Somebody tell me why I was feeling intimidated by Byredo in the past? Sometimes fragrances can feel overly complex and give me a headache. I actually really like their fragrances... at least the ones I picked were easy to wear and not too strange for my basic nose. I picked up the Bal d'Afrique since it was the most popular one and I can wear it every day. I love myself a fancy handsoap for my guests so felt that Yuzu Tree would be easy to please. I also got the eyeshadow palette in which itself is like a piece of art. Very happy with the colors. I liked that it was "corporate colours" but has some fun shimmer too.
Shipping was literally around the busy holiday season and I was provided immediate notice that it would be running a little late but honestly I didn't even notice it being delayed at all.
Lastly, I got to pick two samples - La Tulipe and Blanche. I think Blanche will be my next purchase!
Byredo makes beautiful products, but at that price point, they should… I think it’s great for giving gifts, but I don’t think it’s fully worth the price point. The soap is nice, but I wouldn’t rebuy it.
I learned about Byredo while traveling in Copenhagen a few years ago. I got Blanche because the salesperson told me it would be a good “clean” scent like what I’d been smelling on everyone throughout the trip. Unfortunately, the scent has a bit of a sharp component that bothers my nose, and it doesn’t last very long. I also got a Gypsy Water roll-on and I like that scent, but it’s more for nighttime.
Have been a fan of Byredo's Gypsy Water, Mojave Ghost and Sundazed for a few years! They are classics that I always come back to daily. My one problem is they no longer sell Sundazed, it is MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SUMMER SCENT! So if you see it, buy it!

There’s something soft and intimate about it without being boring, and it never overwhelms the room. It’s the kind of fragrance that works year-round and somehow feels personal, like it becomes part of you rather than wearing you. Subtle, elevated, and quietly addictive.
Mojave Ghost is similar as Gypsy Water and it is why I love them both in the roller making it easy for effortless travel. It feels effortless and elegant every time I wear it. It has a soft, airy vibe that’s fresh but not sharp, and then settles into a warm, slightly woody floral that’s clean without being too sweet. There’s a subtle powdery quality that makes it feel cozy and comforting, but still modern and unique. It’s the kind of scent that works whether you’re heading to brunch or out at night—understated but definitely memorable.
UPDATE JANUARY 7, 2026: I also purchased the OUD Immortel to try and Yuzu Tree hand wash. Both of these scents new to me and not compatible. As i worked with customer service to return it has been a 2 week back and forth battle. I'm literally returning in the same condition I received. Plastic still on the hand wash bottle, never opened and the Oud in the condition received. However, I did not know there was supposed to be a seal on the perfume so they are not allowing me to return, EVEN THOUGH THAT IS HOW I RECEIVED IT. At this point, Im exhausted with the back and forth and will not be purchasing through them again.
