Blueland impresses in reviews for delivering effective, low‑waste cleaning—dishwasher tablets, foaming hand soap, toilet tabs, and laundry routines often perform as well as conventional options with lighter, pleasant scents and compact, plastic‑free refills—so the brand is good for everyday cleaning. However, reviews flag inconsistent cleaning strength for heavy messes (glass cleaner streaks, dish powder and some sprays underperform), dissolving issues with laundry tabs, and widely reported failures of plastic “forever” bottles, pumps, and sprayers.

I love the mission, but don’t love the product fully. The plastic spray bottles broke so easily and one of my soap bottles also broke super quickly. The price mark up is also silly.
Cleaning products worked well - definitely on par with nontoxic cleaners from the grocery store - and I like the reusable bottle idea. However, the plastic used in the bottles themselves are extremely fragile and prone to breaking. Mine made it a few uses before they were inevitably dropped or knocked off a counter which was enough to shatter the plastic and make them unusable. I had the full set of cleaning sprays and this happened to all of them. Disappointed as it kind of renders the sustainability aspect of the brand moot if the bottles are constantly breaking...I would repurchase, but not until the bottles themselves are improved.

I love Blueland! But some of it... The laundry pods, dish hand soap, and multi-purpose cleaner are one-hundred and are very clear winners for me. I think the dishwasher pods and glass cleaner could be improved, both for the same reason. It leaves a white cast and residue on both mirrors and glassware. I'm excited to try the new sponges and towels.

I had both Blueland versions. I went through five sets of bottles during 1.0, they just constantly broke for no reason at all. It was so wasteful which made me rethink the brand and their mission. But after 2.0 bottles, I can say we've been five months strong with no bottle breaks.
Missed the mark for me :( ❤️ love the mission ❤️ love the branding 👎 product did not clean as well as traditional cleaners or in comparison to other “clean/sustainable” products.

One of my favorite purchases of 2020- and a top gift for friends, family, housewarmings, and staying as a house guest. I have purchased the basic set and refills of the hand soaps. The products work well for natural market- similar to Mrs. Meyers in efficiency. They all have great smells (including good seasonal fragrance) and wonderful to be able to reuse the bottles. Also great aesthetic situation compared to other ugly cleaning bottles!

Be careful about where you store your tablets, make sure it is very dry because they can expand then become impossible to put in the bottle. Additionally- I did not expect them to take so long to dissolve... usually need at least an hour + to fully dissolve. I often leave them overnight. My brother has shattered the glass hand soap bottle twice (likely user error) but worth considering for small sink setups.
These work so well and are great for the environment
I love the ethos of this company in minimizing waste. I currently use the laundry pods and find them a great cost effective and high quality product!
Great concept but the bottle gets stuck all the time when you want to spray
I love the concept of their products, but sometimes they are just inferior at cleaning than cheaper but less sustainable brands at target. I will continue using all of them except the glass cleaner, which still leaves streaks.
I have tried several of their products and while I’m not a fan of the scent they are efficient cleaners. As far as the bottles they break very easily after a few uses.

I've tried a lot of the Blueland products and some are better than others. I think they were early in the market of tablets and reusable bottles but now there's many competitors who do quite a few of the things better. My biggest complaint is the bottles. The spray bottles are still plastic and have a seam near the shoulder of the bottle which is a weak point in the design. My bottles have all broken at that point with very little use. The sprayers don't hold up great and quit working pretty quickly as well. The hand soap pumps don't last well either and I really dislike the embossed logo on the top where grime from dirty hands cannot be wiped away and I have to get a little brush to clean it out. Regarding the cleaning products I like the foaming hand soaps and the multi use spray cleanser but not a big fan of the dishwasher or laundry tablets that, I agree with others, don't clean super well and often don't dissolve completely. I've used their products for a few years now but the shipping for just some hand soap tablets doesn't really seem worth it.
I wanted to really like this brand and their products, because I'm a fan of their eco-friendly mission, but the products were just okay overall, with some big winners and some big losers. Dish soap & Dishwasher tablets—these are the winners for me, out of the products I've tried. Easy to use, gets the job done. Sometimes the dishwasher detergent just doesn't quite seem strong enough to get off particularly tough food, but the dish soap and a little elbow grease does the trick. Scrub sponge—the scrubby side is awesome, and I love the use of natural fibers. But it detached from the pop-up sponge side pretty quickly. Honestly, I wish I could just buy the scrubby part alone—the pop-up sponges are soooo slippery when wet! Cloud Cloth—works just as you think it would, but I personally prefer more festive designs you can find elsewhere. Laundry tablets—the biggest let down. These will not melt all the way (even when you break them into pieces, to try to increase their surface area-to-volume ratio), leaving a white residue on my clothes. I definitely will switch to something else... Cleaning sprays—these are fine! No problems, but nothing to rave about either.

