  • Gentle sunrise alarm experience
  • Sleek, minimalist industrial design
  • Customizable routines and soundscapes
  • Kid-friendly light training cues

  • Wi‑fi-dependent core functionality
  • Limited free sound library

Hatch earns strong reviews for genuinely improving sleep routines with gentle sunrise alarms, soothing white/brown noise, and kid-friendly light cues, but app glitches, Wi‑Fi dependence, and paywalled content frustrate users. Reviews of Hatch highlight sleek, minimalist design and reliable nightly use across years and households, while noting intermittent audio dropouts, limited free sounds, and finicky tap controls—making it effective yet imperfect.

  • We have a two year old and I'm not sure we'd be okay without our Hatch. We travel with it. We religiously turn it on at nap and bedtime. We sometimes (as tired parents) forget and are saved from sneaking into our toddler's room to turn it on by the app, which instantly turns it on with one click even if we haven't opened the app in 5 months. We buy this for anyone who has it on their registry. (We have the OG Hatch, but love that they've come out with even more options since.)

We don't even want to experiment with sounds. The baby sleeps. We're happy.

  • I have the hatch rest and the hatch mini + we are OBSESSED. it’s a must have item for mamas

  • LOVE IT! wakes me up so gently everyday, many of my family members have them and love them

    More sound options

  • Love the sound machine night light. Perfect to grow with your child. Definitely helps toddlers learn to at least stay in bed/ room, which is a lifesaver.

  • I tried this product at my sister house and I absolutely loved it. I have a hard time waking up so waking up with a calm sunrise really helped instead of having the sun directly in my face.

    Feedback

The sound machine could be alittle louder.

  • While I originally really liked this product, I've found that I use it less and less overtime because I a.) don't like that you have to pay for nighttime stories/meditations beyond the one they give you b.) just end up relying on my phone's alarm

  • Hatch Restore 3

I would like to buy Hatch Restore 3 for waking up. They said it needs to connect with wifi 2.4kz. Can I use wifi from my mobile phone to connect with it?

  • I was hesitant to buy this because it's so much money for an alarm clock, but I received one as a Christmas gift and it's been awesome! I use the white noise functionality as well as the light alarm. The noise from typical alarm clocks scares me half to death, it's nice to just gently wake up to some light

  • I've had my Hatch alarm clock for over a year now, and it has really transformed my sleeping routine. I love how gently and peacefully it wakes me up each morning, and there are a ton of different sunrise color settings and wake-up sound settings to choose from. I also use it as a night light or to put on some restful red light before I go to sleep to help me wind down. Every time I travel and have to resort back to my standard phone alarm I honestly feel stressed out; I really love my Hatch!

  • I've been using the Hatch Restore for a few weeks now, and overall, I really like it. The design is sleek, and it blends in perfectly with my bedside setup. The sunrise alarm feature is a game-changer for waking up gently, and the range of sounds and light colors for winding down at night is impressive. That said, there are a couple of small things that could be improved. The app can be a bit glitchy at times, and it would be great if there were more customization options for the light intensity. Despite these minor issues, the Hatch Restore has definitely helped me build a better bedtime routine and wake up feeling more refreshed. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their sleep environment!

  • If I could give negative star, I would. I’ve got hatch second gen from my baby list on Amazon. With that said, I couldn’t just return it. For $90 it wouldn’t connect to my home wifi. They tried to “troubleshoot “, so apparently if you have a 5ghz wifi or use a secure password it won’t work, so just be aware. With newborn on hands, they wanted me to go through a lot of steps to “fix” the issue. It ended up connecting to my phone wifi, but not home WiFi. Experience overall was just annoying. Finally they accepted “return” without return and “shipped” a replacement. The tracking says “label created” for a month now and they just ignore any emails to support afterwards. So be ready to throw the money if it will not work. Annoying annoying annoying.

  • I have the hatch. It didn’t work for my little one. Unfortunately it has become an expensive night light

  • I have the Rest+ 2nd gen and was super skeptical it wouldn't live up to the mom-influencer hype, especially with a price tag close to $100, but the Hatch was one of the first product recommendations I've made to my friends as a new mom. The best feature is how portable it is. It's a lifesaver during nighttime diaper changes - we have it set up to shine red and play lullabies and it soothes my son immediately. I would recommend new parents add this to their "must-have" items on their baby registry.

  • i would DIE for our hatch sound machine. Sleep training was a breeze for baby 1 & 2!

  • I live in NYC and Hatch is essential for drowning-out the city noise outside my window. I sleep so much better with its calming rain/ocean noises. I'm a heavy sleeper and don't find its alarm clock super helpful, so unfortunately I have to continue relying on my phone. I've also yet to experiment with its meditation features, which I guess is part of the subscription? I probably wouldn't see the value in signing up for this. So, main purpose in my life is serving as a white noise machine :)

  • We can’t live without our Hatch. We have the gen 2 in my 9 month old son’s room and have been using it since the day he was born. Pretty straightforward to use, but the app could use some work - pretty basic functionality for the most part. I love that it is both a sound machine and a night light, and that I can control colors/volume/brightness from my phone without having to go into his room when he’s sleeping.

  • Could not live without this thing. Have used it every night since I bought it 18 months ago. The white noise is just what I need and the sunlight alarm ACTUALLY makes it easier to get up before the sun in the winter months.

  • LOVE my hatch alarm clock and the sound machine for my child's room. I also love that I am able to control everything from my phone. My mom even got one for her house for when my child stays over. I tell all my new mom friends about Hatch.

  • Batch is reliable and easy to use. Waking to a sunrise has been refreshing. The app and tracking capabilities are adequate.

  • My daughter has a hatch sound machine and we absolutely love using it in her room. She loves the night light and the white noise while I love the app features.
