Fly by Jing delivers bold, versatile Sichuan-inspired condiments that, according to reviews, elevate everything from eggs and noodles to dumplings—Zhong Sauce and the OG Sichuan Chili Crisp draw repeated praise for layered umami, balanced heat, and everyday usability. Reviews also flag notable drawbacks: some find the chili crisp too oily, less crispy or milder than expected, with occasional smoky bitterness and jar leakage—plus comparisons to Lao Gan Ma or Momofuku on flavor and spice—and some mention inconsistent crunch and a need to stir.

This is one of my favorite condiments! I like to add it to noodles or rice dishes. Sometimes I’ll roast a sweet potato and have it with that. It’s a really rich flavor- layered and complex. I did expect it to be a little spicier but maybe I eat too many spicy things.

I tried the extra spicy sauce but didn’t find it too spicy. Overall a great brand though!

The chili crunch oil is so so good! Slightly numbing and so flavorful. I use it on potstickers, ramen, or I’ll mix it in a sauce with soy sauce and rice wine vinegar. So so good. The xtra is the same but a with a bigger kick! I go through them so fast

good asian taste, but too expensive.

I purchased the Zhong sauce. My store did not carry the Sichuan Chili Crisp (or maybe it's out of stock!) I was expecting it to be spicier but it did not meet my expectation. I think the Sichuan Chili Crisp is spicier and would like to try that next. I like that this brand does not contain preservatives, so I will consider purchasing some more (in other flavors) in the future.

I love a bit of spice and was looking forward to trying this product. I have to say, this is my absolute favorite on an egg over medium. It gives just enough kick without being over-powering!

Adds great flavor to our homemade ramen that we make. Has simple ingredients, however, I wish they used a better quality oil instead of seed oils.

I am obsessed with the Zhong sauce!! I put it on my avocado toast or eggs. It is the perfect sauce for literally anything. Its sweet smoky and spicy. I love it.

i bought this on sale at a local grocery store. i've been using lao gan ma for years so to me that brand is like white bread. this is like, aldi's artisanal bread in comparison to lao gan ma. It's kind of bitter, but not in the sichuan peppercorn kind of way, more in an actual bitter way. i do like that it tastes like a local restaurant made it rather than coming from a factory. ITS SUPER OILY. Like secretes oil. The shape of the jar makes it so the oil extremely easily slides down and leaves an orange ring in the fridge, more than other chili oils. it's gentrified lao gan ma, not bad but it just isn't really worth the price point to me. the packaging is really cool. i think this would be a good product for millennials.

Fly by Jing is simply outstanding. Unbelievably flavorful, goes with everything. Because of the chili crisp, one of my go to easy dinners is now eggs + rice + veg with chili crisp on top. I always have this on hand.

This is a great quality chili oil. It's not so spicy it's painful but it adds a nice kick. So far I've eaten it with some roasted veggies and some gyoza. I'm looking forward to adding it to some sauces as well. The glass jar is really nice quality too.
