  • Smooth-writing mechanical pencils
  • Soft, effective erasers
  • Reliable lighter ignition
  • Sensitive-skin razor performance
  • Flimsy plastic pen bodies
  • Visible white-out coverage
  • Break-prone cheaper pencils
  • Nick-prone close razors

Bic earns broadly positive reviews as a dependable everyday brand: its mechanical pencils write smoothly with effective erasers, BodyMark markers hold color, and lighters feel iconic, while razors satisfy many—especially the sensitive-skin line. Reviews also flag drawbacks: cheaper pens and pencils feel flimsy and break easily, white-out remains visible, and some razors shave close but can nick.

  • I have used the BIC white out several times to white out parts of things, including lower prices written on tags. It has worked pretty well although you can see where it is and that it is there. I suppose that can't be expected.

  • BIC makes a variety of high quality office supplies that meet various needs. Their white out is my go to and I like that it is very affordable. They make good pens as well that are super affordable and accessible.

  • I greatly enjoy using Bic Body Mark markers. There are a variety of colors of these body-safe markers. They allow me to try out tattoo ideas or other creative ideas on my skin. I have had them for quite a while and used them often, and they still work well, assuring me of their quality.

  • Bic Pens & lighters are just absolutely iconic & classic. I love the collaborations & custom bic lighters that I own. It makes for a great home design accessory that is so trendy & fun. The price point is great. You can custom make lighters on their website!

  • Overall Bic offers great products, I like their multipack general purpose highlighters and have no complaints with them. I am not as big a fan of the gel ones they sell, but I dislike gel highlighters in general. When it comes to pencils and pens you get what you pay for. If you are willing to spend a little more and your can get a decent quality pencil or pen that feels like a premium product. However, I am less of a a fan of many of their cheeper ones. They break way to easily and just feel cheaply made.

  • Bic Soleil are pretty decent for the price. They shave really close but you have to be careful to not cut yourself. You get a good amount per package and they’re easy to take to travel. They’re disposable so once you’re done they’re easy to toss and get a new one.

  • BIC not only makes good razors they make great mechanical pencils. They are my go to pencil when I am working on sketching for art projects and drawing lines. I like the erasers on the mechanical pencils they don’t smudge.

  • Bic makes the best mechanical pencils. They are easy to hold, write with and refill the lead. I love the bright colors and how they come in large multi-packs. I recommend anyone who likes writing to pencils to just use these - even children.

  • This is such an important staple brand. I use their mechanical pencils and lighters. I use a lot of candles so their lighters are much appreciated and they are cheap and available for sale everywhere. I write a lot.

  • I have been using these shavers for over 20 years. They're the only ones I'll use. I have very sensitive skin on my legs due to a spinal cord injury. I have no feeling in them so I would knick my legs and not even know it. The 3 blades are perfect, it's just the right amount to get a close shave without the blood shed. I like that the area around the blades is larger than normal shavers, almost cushiony.

  • I have used Bic razors for 20 years. Sometimes I go for the cheaper ones but they are not the same and head straight back to Bic. They keep my skin smooth and catch the hairs better than other razors.

  • I love their pens and mechanical pencils! I grew up using them and still do!

  • I've only tried the mechanical pencils from this brand, but they're pretty solid no matter which variety I've tried. I'm not too picky with mechanical pencils as long as the lead doesn't get stuck- which these ones don't have that issue.

  • Bic is a solid, trustworthy company that makes good razors, especially the sensitive skin line.

  • Bic pencils are reliable and comfortable to use. The erasers work well, and the lead is smooth, making writing effortless. They’re perfect for everyday tasks, but the plastic body can feel a bit flimsy at times. Overall, a great option for everyday writing, though not the most durable for heavy use.

  • I have loved Bic mechanical pencils since I was in 4th grade. I have never not had at least one since then. They are the best. They are inexpensive, they look cool, and there are enough colors and patterns that pretty much anyone can find one they like.

  • Over the years I have used & loved products from BIC. I use their pens every single day. I use the blue or black pens (BIC ROUND STIC). They write very well, the ink flows well, they last a decent amount of time.

  • Average razors that don't really do much for me. They are cheap and I would use in a desperate situation!

  • These are our go-to mechanical pencils for school. Erasers are soft and easy to use, while the "lead" writes smoothly and holds up to kids trying to break it constantly! Stock up at back-to-school time.

  • I don’t love how most of their stuff is for short term use but works in a pinch.
