DEUX earns polarized reviews: many find it genuinely delicious and satisfying—especially chocolate-driven flavors like Brownie Batter, Space/Cosmic Brownie, Mint Chocolate Chunk, and Birthday Cake—while critics cite off tastes (oat/chickpea notes), weird aftertaste, and dense or oily textures, particularly in Chocolate Chip and some baked results. Reviews praise its vegan, gluten-free, clean-ingredient credentials and spoonable, raw-or-bake versatility, but note flavor inconsistency, occasional heaviness/sweetness, and nut (cashew) limitations.

They're doing something right. The branding, customer engagement on social, influencer partnerships/celeb placements, collaborations (hello summer fridays!) and press features are so engaging and appealing. Picked up the chocolate chip at Erewhon and while it definitely tastes like 'healthy cookie dough' (the cashew vibes were strong), you can eat the whole jar guilt-free straight out of the fridge with a spoon. Didn't try them baked but if they're good raw, they can't be bad baked!

SO good! I love taste-testing functional food products and DEUX did not disappoint.
bought at whole foods and very good for a quick snack!
By reading other reviews, I’m wondering if I just got a bad flavor. However, I tried the birthday cake flavor and I really did not enjoy it. I felt it had a weird underlying fake taste that wouldn’t go away.
OBSESSED W THIS BRAND. Wish it was cheaper
Tastes dreamy and won't make you fat! The brownie batter is to die for.

I wish I liked this more - the packaging is nice and the flavors are interesting. But it’s just not sweet enough to really satisfy me! I bought the s’mores, cosmic brownie, and the chocolate donuts. I’ve tried baking the s’mores - it was ok, I want to try baking the brownie too as I think that’s the best. But it’s not really something I reach for when I want something sweet - in all honesty I don’t think I would purchase again.
I love this brand and what they’re trying to do but I didn’t love most of the flavors and got tired of them
oh DEUX... where to begin... I first spotted you at Fresh Market and felt a fire in my heart! I was thrilled to try the birthdate cake cookie dough and to be so honest I was not impressed. I was saddened because I WANTED to love. However, that story became rewritten a few years later when I sampled the space brownie flavor at a trade show. I wanted to do a backflip and cry it was so delicious. Redemption can be so beautiful!
I'm tried a couple flavors now and some are better than others. I personally didn't like the chocolate chip cookie dough. I've tried other brands I like more. I did love the salted peanut butter cup. It's absolutely delicious. Kinda bummed it's a limited drop flavor though. The chocolate glaze donuts are insanely delicious! Can't get enough. I do find the bags are a little small for the price.
I have a sweet tooth, but want to stay healthy and this is the perfect thing for one I want a little something sweet. It taste exactly like cookie dough and you don’t need too much to satisfy yourself. I find that one container will ask me a decent amount of time and it’s perfect for those moments when I want a sweet treat.
Expensive for what it is; I personally didn't LOVE the flavor and felt it didn't give me the same satisfaction as regular cookie dough. That said, it IS a much healthier alternative.

The flavors are great and the packaging/marketing is top tier. I don’t know if it’s necessarily worth the price tag. some of the “superfoods” incorporated are too negligible to justify the perception of being a tasty vehicle for good-for-you ingredients
Love Deux (and they have awesome customer service). Most of the flavors I’ve tried have been delish - I’m partial to the chocolate-based ones - but there is an occasional miss for me. Over all, I’m a fan and I appreciate the funny emails!

DEUX cookie dough is a high-end indulgence that comes at a price - a steep $16 per 12oz container. While this cost may be a deterrent for some, the quality and nutritional value of the dough make it worthwhile for those looking for a truly premium treat. Just be prepared to splurge a bit to satisfy your sweet tooth.
I have always been a cookie dough fan and love that I can now pick up DEUX during my normal grocery run to have a scrumptious sweet treat that can be safely eaten raw and has some protein. I tried the Cosmic Brownie flavor recently and thought it tasted exactly like a slightly undercooked brownie (it was even better when I warmed it up in the microwave for 30 seconds). I'll definitely be re-purchasing.
tastes great, havent baked the dough

Deux is a fun product, and they are incredibly inclusive, given they are vegan and gluten-free. They make great gifts because of that. I prefer to eat it straight out of the jar with a spoon.
Amazing brand. Tastes delicious, is made with great ingredients and features cool collaborations.

A little pricey
I would give this a 4.5!! I really only eat this raw and have cooked it a few times, and the cookies turn out great. I think the formula has come a long way, and the only reason I didn't give it a 5 is that sometimes I can taste the chickpea flour a little too much in certain flavors. However, this is the best raw cookie dough on the market, in my opinion. I love the birthday cake flavor and think it is really smart of the brand to partner with different influencers on unique flavors. I need to try the hazelnut spread!

I'm curious about what baked cookies from this brand would taste like and how they would resonate! Or, I'm thinking about how I could eat this snack on the go..maybe a cookie dough bar? Sometimes I want to grab this as a snack during the day but don't want to bring the entire jar.
