and hydration, while others don’t quite live up to the hype or feel inconsistent over time. If you’re buying into the vibe and care about presentation, they’re a win, but if you’re after reliably effective skincare, you might find yourself reaching for other options more often.

Big fan of this brand and its aesthetic, particularly the blue lapis oil that I used during a facial once.

I bought a set of mini face oils and they all became my favorites. The Phoenix and Orchid oils smell divine. The soap bars are excellent both for the face and body. And the Coco Rose body scrub is excellent too. Would definitely continue using their products.

Really wanted to love the products... I even bought the travelling set for my wedding trip to Hong Kong. They just didn't work. Didn't really improve my skin conditions. But they are pretty to the eyes.

I've used many of their products and they've all been great for my sensitive skin.

While pricey, these are truly quality and ethical products. They felt great on my skin, I especially love their oils! The only catch with being all natural is they do have a very limited shelf life. If you're not using the product daily, stick with the smaller sized options. The oils have lasted me a long time, but some of the face masks and lotions have separated, become discolored or gone bad before I could finish them - for the cost that's always a bummer.

Herbivore is part of my favorite time during my skincare routine, relaxing and sculpting massage. Their jade roller and rose quartz gua sha, are two of my go-to tools; I keep them in the fridge for an extra refreshing feeling. The Lapis blue tansy face oil it's also great for massage and specific for acne-prone skin.

I absolutely love this brand's products and values, as well as their aesthetic. The products look beautiful and deliver results while having clean ingredients. Downsides is they are wayyyyyy too expensive.

I think these products are little overrated unfortunately. I love the packaging of course, but I don't think the product itself stands up. The ones I've tried have left me feeling oily and worse off than before I put it on.

I bought a few of their products after seeing so many people rave about this brand. I love their branding, and the skincare itself feel luxurious. My favorite products to use are their Blue Tansy mask and Lapis face oil.

I really like their jasmine green tea toner. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and soothed, and has a light, pleasant scent. I feel like it is helping to improve my pores without drying out my combination skin. It's one of the first toners in a while that I plan on repurchasing once I finish the bottle.

I love Herbivore! The products are really high quality and are offered at a price point that makes a lot of sense. Not to mention that the packaging of the products is amazing and they are a great clean beauty option! I love the Prism serum and mask!

I am obsessed with Herbivore serums. They are lightweight & not at all sticky, as well as pleasantly scented (while not being overly so). Definitely will be a repeat purchase.

I am a big fan of the prism AHA+BHA serum. It adds an instant plump and keeps my skin feeling smooth. I use it about once a week. The cloud jelly serum is another product I’ve found that I really enjoy. I have found another product that is about the same price with better results so I do not currently have it in my skin care routine.

OBSESSED with herbivore. I have super dry, reactive and sensitive skin and the Phoenix oil absolutely saved my life. I currently use their moon fruit serum, moon dew eye cream, pineapple face mask, coconut body scrub, coconut bath salts, jasmine body oil, pink cloud moisturizer (summer) and their cloud jelly serum. I can’t recommend this brand enough. Plus they’re completely clean and all of their bottles are glass.

I don't use any of the face skincare, but think that the body products (especially the amethyst scrub) are incredible. They are definitely a splurge and not something that you can use all the time, but they make some very luxurious self-care products. I love the brand story and their approach.

I’ve heard all the buzz around Herbivore Botanicals and figured I’d give it a try. I’m in my 50s, and these days I’m more mindful of what goes on my skin—natural, clean beauty sounds great in theory. But after trying several of their products, I’ve got to be honest: the experience didn’t live up to the hype. First off, the packaging is beautiful. It looks great sitting on a bathroom shelf—but pretty jars don’t mean much if the product inside doesn’t deliver. I tried their face oil and a few of the masks, and while they smelled nice (maybe a little too fragrant for my liking), I didn’t see much of a difference in my skin. In fact, the oil left me feeling greasy, and the masks were more of a mess than a treatment. No noticeable glow, no long-term benefit—just a lot of rinsing and hoping. I also had concerns about how quickly the products seemed to go bad. Without strong preservatives, I understand the shelf life might be shorter, but I expect more for the price point. Speaking of which—these aren’t exactly drugstore prices, and I expected higher performance from something that markets itself as both luxurious and effective. Clean beauty is a wonderful idea, and I applaud any brand that’s trying to be more conscious about ingredients. But Herbivore, in my experience, leans more toward style over substance. It might work for someone else but not me.
