Better Sour earns strong reviews for vibrant, globally inspired flavors like Calamansi, Guava, Ume, and Passionfruit, and many find it a satisfying, cleaner “better-for-you” gummy that can even aid digestion. However, reviews also flag inconsistent sourness (often mild), sticky/chewy texture that clings to teeth, occasional indistinct flavors within a bag, and gummies that can melt or fuse in warmth—making it compelling for flavor seekers, but less ideal for classic sour-candy purists.

Really interesting flavors. You should try them just for fun. But I probably wouldn’t again because of the texture. It’s a bit waxy, like biting into a sticky toffee pudding that refuses to let go of your teeth. If I don’t chew it, it’s fine, but that kind of defeats the purpose of a gummy. I think they should make guava calamansi cough drops instead—I’d buy those.

Delicious healthier gummies. Their sour and tangy level is perfect and their flavors are unique. I love that they're low sugar, making them a perfect alternative to regular gummies. The texture is chewy and I wish the gummies themselves were a big larger in size. The packaging is eye catching and the serving size is great for a quick snack.

A grown-up sour treat! Bold, clean, and plant-based. Perfect balance of tart and sweet. But—odd aftertaste and too chewy...and, the flavors are interesting. Far from the classics, however, still pretty great for a healthier candy fix. And, much better than the movie theater candy...loved Moana 2!

Of the healthy gummies out there, these have the best flavors that i've tried. They're unique and all really tasty, but they still have that high fiber gummy texture which can be hard to get past. Still really great for what they are!

I really like Better Sour Calamansi Lime Gummies. I love that they’re natural and made with clean ingredients, which makes me feel good about taking them. The flavor is just a little bit off for me—tangy in a way I wasn’t expecting—but I still enjoy them and appreciate that they’re a healthier gummy option.

I've tried both bags of this brand's candy, and they're both great. I personally like the green bag one more because it offers more interesting and exotic flavors, whilst the purple bag one gives more familiar flavors. The price for each bag is on par with other "specialty" candy bags like these. I was disappointed that these don't taste sour at all to me. I love sour, and these did nothing for me in that aspect.

I think the packaging and branding of this product is spot on. It definitely draws you in and makes you want to try it. I did really like the taste in the texture. There were a lot of different ingredients in it that I hadn’t really seen before.

The first bite may taste sour, but rest doesn't really taste sour. At least it is not too sweet. The shape makes it easier to suck till it melts. The gummy sticks a little to teeth when chewed upon. It's bit hard to distinguish the different flavors in the bag, since it suppose to be sour and the texture of the gummies are quite firm. So all three flavors tasted the same to me. The price point is bit high for the package.

I wish for two things when it comes to Better Sour: 1. It would come in a bigger bag 2. It was widely available in multiple retailers I first tried Better Sour as a sample at SXSW a couple of years ago in the vendor space. I'm glad I did! It is the most delicious gummies, in my opinion, and the flavors are really unique. I'm not familiar with Iranian-American food or flavors, so I feel like I get a glimpse of that with these candies. I truly have to restrain myself from eating the whole bag in one sitting in order to savor it. I couldn't recommend these enough.

I love that these are a better-for-you gummy with cleaner ingredients and less sugar, that’s a biggg plus for me. (Gainzz baby! iykyk) But unfortunately, the texture just isn’t great. They’re a bit too soft and lack that chewy bite I expect from a gummy. I was also hoping for a stronger sour flavor, but they’re actually pretty mild. If you're looking for a healthier option, they’re worth trying, but if you’re after that classic sour gummy experience, these might fall a little short for ya.

A healthy sour gummy WITH global fruit flavors that you rarely see in candy? I was intrigued. Flavor wise, at first I thought their OG line was 'pretty good', feeling some flavors were hit or miss, but then I had their Passionfruit flavor, and THOSE will have to be my favorite thus far. They used to have 3-flavors a pack, but they've updated their packs to focused on only 2 flavors. Smart move, I think. Will have to try em once more to see if the OG flavors are more honed. I think the brand is so unique, and I love their story and purpose. I'd be interested to see more interesting global-inspired fruit flavors in the future!
First heard about this brand on NPR. I’ve the Hawaii and Persian roots and the fact that it’s a women owned business. I buy these as gifts and bring them to social gatherings and everyone is always pleasantly surprised that they’re both good and healthy (for candy)!
Better Sour Gummies are decent, but I just didn’t love the flavors. They have a nice texture and are definitely sour, but the taste didn’t quite hit the spot for me. They might be great for others, just not my go-to candy.
I wanted to like this. I like sour stuff but these weren’t very sour. I also didn’t like the flavors in the package. The texture was too chewy for me too
I tried the green pack of gummies, and I really enjoyed these. The perfect amount of tart. It was a great snack.
Tried both flavours and the Calamansi, Guava and Ume (Sour Plum) pack was my favourite of the two. Definitely sour, but on the milder side of sour. There's no coating of critic acid around the gummy which is nice, because it lets the flavour of the fruit come through. I really appreciate the brand's mission + vision of bringing Asian flavours to the market, and the marketing plan/strategy compliments it well. That said, the pricing for these sweets is pretty high and getting ahold of them in-store (or even online) is not simple. Amazon tends to have these sporadically, and in packs of 3-4, so aside from the Locator on the brands' website, I'd recommend going there in a pinch. I hope they either come up with bigger packages and leverage on economies of scale, so they can meet their bottom line AND customers can also glean some (add) value from their purchase (vs. having to restrict their purchase to an infrequent occurrence).
Better Sour's probiotic gummies have improved my digestion after workouts. The tangy-sweet flavor is enjoyable, but they're quite sticky and can melt together in warmer temperatures. But they are yummy and interesting.
Tried their Guava flavor and it was pretty good. Not too sour which is a bit different from what they write on their product name but I favor least sourness so it's good. The ingredients are clean and low calories so it would be a better for you option of gummies!

I wanted to like these so bad because I am obsessed with sour candy and definitely eat way more than is healthy, but these have the same problem as pretty much every other "healthy" candy I've tried (and I've tried ALOT). That is, it gets super stuck in my teeth and is extremely annoying to get out, to the point where I prefer to just stop eating it. Taste is alright, but also just not close enough to actual candy to make it worthwhile. At that point I'd rather just eat the "real" thing in moderation.
I really loved these. The flavors are fun and I like that they are super sour. I ate the bag over several days but I loved them!
