Reviews mention

  • Striking, minimalist bottle design
  • Versatile, low-abv aperitifs
  • Fresh, botanical flavor profiles
  • Helpful, inspiring recipe cards
  • Inconsistent, muted flavor complexity
  • Overly floral, syrupy notes
  • Wine-like, watery mouthfeel
  • Best mixed, not enjoyable neat

Haus earns mixed-to-positive reviews: the aperitifs often taste fresh, botanical, and versatile with low ABV that suits spritzes and light cocktails, but several reviews criticize muted or wine-like flavors and occasional syrupy or overly floral notes. Reviews praise standout flavors like Lemon Lavender and Grapefruit Jalapeño, striking packaging, and recipe cards, while noting uneven flavor complexity and that many blends drink better mixed than neat.

  • I love aperitifs, and the story behind this product and the high quality drinking experience is unmatched. My go-to drink is usually Aperol, and this feels much less sugary and more natural. Worth the money and really fun to try something besides the usual spirits, spiked seltzer, wine, or beer.

It would be nice if they offered smaller bottles at a lower price point.

  • Haus is an amazing flavorful, fresh aperitif that has become a bar cart staple in our house. Variety of well-crafted flavors, low alcohol ABV, natural ingredients and gorgeous packaging. Clearly made with love.

It's so versatile, I'd love more exposure into how the community is drinking it - with what mixers, cocktail recipes etc

  • I did not really like this product! I ordered a variety of flavors and was excited to have an after-dinner drink that was low-sugar and low-calorie. One thing I did not expect is how wine-y all the flavors are. I knew wine was an ingredient, but I envisioned these tasting more like Campari, Aperol, or Italicus, and imagined the flavors in their names (Rose! Yuzu!) would be prominent, like the bergamot in Italicus. They ended up tasting a lot more just like... weird mediocre wines, and those notes like Yuzu fell into the background. My favorite was Bitter Clove, which is also the one where the clove flavor was most prominent.

I would revisit the marketing and packaging of this product – I felt a bit misled! I would maybe try packaging it like a fortified wine, and advertise the wine component more than the flavors, which are very subtle.

  • Love the idea behind this brand as I cut back on drinking. We had an issue where our cork got stuck and the customer service team sent us another bottle free of charge! I'm sad to hear that this company has shut down.

We found one of the flavors to be very sweet.

  • love this apératif! it's light + refreshing and pairs nicely with club soda or prosecco.

    more flavors!!

  • Great flavor and nice low ABV

    Flavor can get even better

    Invested in Haus
  • The packaging is amazing. It looks luxurious and makes for a great gift. The flavors weren't my favorite and the recipes didn't bring out the best of the flavors. I was expecting it to make a fun cocktail with natural ingredients but it may be more of a liquor replacement than cocktail mixer type.

    Feedback

The alcohol taste was heavy and overpowered other parts of the drink.

  • Beautiful product, that's the perfect gift for housewarming or holidays. I like the product itself as a change of pace from other standard cocktails, however I personally use it infrequently

    Feedback

I would love the products to come with additional info / guides (even if it's UGC) on how to make different drinks besides just on the rocks or spritz. Maybe that's better for future products, it would be great to have some recommended mixes

  • my tried and true gift of choice, lovely taste and flavor and packaging

  • As others have said, the design here is top notch. These bottles LOOK great. I got a variety sampler and found the actual drinking experience lacking. They tasted anemic; lacked the complexity that I'd be hoping for in an aperitif.

    Feedback

The cocktail "recipes" mainly seemed to be: drink it on the rocks, drink it with a little soda water.

  • I know some people don't really like Haus, but I personally love it. From the minimalist, clean, California-style packaging to the fresh taste, the brand always hits the spot. Grapefruit Jalapeno is my favorite flavor. Ginger Yuzu is tasty, but it's definitely more of an acquired taste. It's too much to drink by itself, for me.

  • Love the brand/branding/design/mission/founder, but...

...the products don't taste good, and looks/feels super watery. I love bitters and aperitifs A LOT, but none of the flavors I tried were something I would keep on my shelf. I brought it to a party and nobody wanted to take the leftovers home. :( Kin is far superior.

  • Horrible flavor…marketing scam

    Start from scratch over again…

  • Tried the Rose, Ginger Yuzu, and Citrus Flower, and did not like any of the flavors in any way. My friend manages one of the top restaurants in Los Angeles and she also said that she would never offer these at her location. We tried mixing them to try to make the flavors better but, alas, the remainder had to be dumped down the sink.

    Feedback

    Better flavors.

  • I love the bottles. They're so beautiful and such a nice addition to my bar cart. I have to say, the flavors all taste the same. Not a great experience and even when adding champagne, there's a weird aftertaste to all.

  • Great packaging, customer service was great too! I am not as big of a fan of a couple flavors as I would have hoped, but the are definitely worth a try!

  • I absolutely love Haus. I've tried almost every flavor with my favorite being Lemon Lavendar. I'm on the subscription plan now. Haus is absolutely perfect for when you're not looking to drink wine since the night may be early and you'll get sleepy, and perfect when you're not in the mood for harder mix spirits or mediocre seltzers.

Needs to ship faster. Last shipment took 2 weeks.

  • fantastic gift packaging - sent a bunch of the sampler kits as holiday gifts. fun flavors and great brand.

Received a free product from Haus
  • I tried Citrus Flower + Ginger Yuzu with Prosseco, sparkling water and lemon. Both flavors were super delicious and refreshing. I love the Haus brand and the founders' story, but the products are a little overpriced for the size of the bottle. Kind of overrated, but worth the try.

Competing brands are priced a little lower, and offer similar flavors/experiences. If the single bottles were priced $25-30, I would definitely order more. Overall, taste is great!
