Somebody tell me why I was feeling intimidated by Byredo in the past? Sometimes fragrances can feel overly complex and give me a headache. I actually really like their fragrances... at least the ones I picked were easy to wear and not too strange for my basic nose. I picked up the Bal d'Afrique since it was the most popular one and I can wear it every day. I love myself a fancy handsoap for my guests so felt that Yuzu Tree would be easy to please. I also got the eyeshadow palette in which itself is like a piece of art. Very happy with the colors. I liked that it was "corporate colours" but has some fun shimmer too. Shipping was literally around the busy holiday season and I was provided immediate notice that it would be running a little late but honestly I didn't even notice it being delayed at all. Lastly, I got to pick two samples - La Tulipe and Blanche. I think Blanche will be my next purchase!

Undoubtedly byredo falls under the category of luxury nice-to-haves, but absolutely no one needs them! The scents are unique (not the most unique) but certainly not dupe-able and having a statement hand soap feels like a little luxury! The packaging is nice and the samples they send along are nicer than most places. However, I’m disappointed in how long it took to get to me (an item was sold out) without any explanation! I had to reach out and inquire about my order. I do expect a more elevated (and transparent) communication from them! Overall, I did blind buy a few hand washes because you really can’t go wrong with byredo but for a perfume, definitely go in store and see which one feels most you!
