Reviews mention

  • High-protein, nutrient-dense pasta
  • Creamy, satisfying cheese sauces
  • Nostalgic, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Chic, memorable packaging
  • Occasionally bland, uneven seasoning
  • Sometimes overly salty taste
  • Sauce thin or coagulates cooling
  • Small, less-filling portions

GOODLES earns strong reviews for tasting like nostalgic boxed mac and cheese while adding meaningful protein, fiber, and veggie-derived nutrients; many praise flavors like Shella Good, Cheddy Mac, Twist My Parm, and Mover & Shaker and note easy prep and appealing packaging. Reviews also flag downsides: inconsistent flavor punch, occasional salty or bland notes, stomach discomfort from fiber, small portions, and sauce texture issues (thin or coagulating), with some saying it’s not markedly better than Kraft or Annie’s.

  • It took me a little while to really get into Goodles but it’s now my go to brand of Mac and cheese! Tasty and better than other brands

  • I'm usually not a big fan of mac and cheese but I saw this at Target and saw that it has 14g of protein per serving and I had to try it! I bought the Hatch Chile flavor and the only reason why I am giving it a 4 out 5 of is because I wish it had more cheese but it was so good and the right amount of spicy. I'm definitely going to be trying more flavors.

  • Plain and simple, Goodles is delicious. We've tried a bunch of different flavors, and the consensus across 2 adults and 2 kids, is that these are a hit. The in-store combination of the packaging - the food photography is on point, as are the vibrant colors - and 2 for $7 sale were enough to get me to try a couple of boxes and I'm glad I did. The non-sale price is a little higher than I'd normally pay for boxed Mac and cheese, but given how much my kids like it, it's worth a couple dollars more for the good stuff.

  • Love the packaging, ethos, and most of all the flavor.

  • I tried the regular flavor, it was alright but it had a weird aftertaste. I wouldn't repurchase.

  • OBSESSED. Tastes like Kraft Dinner but is high in protein and fibre? I'm sold. It's not a gourmet meal, but it is quick, easy and nutritious in a pinch. Also tastes great with a little broccoli and chopped tomatoes in the mix.

  • It’s not bad but there’s something off about it. It’s like carboardy.

    Make it taste better.

  • Twist my parm was the best flavor - the cheddar flavor was not as good.

  • Soo good! tastes exactly like regular store-bought mac n cheese (but better) and I was pleasantly surprised to see how many veggies they packed into each box. Would love a non dairy/ vegan friendly option!

  • I bought these during Thingdrop #7 at a pretty steep discount and I will say I didn't have high hopes. BUT I AM IN LOVE. So cheesy, orange, delicious. I often find that alternative pastas have really odd consistencies, but Goodles' noodles were on point. The pasta itself tastes "normal" and has a nice consistency. I really like the cheese powder too. It's really orange. I only tried the "Cheddy Mac" because I like a classic mac and cheese, but could see myself buying it again, maybe even trying another flavor.

  • We love a product that can make you feel good after eating an otherwise indulgent meal. I tried the variety pack and have been quite satisfied with the 2/4 flavors I've tried thus far -- the Mover&Shaker and the Twist My Parm. The texture is perfect, which is important when it comes to making a classic food item from nontraditional ingredients. The flavors are strong -- would absolutely pick these over Kraft any day. And although great branding shouldn't influence a review of something you eat rather than wear, the Goodles aesthetic is too good not to point out.

  • Goodles is such a great alternative to overly processed boxed macaroni and cheese. The flavor and smooth texture are amazing and it has so many added nutrients due to the natural ingredients.

  • actually so good and loved the higher protein compared to other mac and cheese!!

  • Who doesn’t love mac and cheese? I was thrilled to try Goodles, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The flavor, taste, and texture are absolutely spot-on—creamy, cheesy, and oh-so-comforting. On top of that, the hilarious names and eye-catching box designs make the experience even more fun. What really won me over, though, is the protein content and clean ingredients. It’s comforting to know I’m enjoying a classic favorite that’s also better for me. Goodles has definitely earned a permanent spot in my pantry—highly recommend!

  • I finally picked up a box of Goodloes when I noticed their new flavor, the Gluten Free Cheddy Mac. It was not bad, and with a nice little protein bonus! A bit salty if anything, but a passable GF/DF alternative for blue box in a pinch.

  • Great higher protein alternative to regular pasta. I tried the plain pasta but I’m looking forward to trying the mac & cheese flavors.

  • I love their vegan cheddar noodles they are pretty good.

  • Huge fan of Goodles! Love to have these on hand for when I want a quick meal and not feel bad about the quality of ingredients. I enjoyed these before having kids and now enjoy them even more knowing I can share these with my little one's and know they're getting protein and fiber in their meal. The taste is good, not quite exactly like the blue box brand we're all familiar with but I don't expect it to be a direct comparison given the nutrient benefits. I was elated when I saw we had these at my Costco! Couldn't add to my cart fast enough.

  • A good staple that’s a healthier alternative to other boxed mac and cheese.