I'll be turning to other brands when I run out of my supply.
I'm on the fence about these! I bought the entire cleaning kit (bathroom, kitchen and mirror). I think the Mirror undeniably works and I like to use the kitchen clean to wipe down my counters because I don't want hard chemicals on surfaces where I prepare food. I didn't lovvveee the bathroom cleaner. But now that Blueland is sold at the container store, I might double up on tablets to see if that makes me feel like it's really cleaning deep because with one tablet, I feel like it's great for surface cleaning but not deep cleaning. Edit: THE TOILET BOWL CLEANING TABLETS ARE EVERYTHING! I'm obsessed with dropping them in the bowl, pivoting to another task like cleaning a mirror, and coming back to the dissolved tablet and scrubbing clean. It makes it easy, I don't feel light headed from too many harsh chemicals at work in my small windowless bathroom, and the scent is strong enough to smell it but not overpowering!

The formulas generally work well: sprays, dishwasher tablets, toilet cleaner, etc. I'm not in love with the powdered dish soap, but I get it, you can't ship gel without plastic. But it's weird that that's their hangup, because they desperately need to strengthen their sustainability bona fides. The bottles, despite the "forever" nature of them, are still plastic. And they try to say it's very nice plastic, but it's really just, you know, plastic. Then there’s the sprayer, which is very slow to ‘rebound’ so each spray takes longer than it needs to. They ship things with an insane amount of paper packaging, which sure, can be post-consumer and recycled again, but you really don't need to insulate a bunch of plastic bottles or powdered tablets. Finally, their marketing frequently tries to upsell you on new bottle designs or the latest hand soap dispenser collab. The whole point is to buy these things once, not to update them every season. I want them to do well, and once you're up and running with the stuff you do use a lot less plastic than restocking normal cleaning supplies from Target or whatever, but they aren't as revolutionary as they claim (yet).

They need to improve their actual sustainability commitments. Figure out how to do post-consumer recycled glass bottles. Improve the sprayer so people aren’t tempted to abandon their system and try something else. Reduce the amount of packaging and insulation. Stop the marketing that tries to get people to buy needless product.
I love the hand soaps - a 6-pack lasts me about half the year and all the packaging is compostable! The scents are amazing, and all the bottles are very nice looking so you can keep them out and about your place.

The cleaning products require a little bit 'elbow grease' when working on tough spots, but that seems to be constant with all 'green products.' I was not a fan of the laundry detergent tabs, it did not dissolve fully with my washing machine when used on the cold or eco-friendly setting.

Have a way of taking starter soaps. I appreciate that it was made out of glass and zero reusable refillable options makes for a good housewarming gift as well. Read to reduce weight sustainable high quality.
Love, love, love Blueland for making sustainability feel easy. Their refill tablets are brilliant — no more giant plastic jugs under the sink. I get the fragrance free and one time they scent another kind. I reached out to them and they promptly sent the correct item and let me donate the one that was sent by mistake. Such an easy swap to recommend to friends.
eco-friendly cleaning products, all wrapped up in sleek packaging that’s made without single-use plastics. It is exactly what you need to clean your house and feel good about it. No worries of getting an allergy!
Switching to these unscented laundry tablets paired with the scented booster has been a game-changer for my laundry routine! The subtle fragrance the booster adds is just perfect. I'm also completely sold on their clever packaging – those little tins are adorable and so space-saving. Refilling them from bags is such a smart way to cut down on waste, it's a breath of fresh air compared to those bulky plastic jugs. Honestly, the cleaning power of the tablets and the scent boost together is unmatched; it's the best my laundry has ever been.
Blueland makes cleaning materials feel easy to store and less wasteful overall. I feel so much better cutting out plastic waste and still getting quality cleaning supplies. The soap smells amazing and it was easy to switch over cleaning supplies fully.
