The Hatch Restore is a well-made product. I used the original (purchased in September 2020) for about a year and a half. I didn't have the best sleep hygiene at the time and was living in a studio apartment; a combination of factors led me to not use the machine as much as I would these days. I didn't experience a noticeable difference in my sleep, but again, I wasn't the best candidate for the product at the time. I'm glad to see they offer the Restore 2 in a few colors and a new style. The product is overall very sleek and aesthetic, and can be placed in nearly any room without being an eye sore or visual distraction. The app was easy to use, too.

I bought the Hatch Restore 2 a couple of weeks after it came out and I like it so far. I've always slept with a fan on because I needed white noise to fall asleep to and the Rest feature fulfills that need. I love the Rise feature a lot more - it's way nicer to wake up to waves crashing or birds chirping than the iPhone alarm clock. The buttons on the Restore 2 also make it easier to shut it off and I like that upgrade over the Restore 1. I don't have the subscription so I wish there were even more options for the free sounds since the device is pretty expensive by itself.

I like that we can program specific settings for morning wake up, nap time and bedtime. We have separate sounds and colors displayed for bedtime and wake time to help babies start to differentiate. I love that we can control the settings for our separate hatch machines from the app.
Feedback
The Rest+ asks us to update DAILY. The pop up is a daily annoyance no matter how many times we’ve updated it never sticks. I’m not sure if there’s something wrong with our software, the machine itself works fine even when we ignore the countless messages.

Our family has been using Hatch for over 2 years now and we love the convenience of the product, the app and traveling with the device. The sound options are great as well as all the color options. We currently live in a small townhouse so it has been a lifesaver for nap time!!

Have one of the Hatch Rest + machines. Its been very reliable and good for using with small children. The customizable lights, sounds, and times are great for use over time as a child's sleep habits change. I really like all the adjustable features as it has been a tool that can grown with the kid, but I do not think it is perfect by any means.

Traveling with the Hatch Rest+ can be challenging because you need wifi to connect the Rest+ with your phone to run the programs. If you are traveling to a place with spotty wifi or connection challenges you are sort of screwed. Also, if you run the timed programs you can't make a change in the middle of the night, which can create a lot of problems if you need to make adjustments. The programs make you specify how long a particular light and color plays, rather than letting you select a time in the morning like a regular alarm clock. This sometimes create problems. Also, there is supposed to be a built in audio monitor, but it has never worked for me or anyone else I know who uses a Rest+.

We have a gen 1 Hatch Rest light and we’ve used it every night for the last 4 years with my son. It’s a great little device but it has a weird quirk that i really can’t figure out. With all the sounds that we use the most, the audio cuts out. The more we’ve used them, the more silence they hear is. It’s like the .wav is scratched or something even though that is made up nonsense. It’s such a weird issue.

I use the Hatch every night and morning for my kids, I love it! It helps them get into a nightg routinewhere they can wind down before falling asleep. My two year old went from having trouble sleeping to sleeping all night. I love that it wakes them up naturally with the light as they hate alarms.

The downside of this item is how much it costs. I feel like it can be more affordibly priced. Also suggest adding more songs. When trying to fall asleep its hard sometimes when hearing repetative songs.
