  • Inconsistent flavor execution
  • Occasional overly strong pineapple

De La Calle! earns strong reviews as a flavorful, refreshing tepache that often outshines kombucha—praised for vibrant, spicy-fruity flavors like Tradicional (pineapple spice), Mango Chili, Watermelon Jalapeño, Ginger Manzana, Tamarind Citrus, and Grapefruit Lime. Reviews also flag inconsistency across SKUs (some bitter, overly spicy, or too sweet), occasional strong pineapple notes, and a few reports of stomach discomfort, so flavor choice matters.

  • This are shockingly delicious. This bev needs to be more mainstream asap.

    Feedback

    nothing. really amazingly delicious.

  • The flavors are pretty good, and honestly this was not too sweet which I really loved! There are so many different bubbly drinks, but I love that this was a twist in modern Mexican sodas. The flavors are on point, and love that it's a fermented beverage.

  • The perfect amount of spice

I used to make my own Tepache at home, and would add habanero for some kick. After finding the De La Calle Tepache at Whole Foods, I haven't felt the need to go through the trouble of fermenting a batch of my own. It's good stuff-- and makes a great light cocktail when split 50/50 with a lager.

  • If you're looking for a hipster and convenient way to try a very traditional and rundown Mexican beverage, this might be the one for you. In my experience, non-industrialized tepache has mostly nothing to do with a drink like this one. The only two things I see are similar is that they use fruits that ferment easily -such as pineapple- and that the result has some fizziness in it. Other than that, you'll drink a gentrified version of traditional tepache. I'm no one to judge if that's a good or bad thing, as it depends of what you were trying to get out of this product.

  • I wanted this to be more like traditional kombucha, but its usually too sugary for me. I wish it had more funk and was better for you.

  • I visited Oaxaca this year and tried many traditional tepaches and honestly believe these have a better flavor while still being super authentic tepaches. I love that I can taste Mexico in this drink! The only flavor I wouldn't buy again was the Chamoy as it was pretty sickly sweet. The tamarind flavor is especially delicious as a mixer with tequila or chasing with a mezcal.

  • This is my favorite drink company ever. I love every flavor, and the branding is fantastic.

  • Last summer I discovered Tepache and haven' t looked back. Fermented pineapple rind is where it's at. Not too sweet, all the flavors are fun and spicy. I think mango chili is my favorite but I like so many of them that it's fun to switch it up. So glad I'm seeing them in more and more stores.

  • This is one of my new favorite drinks. I'd never had tepache before. While I'm sure a fresh/homebrew is even better, this really hits the spot. If you like kombucha or probiotic sodas like Olipop, you'll love this! Oh, and the mango chili flavor isn't actually spicy, so don't be scared to try it.

It's a little pricey, but that's expected with this kind of product.

  • Tried it once and really loved it. Would definitely purchase again if I came across it

  • Had never heard of Tepache before and was a little skeptical, but now this is one of my favorite drinks. The flavors are amazing! And love the branding and look of this one.

Wish it was available at more places.

  • Love their unique flavors! I feel like I'm traveling when I take a drink of de la calle.

    Feedback

Some are too spicy for me on empty stomach.

  • Picked these up as a mixer for some tequila cocktails and it did not disappoint! It was a great addition to a cocktail and also to have on it's own. The packaging is eye catching and the flavors are unique in comparison to other items like it. I would like to try more flavors.

  • I love kombucha, and this is relatively similar but a bit less vinegary. The pineapple flavor is pretty strong but delicious.

  • Every single flavor is an absolute joy. They are unique but delicious.

    Nothing!

  • I was, unsurprisingly, drawn in by the can design. Bright, fun, exactly the sort of thing I'm called to reach for while waiting in line at my local grocery store on a hot summer day. Favorite flavor so far is the watermelon jalapeno. There's just so many new beverage brands right now, and this feels unique among them — a type of beverage I'd never had. Unique flavor overall, unique flavors in terms of SKUs.

Could be just slightly cheaper? I have no issue with these though, they're great.

  • All the flavors I have tried are really tasty. My favorites are the grapefruit lime and the watermelon jalapeño.

    Feedback

A little on the expensive side.

  • These things are so tasty. They are sweet but not sugary, if that makes any sense. I pretty much always buy them when I see them. The ginger manzana is my favorite.

  • I've tried a couple of flavors (a mango, and a tamarind) and these are a great taste. Excited to try some of the other flavors soon, and keeping a few of these on hand for the summer.
