Is Hatch good? Based on user reviews, Hatch products generally receive positive feedback for their functionality and design, but they also have notable drawbacks. One strength highlighted is the customizable sunrise alarm, which many find to be a gentle and effective way to wake up. However, a significant weakness is the app-related issues, such as connectivity problems and the need for a subscription to access all features. These factors should be considered when deciding whether to purchase a product from Hatch.

The sunrise alarm is definitely expensive but I think it has improved my sleep hygiene immensely. It has allowed me to keep my phone outside of my bedroom and provides me with a sustainable and consistent evening and morning routine that I think has really improved my sleep and made me less tired.

The alarm clock has customizable sounds and sunrise settings. I have also used this as a night light. There is some room for improvement with the app - setting or deleting an alarm can be slow and it would be nice to have a feature where the nighttime routine automatically turns on.

I've had my Hatch alarm clock for over a year now, and it has really transformed my sleeping routine. I love how gently and peacefully it wakes me up each morning, and there are a ton of different sunrise color settings and wake-up sound settings to choose from. I also use it as a night light or to put on some restful red light before I go to sleep to help me wind down. Every time I travel and have to resort back to my standard phone alarm I honestly feel stressed out; I really love my Hatch!

I've been using the Hatch Restore for a few weeks now, and overall, I really like it. The design is sleek, and it blends in perfectly with my bedside setup. The sunrise alarm feature is a game-changer for waking up gently, and the range of sounds and light colors for winding down at night is impressive. That said, there are a couple of small things that could be improved. The app can be a bit glitchy at times, and it would be great if there were more customization options for the light intensity. Despite these minor issues, the Hatch Restore has definitely helped me build a better bedtime routine and wake up feeling more refreshed. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their sleep environment!
I love my Hatch Restore 2, it reallyyyyy helps me relax and wind-down. The sound library is really amazing, there are a ton of sounds to choose from and the colour ways are very customizable. The perfect bedside tool for someone who needs and values a good night sleep!
I got a Hatch a few weeks ago and I like it but it is a bit buggy. It doesn’t always turn the light on or do the right volume so it needs to be reset. I like the soft wake up and wind down but I wish it was a bit more of a cleaner user experience.
This product has sooo much potential. I'll start with what I love: red light at night plus soothing background noise such as light rain. (Once I'm actually ready to shut my eyes I turn the light all the way down but keep the white noise). In the AM, it's amazing to wake up to the "natural" sunlight paired with chirping birds (since I sleep with blackout blinds). That said, the app is SO finicky & continuously logs the actual device offline, leading to frustration/bad UX. The device itself I would give 5 stars if it weren't so reliant on the app.
Feedback
The app/device/wifi communication could use some serious improvement. I basically can't use 95% of the features because I've gotten so frustrated with having to reset it all the time, etc. I'd love to see less reliance on the app + more flexibility with the app. Eg: what if I want to listen to a meditation one day without going through setting up a whole routine? The "routines" idea is fun/unique but it feels limiting at the moment. Also, what if I wanted to play my favorite nighttime playlist on Spotify? Not possible. I get what they're trying to do with the recurring subscription revenue but I think that should come later once everyone falls in love with the device first (and once the app is more developed). Would also love to see a version that doesn't need to remain plugged in at all times.
Our family has been using Hatch for over 2 years now and we love the convenience of the product, the app and traveling with the device. The sound options are great as well as all the color options. We currently live in a small townhouse so it has been a lifesaver for nap time!!

Ease of use, goes well with any decor, well worth the money!
I cannot share enough about how happy this product makes me! Helps me start my morning routine on a positive note, no stressful alarm sounds, a bedtime routine — you name it! I love it!
This was on our top 5 for our baby registry and rightfully so. It is a life saver. This helped our son sleep as an infant and helped us sleep train him as a toddler. It made him for comfortable in his own room and bed. It’s easy to set up and turn on/off. We can adjust the brightness and the sound when ever we need and my fiancé can also access it on his phone too. Definitely worth it.

I wish there was an option for the one we have to play our own music.

My partner is a notorious snorer, and I had been using my phone for white noise at night, but it just wasn't cutting it. I tried the Hatch Restore 2, and it does a much better job of projecting noise than the phone. I also really enjoy the sunrise alarm feature. It gradually wakes me up, unlike the harsh alarms from my phone. My only issue was the price, but ultimately, I believe it was money well spent.

I purchased my first hatch “baby” machine when my daughter was born 3 years ago and we are still using it nightly for reading, ambient light & sleep sounds. I absolutely LOVE our hatch baby.
Feedback
This brand is an overall great quality brand. The products are sturdy, user friendly & high tech with mobile apps for seamless control of the devices using wifi/Bluetooth technology. Highly recommend especially if using as a parent for sleep training children.

We got the hatch rest sound machine for our baby and it has been a staple. I love how it can be used with or without the app, its easy to turn on and off, and its a constant for my child's sleep routine. We have tried other sound machines but this one has been absolutely worth the price.

It would be cool if it was chargeable, so that for travel it wouldn't necessarily need to be plugged in.

We bought this product six years ago when the twins arrived. And we loved it! We used it everyday for almost five years. We like the fact you can control the volume, brightness, and timer on the app from our phones. We would take it with us when we traveled with the kids. It’s a great product. Would definitely recommend.

We’ve had it for six years and the piece that plugs into the Hatch could use an upgrade. But other than that it has been great.

Still getting used to it so maybe my review will change. I don’t love the cue to go to bed. I do like that am wake up is a lot less jarring than your typical phone alarm. The lighting settings are a great feature.
I have heard amazing things about hatch. They are amazing with helping your sleep schedule and giving you overall better mental and physical health.
I got this for Christmas and mine already broke :(

We have three of these in our house - we love them! But as the older ones start to break down or lack features (like the digital clock), Hatch has priced themselves out of the market, as their feature set is no longer innovative and competitors have the same if not more features for a lower price. Their customer service is very friendly though. In summation, it's cool, but not worth the price.

I have the Hatch Restore 1, and as a night-owl who CANNOT wake up for the life of me - this product is a game changer!! I love the customizable options for the sunrise alarm and the sunset sleep aid. I do wish that the Restore 2 options were available to me (morning moments!) - for the price I pay (product + app subscription), I think it's only fair. Docking points for price - both the actual product and the app subscription (which is almost necessary to get the full use of the alarm).
