Reviews mention

  • Sophisticated, subtle fragrance profile
  • Fast-absorbing, hydrating lotions
  • Weighted, ergonomic razor handle
  • Easy cartridge replacement system
  • Quick-dulling razor blades
  • Flimsy head attachment mechanism
  • Awkwardly large razor head
  • Residue-prone waxing strips

Flamingo earns mixed reviews: its lotions and shaving cream consistently impress for silky, fast-absorbing hydration and refined, subtle scent, while the razors and wax strips deliver uneven results. Reviews praise close, non‑irritating shaves for many and sleek, weighted handles with easy cartridge swaps, but cite frequent dulling, rusting, flimsy heads/attachments, awkward head size for ankles, poor holder suction, and wax strips that leave residue or miss hair.

  • I’ve really liked using my Flamingo razor! I got it from Target and it seems to glide very well. It has given me some ingrown hairs and red bumps, but every razor has that I’ve used.

  • Really great quality. Easy to find in store in Canada. The shop starts with the letter S.

  • Gave me cuts and ingrown hairs. Liked the ease of the subscription, but just did not work for me.

  • While I don't love the razors, the flamingo body lotion and body cream are amazing. The scent is sophisticated, unfussy, like something you would smell in a fancy hotel. The lotion and cream are amazing. They keep my body hydrated and moisturized without being sticky. Putting on lotion used to be such a chore for me. I dreaded waiting for it to dry before putting on my clothes, but now I can get dressed without issue. The lotion is a great price at $9.99 and love that I can just pick it up at Target. The packaging, scent, and texture make it feel like an affordable luxury.

  • I’ve tried the wax strips and the razor. The wax strips were better than other ones I’ve tried, I really appreciated the scalloped edge which made it easy to separate the strips and the fact that you didn’t have to warm them up in your hands. Easy to find in CVS

I wish the strips came in more sizes, I find myself cutting the strips to fit

  • The razor colors and product packaging is super cute, but I wasn't a fan of the razor. I used one for about a year and the head always detached while I was in the middle of using it and the razor blades often got rusty way quicker than I thought they should.

Better razor handles/head attachment and better quality blades

  • Huge fan of their razors, and they're the only ones I've used for the past year. I love the weighted handle and the fact that I can buy new cartridges instead of an entirely new razor.

    Feedback

I wish there were more colors for the handle!

  • Razors are comparable to Billie and other similar brands. LOVE the shaving foam - it's the most foamy, protective, and soothing of all the brands out there that I've tried. I've only tried the lotion beyond the shaving foam and razor, and I don't feel strongly about it.

    No major complaints

  • The razors gave me a rash after a few uses, felt cheap and didn't work well with my skin. Too bad because they do look nice.

  • they're great razors. i have pretty thick hair so i feel like I go through razor heads quite rapidly but these last for a month or two for quick shower touchups.

packaging is a bit too much

  • I have used the Flamingo waxing strips and have had mixed experiences with them. They were not effective at removing hair around my bikini line at all. Just left more of a waxy mess. But when I did use them on my upper lip/eyebrow area the strips worked great. So maybe certain hair density works better than others? The strips also left behind a lot of wax that I had to clean with the wipes. I'm not sure if I would buy these strips again.

Include more post-waxing cleaning wipes in the boxes. Or include smaller wipes, but more of them? I used all of the wipes up before I used up the wax strips.

  • This razer made my skin break out horribly unfortunately. I also tried their wax strips and they didn't work as well as the tried and true NADS products.

  • I would be the first to admit that the razors aren't the best out there. The handles lack much grip and the blades and build quality could simply be better. They DO work quite well on days I'm having bad flares though, since it's a bit less close of a shave than some - I have disabilities and eczema, and was incredibly happy to have discovered this option. They are also PERFECT for the underarms, which none of the other subscription companies that work for my legs are able to work for in the least - my skin would always get SO irritated shaving there, or have giant missed areas, and this razor has been a true blessing on that front. An affordable one too. The heads are also super easy to remove/replace, even when one has fine motor control and vision issues, and that is really important for me. The shaving cream that defaults to being included in the subscription is also quite decent. I always use it when using the razor, and it makes a tangible difference in how my skin reacts. The AMAZING part of this company is the Daily Moisturizing Lotion though. It's perfect. My skin loves it, and so I love it. It's a fair bit heavier and thicker than one usually sees from these companies, with good moisturizing power, a pleasant scent, a very nice and smooth texture, and a really nice absorbency into the skin. And, NO reaction whatsoever. I never thought I'd see the day. Here I went through life gauging lotions as acceptable and even decent if they caused only minor itching or irritation, and here one comes along that I can use like literally everyone else without it being a special sensitive skin/eczema fragrance-free boring formulation - incredible! I would order far more of it far more often, except budget is kind of an issue.

  • I’ve been so happy since switching to my Flamingo razor. The reasonably priced refills are a plus, while the chic colours help too.

  • THE. BEST. RAZORS. I’ve used so many brands, women’s AND men’s, and these are the closest, safest shave I get. Absolutely worth the money.

  • the razors are just fine. they’re pretty and look good in the shower, but otherwise are really just okay. the first use is a close shave, as you would expect, but after that every flamingo razor head i’ve had has rusted and gotten dull very quickly. i was buying flamingo because it was cheaper than other brands, but ended up being almost as expensive with how many heads i had to buy.

  • I have been loving their razor with replacable head. While they seem like most other basic razors out there, they perform much better for me. I like that they don't have soapy stuff in the head and they give me a very close shave without irritating my skin. I think they're priced perfectly for a good, basic replacement head as well. I used to jump brands and varieties of razors to avoid irritation, even tried a straight blade and home hair-zapping device. I have stuck with these for quite a few months now.

  • Hand lotion is AMAZING. Really because it works really well in high humidity AND cold / dry months. It’s not heavy, smooth spread, subtle scent, decadent moisture - I believe I got it at a target checkout on a whim for my car. I use it on my arms, legs, elbows etc. and I will be repurchasing.

  • Honestly this has been my least favorite razor. I wanted to try it, because the packaging was cute and I was in search for a new razor. It cuts my legs up and really irritates them even with cream and using hardly any pressure. It also leaves stubble on my legs making me feel like I didn’t even really shave them. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this product.
